I go here for running interval workouts and I love this track. It usually has runners yet not a lot of traffic on the track. I love using the track as opposed to asphalt because it gives a lot better. UNF has some great running trails too.

I have only been to hodges stadium in a volunteer capacity and for a class in which all of the students participated in a relay race. There’s nothing like a bunch of college students(many of them out of shape), running a race in the sweltering heat. At least the track surface is nice! During our relay race, the class encountered a group of firefighters running laps, which included running up and down the stairs(in full gear). These guys made me tired watching them! I helped line the field for various events for a track meet. It was a lot of work, but it was kind of cool to watch these athletes run, jump, and throw their way to medals. The other staff involved in the meet were very helpful in helping me, as I was new to the track world. If you ever get the chance to come to an event or volunteer, stop by the stadium, as you’re sure to be impressed.

I was shocked over the entire UNF campus, I had no idea how big and nice it is. We came here for a UNF soccer game and were also shocked over what a nice stadium this is. AND they served beer — score! Much of the stadium was unused the night we were there which made it a little creepy if you wandered away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a great stadium for local events! There is plenty of bench seating and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. This is a pristine field that in 2005 the Philadelphia Eagles and more recently the local Semi Pro Rugby team, the Axemen have used for practice and match play. Pristine does not just mean the grounds but the concourse bathrooms as well! A definite plus in my book! Sporting events are often held at this location so make sure you check the University of North Florida calendar on their website to see what may make for a great afternoon in the Florida Sunshine!
