Ok, so I live right behind edgewood bakery and usually go to the Chinese takeout place on Normandy because it’s so good. We were feeling lazy and were trying to look for a place that delivers instead and after passing by this place a million times we decided to try it since they delivered. We tried the chicken teriyaki sticks and crab Rangoon which were good. For our meals my boyfriend had the house lomein which he liked and I ordered the Singapore Mei fun which was a little bit spicier than I’m used to at the other place. All in all the food was good, basically your typical Chinese fare. Now, the one thing that really impressed me was the delivery time. Seriously I think it took probably 15 minutes from the time I called to the time they knocked at my door. I know I only live like 5 minutes away from them if that but I also live 5 minutes away from dominos and they still take an hour to get to my house. That was pretty much amazing to me and the fact that their food was good as well have made them earn another customer.

These guys are a mess! The chic who answers pretends she barely speaks English and is slammed.
The last three times I ordered from them they forget something!!! The food is good jus not worth their fake act.

Wok N Roll sell the best Chicken and Broccoli in town with an Egg Roll it’s delicious the restaurant I go to is on Edgewood at Plymouth right next to the railroad tracks

I have been ordering from this restaurant for over a year. It used to be a decent place, the food was never anything to write home about but the price was good and delivery was fast. In the last 4 months it has gone downhill. 2 of the last 4 times I’ve ordered they’ve gotten my order wrong. And the last two times I ordered egg rolls there was more oil in them than filling. It kind of puts me in a bad spot because no one else delivers to my house. But its bad enough that I’m going to start ordering and picking up from somewhere else.

I decided to try this spot because it’s closer to my house than the Chinese place I usually visit. I thought you couldn’t mess up basic Chinese food, but I was wrong. Although the food was ready fast, it wasn’t a great experience. The inside was dingy, and my order was wrong. We ordered beef and broccoli and got some sort of chicken Lo mein, instead. My sweet and sour chicken was so burnt I couldn’t eat some of them because they were too hard. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Love their wonton soup and shrimp eggrolls, but hate their bathroom.

However, their bathroom will give you nightmares. Not only does it smell like a sewer (COWABUNGA!), but the hot water also doesn’t work! Makes me a little anxious.

Love this place. The owners a very nice. The place is clean and the food is very good.

Your typical super market plaza Chinese take out place. But in a cool upcoming neighborhood.

Although their food is not 5 star, Wok n Roll is definitely my fav Chinese restaurant when I’m in the Murray Hill/​Riverside area. Whenever I go in the staff is always pleasant and helpful. They have even gave me recommendations based on what I’m in the mood for. The best part for me though is their fast service and their delivery. It’s always fast and if you are getting it delivered with a certain radius, the delivery is free. If you are in the mood for fast, good Chinese, this is the place for you.

The food here is really your typical fast food type of Chinese. It’s nothing to write home about but the food is decent. My two children love it, probably because it is fast and it’s some place that they can suggest and we probably will say yes because the prices are reasonable for their combos. I do have to say that I really like their eggrolls. I think perhaps because they remind me of what I had when I was a kid.

First off there was no A/​C. Then the young lady behind the counter was not very let’s say inviting or did she like here job. The boss lady said something to her, kind of loud. You know like Gordon Ramsey on hell’s Kitchen. Then she looks up and says I have no idea what she just said. So I order Pork low mien and egg rolls. When I received my to go order cause it was hotter inside then outside. I thought I got the big boy dish but I received the child’s package. Look at me lady, do I look like a child. I could eat a kid I’m a Fat Kid. I will say that the low mien wasn’t that bad. The egg rolls were way over and if you want something like mustard it’s over there on the counter in the plastic boxes. I know I might eat here again so maybe it will get better. I’m really glad that I’m working at what I know is going to be a shining light of good food in this area. Maybe a week or 10 days till it opens. Then there will be good food in Murray Hill.

So after the previous bad experience I have not had any issues. This is still my regular Chinese food spot. I only order veggie lo mein now though. I tried the Green Lake Chinese place on Roosevelt that gets such glowing reviews and I really did not think it was any better than this place.

