We aren’t regulars at this diner a few doors down from Dunkin Donuts in Jaffrey. But each time we go we find the service friendly and the ambience and scale(six or so tables and 16+ stools) just right for a traditional bacon-and-eggs breakfast among neighbors old and young. If you’re looking for trendy organic or pastel plates forget this place. However, if you’re like me and want uncomplicated retro goodness order two eggs over easy with home fries and lite onions or their version of spinach eggs Benedict with bacon and you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I love this place. We normally go every Saturday for breakfast. My wife gets the blueberry pancakes and I get Hearty Combo #1. The food is awesome. I used to like to go to Denny’s but I just can’t go back after I have now eaten here. It can be a bit crowded at times. This is to be expected because it is a great place to eat.

I’m sorry to write this negative review because I am sure the people here are hard working but I have to be honest. The server was very friendly as was all the other staff. My major qualms are with the ingredients not the people. There used to be an incredible donut shop here about 10 years ago called Mrs. Murphey’s and I worked a few summers. Dunkin’ Donuts ran them out of town and now it’s a new small service type diner. The menu is what you would expect but the quality of the food is poor. We tried a few of the specials(blueberry pancakes, diner specials) and most everything tasted like hospital food. The potatoes were under– seasoned, the eggs were not cooked as ordered, the meat was bottom barrel Sysco like stuff. I guess I could forgive the poor quality if the food was dirt cheap but it was as expensive as other places in the region(Noonie’s, Peterborough Diner etc). They are much better.

I have given them a few chances each time progressively worse, from asking for a med burger to watching the cook eat off the grill and the server handling cash then manhandle the top of my coffee cup. I really have being so negative but I got sick the last time I visited small avg portions for a hearty price. If you want food fast clean ad in a timely manner served with a smile STAYHOME this is not your place

Went here a few Mothers Days ago per a recommendation from a friend. Worst food & service ever! Seriously. I’m not picky(check my reviews LOL!!! I rarely give 1-star reviews). How do you ruin a Belgian waffle??! Serve it cold & soggy after making the customer — a MOM — wait 45 minutes on MOTHER’S DAY& then not apologize. WTH? Awful awful. Will never go back.

I had and enjoyed one of the breakfast specials, banana and blueberry pancakes. The menu seemed to be fairly standard for a diner-style restaurant; eggs, pancakes, toast, bacon, sausage, orange juice, etc. The food was good. I was in Jaffrey with my family for a wedding, and we were looking for breakfast, and hoping for an alternative to the McDonald’s across the street; Jaffrey’s Country Café fit the bill splendidly. Inside are tables along one side, and(quoting my brother) a ‘maximum surface area’ counter — that is, with lots of corners back and forth — along the other. There may also have been a little bakery section, with bagels and the like, behind the counter.
