Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Vegetarian in the land of chain restaurants and fast food is always difficult, so when I came across this place, I was very impressed. The Thai Chicken Wrap with the vegan chicken option was more than acceptable — warm, filling, and slightly spicy. Yes, I’ve had better, but the stars get bumped up given the circumstances of the area.
The real golden aspect of this place is the smoothies. I’m used to places like Jamba Juice where you pay $ 5 for a tiny smoothie. Here, you pay $ 5 and get a 24oz superfood smoothie (that is impressively delicious).
Needless to say, if I’m ever in this neck of the woods again, I’ll be stopping at Tropical Smoothie Café for a filling meal.

This place serves up delicious and fresh smoothies. I love that you can lower the calorie count by asking for Splenda instead of sugar and add supplements (Immune Boost Vitamin C is a fav) for a healthy boost. Although not perfect nutritionally, I do feel a little less guilty having a smoothie from this place rather than a milkshake from a fast food competitor. Current personal favs include the Peanut Butter Cup (kind of a splurge but so good!) and the Cucumber Mojito. Can’t really comment on the food here, I’ve never eaten at the Jacksonville store though I do remember the wraps being really good at another location near my house in Las Vegas. Military discount is offered, just ask and show ID if not in uniform.

A really good lunch option in Jacksonville where your only lunch options are really Chili’s or Thai Taste, or fast food. I love their smoothies, Twig & Berries is my fave! They have good fresh salads, sandwiches, & wraps. My hubby always gets the Thai Chicken wrap– a tortilla with lettuce won ton pieces, veggies, & peanut sauce, YUM. My fave is their chicken caesar salad or Turkey Bacon Ranch, both are delicious! Stop in if youre looking for a fresh, healthier option in Jacksonville!

Great place to eat, but sometimes can be a little pricey. I love the King Caesar Wrap, it is the bomb! Bring a jacket because it’s always freezing in there…