WOW!!! The food here is really good! :) I’ve driven past here a million times on my way to other Chinese restaurants and I’ll admit I unfairly judged this place by someone else’s comment and their outside façade. But don’t let that deter you. This location has delicious, authentic food with fantastic flavor. And they are extremely generous with their portions. And they deliver… :)
FOR DINNER: I ORDERED the Orange Chicken with white rice ($ 7.76 incl. tax), the Hunan Chicken that came with their special fried rice ($ 7.76 incl. tax) & from the recommendations of other reviewers, I added the Singapore Chow Mei Fun extra spicey ($ 8.51 incl. tax.). This was around 8:15pm on a Tuesday night.
Pretty starved, I called back at 8:26pm to add the last dish listed above. I was told my food was already done at that time & they were about to deliver it. However, the girl on the phone said it was no problem and they would bring my entire order right away after they cooked the Singapore Mei Fun. TIME: 8:40pm @ my door. They’re good.
OVERALL, I would definitely recommend the food here as I really enjoyed the taste of all the dishes I ordered, everything was hot and fresh, the service was exceptional, the price is right, the delivery was super fast and they even gave me two free eggrolls! Loved it! 4 STARS

Food was tepid and had very little flavor. I didn’t even like the vegetable fried rice. Do not recommend.

Best fast food chinese in the area. Green lake on roosevelt is expensive and they don’t deliver china joy in 5 points is just bad, absolutely terrible. This place is perfect! Great food great prices great delivery times and the food is hot

We live too far away for delivery from here, so we always have to go pick the food up ourselves. This may sound odd, but if it weren’t for the fact I used their restroom the last time we were there to pick up our food, I would be giving them 4 stars. I’ll explain later on.
The food here tastes great. I’ve been a fan of this particular chain for years as I’ve also eaten many times at the one on the Northside and the one in Arlington. i’m a huge fan of honey chicken and that’s what I order no matter what Chinese place I’m at. They make the best honey chicken I’ve ever had. The other dishes are great too like the beef lo mein, fried rice, and won ton soup. Hubby also really loves their general chicken. We’ve never minded to 15 – 20 minute drive to pick-​up food from here because we love it so much.
Until…
The last time we picked up food, our order wasn’t quite ready when we arrived and I needed to use the restroom. Now the restaurant itself is nothing fancy; it’s actually kind of an eyesore (both inside and out). It’s old, dark, and in desperate need of a remodel. But I’ve never thought too much about it.
Anyway… I walked down the hall to the unisex restroom (for employees and customers) and it was very narrow with boxes piled everywhere. I entered the restroom. OMGosh! Horrible, filthy, disgusting, smelly, and *** insert other gross words here ***!!! Think old run-​down gas station with the outside restrooms that look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. Yea. That’s what this restroom looked like. The floors, the walls, the toilet, the sink… Uggggg! Dirt and grime all over with water everywhere. Wet toilet paper stuck to the floor. Urine on the toilet seat. As if all of that isn’t bad enough… It.Gets.Worse! There were shelves against one wall with open boxes filled with the styrofoam containers they use to put the food in. Right there in the restroom … completely exposed with all that filth! And in case you’re wondering, no, I didn’t use the restroom, I walked out.
Hubby had the food in hand when I got back to the front of the restaurant. He opened the door for me, we walked out, and got in the car. I must have had one disturbed look on my face because as soon as we got in the car he asked me what was wrong.
When we got home with the food, I was barely able to take more than 2 or 3 bites. Every time I would try to take a bite, I would think of that restroom and the styrofoam containers and I would get ill.
Needless to say, that was a few months ago and we have not returned. Why oh why I didn’t think to take pictures of that restroom, I’ll never know. Maybe i was in too much shock? I’m kicking myself now for not doing so!
I know restaurants get citations, etc. Many people have the philosophy of «it’s ok as long as it doesn’t make me sick.» I actually tend to be that way a lot of the time too b/​c I know no place can be 100% perfect. Hell, even the cleanest person’s home kitchen still has bacteria. But I digress… My point is, after seeing that with my own eyes… I just can’t wipe it from my mind. And if their restroom looked like that… what the hell does the kitchen look like? What does the storage area look like where they keep the uncooked food? For me, those are scary thoughts!

Today my food was delivered right on time, as warm as if I had just cooked it myself and DELICIOUS! Can’t beat the price for the amount of food!

Not sure what has been going on lately, but the delivery times are much slower than they have been in the past. 30 – 45 mins, instead of the super speedy 20 – 25.
Not the biggest deal, and pretty average for most places, but the past two orders have been within the above timeframe.
FYI.

5 stars for delivery speed but –3 stars for taste and quality. Is this what passes for Chinese food here in jacksonville? I’ve had better Chinese food in New Mexico… I’m sure you can imagine not very good. Will not be ordering again.

While visiting family we decided to spring for some Chinese and was told this was the best I the area, if so … ugh,
Don’t get me wrong the food was OK just not authentic deliciousness that Chinese should be, a typical Florida problem no matter where you reside…
I am also taking away a star for no double sautéed pork
