Claudine & Company

Most of the time I have no problem here (besides the time they laughed at me and told me I had a lot of excess breakage)
Today I came here straight after work AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT ! I got there half an hour early hoping that I’d be in and out. Turns out I waited an hour and a half and no one even bothered to wash my hair.
The best part was there was only ONE lady being helped and two people working one of which was busy filing her nails .
Turns out, my boyfriend ended up getting a parking ticket &I Didn’t get my haircut what a way to top off our 3 year anniversary

I went to Claudine’s for my wedding hair trial and make up they were awesome! Caludine was highly recommended by a family friend, and I was so happy with their work! I had 7 people and myself getting their hair done for the wedding. All my bridesmaids took a picture of the hairstyle they wanted and Claudine did it just like the picture! My bridesmaids, Mom, and I danced all night, and our hairs were still looking good! Make sure you get there early, and give yourself enough time to get home for the photograher.

May 4, 2014 was my daughter’s First Holy Communion. She had a 9:00 appointment with Jen to get her hair done. That morning I was sitting in front of Claudine & Co at 8:50 am. 9:00 no one was in the shop. At 9:10 Jen showed up and informed me that we had to wait for her manager to show up to open the shop. We waited until 9:20 and no one showed up. My daughter had to be at the church by 10:15. Jen offered to take us back to her house to do my daughter’s hair but I lived closer so we went back to MY house and Jen did my daughter’s hair in my kitchen. Unbelievable. The manager never shows up? Who runs a business like this? I’ve lived in Howard Beach for over 25 years and I heard mixed reviews about Claudine & her staff but I thought to myself ‘no one would ditch a little girl on her First Communion’. Well if it weren’t for Jen that’s EXACTLY what would’ve happened. Please explain to me why the manager couldn’t drag her ass out of bed to open a shop at 9 am. Then she shouldn’t be a manager. I will NEVER go to this salon again and I certain will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Good Karma to Jen for showing up and being a sweetheart to my daughter.

I went to Claudine & company to have my hair highlighted and am so happy with the results. I am loving my hair now. The attention to detail and they actually listen to what I wanted done. I have been back several times since my first experience and have recommended this salon to all my friends. I highly recommend trying this salon if you want a new look to show off to all your friends. You will be sending them to Claudine & company too!

This salon is awesome. They made my crazy curly hair was finally tamed and now I have a smooth, sleek, shiny head of straight hair. FINALLY! Thanks!

Gave these guys a visit since they just recently renovated and they are back and better than ever. There a bunch of salons that I go back and forth with depending upon who I’m going with at the time. I love the new look and multi level. My hair is straight again and I will absolutely return.

I made an appointment for them to do my hair and make-​up the day of my wedding. They came highly recommended, so thought nothing of it. I got there at 9am, as directed and was promised to be out of there by 11am, which was the time I was to be across the street for photos. People had changed their plans to be there for photos for this 11am time. My wedding started at noon. I was still in the chair at 12:30 having them do my hair. What a terrible experience they made my wedding day! I missed the entire cocktail hour of my wedding and since I missed photos, I had to paste on a smile through all the stress and try to mull through the day because they didn’t even get me in the chair until almost 10am. So. if you have the entire day to sit and get your hair done-​go for this place-​but if you are looking for good, quick, pleasant service-​go somewhere else!!!
I would not recommend this place and I am sad to say that they ruined my wedding day because my hair came out crappy too!
