This place is sooo tasty and our server Ralph was such a doll and makes a mean margarita!

My wife and I had an amazing exceptional 3 days here! The staff was more than accommodating, our room was perfect(not a 5-star Hotel room, but cozy, clean and all around nicely set up). We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in their restaurant because their food is really good! Their natural mineral pools and jacuzzi are absolutely wonderful! You’ll notice a slight suffer smell, but quickly discover your skin becoming smooth, and you’ll start to feel relaxed minutes upon entering the healing water! This is the only resort in California that allows this natural water to flow without chlorine, so you get 100% mineral water! Pet friendly: YES!!! We brought out two small Jack Russell Terriers! If you’re wanting a quick getaway that’s relatively close to San Diego you must check this place out! My wife and I will be returning soon!

Love this place! Such a hidden treasure that is just fantastic. The restaurant has a great menu and bar. The service is amazing, hopefully you get Lacey as your waitress! The hotel is adorable. We relaxed in the natural hot springs and sauna. Jacumba is definitely worth a visit

Very nice location, beautiful view of the Empire, warm, people of all ages. We went at night and stayed a couple of hours, but the party goes all night. Recommend!

What a find in the desert. Who said back country does not have some real gems? The restaurant was well designed, the fish and chips the best I ever had. The atmosphere a comfortable«down home» Oh by the way, the prices were a reminder of the«Old days»

What a comeback! I have been coming to Jacumba on and off for 14 years and when it turned too much of dump, I stopped coming. The resort has changed owners and has been renovated. Major overhaul and facelift. There is still more work to do on the grounds but the renovation is impressive. We had spa service with Jenny, the resident massage therapist and she was wonderful. I highly recommend her and I speak as a human and also as Holistic Health Practitioner myself that trains bodyworkers. The biggest kudos go to the Tepary Southwest grill on location! Executive chef Joe Seals has turned this restaurant from a dump to a gourmet SW cuisine destination. The renovation included the restaurant face lift, but the food! Taste bud titillating blend of flavors. Bringing flavors of the SW into comfort food. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations: the soup, Hopi lamb stew, prime rib. All cooked to perfection bursting with well seasoned flavor with out any over bearing notes. The restaurant gets 5 ***** The resort is at 3 because they still have work to do, if they keep this up they will surely get it!!! Thumbs up!

Besides the flies and limited menu… not too bad considering you are in the middle of nowhere on the edge of the Earth. Could do without the neurotic server as well.

Menu is good and the food is good, but the service is terrible. It took over an hour to get waters. The waitress just kept saying she was too busy(with a HUGE attitude) whenever we asked for anything. She only had 5 table. I have waited tables many times and that is not that many. Worst part of the experience was when she brought food for everyone else at the table but me and when I asked where my food was she said the couldn’t make what I ordered. Hello… Wouldn’t you correct this before the food comes out 1.5 hours after ordering it. Wouldn’t recommend this place unless they get a new wait staff. The one good thing here was Lacy the bartender. She tried to make everything better for us once she knew what was going on. She was pretty cool, corrected everything that was going wrong within minutes, and a really was hard worker. Someone give her a raise she was awesome. Still one star though. The waitress really messed this one up: bad attitude, rude, lazy, pretty much all around bad at her job.

Had a great experience. Had to write a second review. Food was excellent. Ordered a modified Border Patrol Burger.(Gluten-free). Delicious. Would come here again. (If you come in Mondays, the burger is $ 6.95). Now we’re getting our tour.

Solid lunch food. We had a tuna melt, Border Patrol Burger and kids Mac n Cheese. All were very good and the plank style fries were very well cooked. Definitely worth the couple of minutes from the freeway for good local food.

The hotel and spa is listed elsewhere. The restaurant deserves a review by itself. It closed a couple of years ago and was looking very tired. Now it is really spiffy — redecorated, new artifacts, new owner, new staff. It has come together wonderfully. Three of us dropped by on our motorcycles and had a great lunch. Two of us had the specials(pulled pork sandwich — $ 5.99 and New York steak sandwich — 6.99) and another had a ‘Border Patrol’ burger $ 8.99. Beautifully cooked and nicely presented, huge portions and quick service. What’s not to like? I really hope this place stays open as there isn’t much else for miles around that is worth visiting. And no, I have no connection whatsoever with this restaurant. I just think it’s great :) Ooops, I spelled Jacumba wrongly in the title, and now I can’t edit it.

Very friendly, very local hangout with decent food and free wi-fi for customers. Worth the short drive(3 mi) off the highway to avoid gas station food and check email. Comfortable couches, clean restroom, and the typical diner fare.
