John’s Pizzeria & Restaurant

This pizza place is simply decent. I find it to be a bit over-​hyped. My roommates recommended that I try as it very close to our house so I did. The pizza is a little too dry and the slices are rather uninventive. The plain slice isn’t bad though and their pinwheels are pretty good. Also there is a decent amount of seating area. John’s is just about an average pizza place.

One of the best places to get a slice of pizza. Decent prices and the staff is great as well. Would recommend.

Hands down the bestttt pizza in NYC. Eating different pizzas makes me realize that even more. Delivery is fairly quick compared to other pizza restaurants. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant itself is very cute and clean. I got lucky considering its in walking distance.

My favorite pizzeria in neighborhood, great selections of pizza’s and various delicious Italian dishes. Must try !!

This place is right by work and I like that I can run over really quick and grab a bite to eat. One thing that I like about this place is that ask soon as you approach the counter, someone is ready to ask you what you’d like to order-​whether it be the boss or even a server. I am actually blown away by how clean the place is every time I go there but it’s true! There is a waitress who is always there and she is very sweet to the customers and cleans the tables all the time and makes sure the tables have napkins, full shakers, etc. The boss seems like a cordial and funny guy too – I noticed that he remembers a lot of the regulars and asks them about their days and I think it’s sweet that he does take an interest in his customers.
We had a party at work and ordered pizza from here and I was told that the owner had sent over some extra slices [for free] because we always order from them and again this just goes to show what kind of a person is running this business. They seem very caring and appreciate people who enjoy their food.
As for the food, they have a great variety of pizzas as week as non-​pizza items. I’m boring so I either get a plain slice or a pepperoni slice but I have never had any problems with my food. I especially love how crispy the crusts are.
Overall, I have no complaints and I will probably be going back many times within the future!

I like their pizza. I usually come here when I want a quick eat at night which they don’t seem to have a lot of options. I guess they sell out early. Their potions are big.

Best pizza I have ever had! The pizza is so good I still have dreams about it. I live in Philadelphia so I would love to find pizza as good as John’s closer to home but I don’t think it’s going to happen. My grandfather used to live around the corner so I grew up eating John’s pizza. Whenever I get the chance to visit NYC which is not often enough I definitely try and stop in John’s to indulge in some of the worlds best pizza!

The warm, inviting ambience of this pizzeria doesn’t just come from the fresh plum tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella steaming off my grandma pie, but the dark wood dining room, exposed brick interior, wrap around glass display, mural wall of rural Italy and cordial staff make for a pleasant visit even if just to take-​out. All I get is either a regular Neopolitan or the Grandma. I had to knock a star because of some inconsistency in cheese/​sauce to crust ratio, but when it’s good, we’re talking molto bene. John’s done my last two Superbowl party orders right. Other than a quick slice at pizzerias closer to me, this is the place to order your pies if your in North Jamaica, Flushing, KGH, Briarwood, Kew Gardens. you get the picture? Get the pizza.

Wanting lunch on a Sunday it was the choice between this place and another. Unfortunately I made the unwise decision choosing to order from this place for the first time. I had Alfredo linguine with grilled shrimp… sigh! My tummy aches in not such a good way. The sauce was just as bland as the color. I had to put extra garlic powder, black pepper and salt to no avail! There just was no way to save that dish. I reminded me of thick warm mayo (is there such a sauce?). The Alfredo was mostly cream a touch of butter but I think they forgot the cheese. It was pretty gross to say the least.
The only upside is that the delivery guy was nice and speedy. That’s why they get 2 instead of 1 stars. I will not be back.

Really good pizza! I’ve been eating here for years. Delivery is fast. The owners and staff are friendly, it’s a pleasure to eat there.

Being from Queens this is my go to pizza place. So every time I visit NYC, I make sure to get John’s pizza, whether it is dinning in or taking out. Their food is always great and really fresh! They have a nice restaurant, and a good delivery and take out service. What I’ve tried so far:
Their garlic knots are crunchy and have the right amount of garlic seasoning. Yum!
Their Calzones are yummy and very filling.
Their cheese pizza is delicious. Love it!!!
Their Eggplant rollinti is so good. Breaded eggplant with ricotta cheese in the center with sauce.
Their Italian salad and grilled chicken salad are pretty good also. They have a good balsamic dressing.
They also make a really good baked ziti.
My family really likes their chicken parm with spaghetti and chicken Marsala with pasta.
Oh yeah and they have good desserts, I liked their tiramisu and chocolate moose cake.
All in all, John’s is the place to go for great food!

Fresh pizza and food. Great ambiance and seating arrangement. I recommend for a nice place to sit down and have a slice or two. Maybe even three :-). Good service and high quality food items

I grew up with John’s Pizzeria and cannot imagine the neighborhood without it. I have tasted pizza in different countries and cities but nothing comes close to the pizza of my childhood. Their non-​pizza items are just as good. These guys are authentic.
The interior of the pizza place is very nice and you will enjoy your meal there. Delivery is prompt. Prices are very good.

You can’t call yourself John’s and not offer up fine Italian food. How many Italian John’s do you know? This place is a Gem. There are very few great authentic pizzerias left in Queens. John’s nails it. The baked Ziti for my baby shower was made here. John will always hold a place in my heart. Delicious pizza, fine quality FRESH ingredients. The garlic bread is a blessing. Fresh minced garlic, parsley. (Kisses fingers). It’s all about the Sauce !!! The sauce here has a special zesty spice to it that brings nothing but flavor. This is what many pizzerias are lacking. Shrimp linguini is packed full of taste. Authentically crafted. My family loves John’s and will continue patronage.

This pizza was good. Btw the pinwheel has sausage and pepperoni.

The food lacked flavor and any seasoning. The sauces were bland. But i guess people don’t really order anything other than pizza here.
