Went on a Saturday morning with my American wife. Quiet at 11:00am, which I like. I swapped out the black pudding for fried tomato(I’m from Portsmouth) and was served the perfect English breakfast. 2 sausages; bacon; fried egg; Heinz baked beans; toast. HP sauce on the side. Fantastic! Tea was PG I think served with your own tea pot. Lovely jubbly. Very friendly family owned British café. They have a tea room which you can hire(minimum 6 people starting at $ 12:50 per person. Beautiful little private room). They also sell British food. Pasties; meat pies; sausages and all the usual popular things. Walkers crisps; Heinz soups; oxo; branston pickle; milky bars etc… We bought a box of frozen meat pies; fabulous sausage rolls; crisps; oxtail soup. One great thing they have is Sky Sports on the tv. Sitting there eating my breakfast, drinking tea with the sound of the football scores being called out in the background made me feel like I was back home. That is quite an achievement living in Arkansas. All I needed was a copy of the Sun newspaper to round it off. All in all a wonderful place for ex-pats looking for a flavour of home and Americans who want to try something a little different from their usual fare. Highly recommended. We hope to be returning many times in the future.
