This is a good, solid Starbucks. It’s larger than you first realize and clean, although the patio needs a bit of sprucing up(might just be due to the windy, wet weather?). It has a decent coffee smell inside(some SB smell like burned coffee, a real turn off). There is no drive-thru here, unfortunately and the parking lot is frequently packed due to the medical clinic two doors down. We came here about 2:30 pm on a Friday and it was full of customers with two workers behind the counter and one cleaning. They really hustled though and there was hardly a wait for our Frappuccinos(Salted Caramel Mocha and Java Chip, both«tall»). We chose a pecan tart for our treat. It was a nice size, perfect for sharing and we were offered the choice of having it warmed or not(we chose warm). The Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino is my downfall and this one was not a disappointment. It was delicious and decadent, just like it should be. My daughter’s was enjoyed but I didn’t taste it, being too busy enjoying my own. LOL The pecan tart was average, just a mini pecan pie, that’s all, but since the weather was cool outside it felt right. LOL As I said, this is a good solid place to go. Our order was very simple, but the person in front of me in line gave one of those bizarre complicated orders you usually see comedians joke about, but the cashier and the barista didn’t bat an eye and made it exactly as ordered. I prefer to spend my coffee money in a locally owned place, but we were on an errand and there were no coffee cafes in this part of town, so this Starbucks will continue to get my business when I’m over here.

I stop at this Starbucks because it’s on my way to work when I need a fix. The staff is very friendly and I’ve never had a bad experience there. The parking lot can get a little crazy from about 8 – 9:30 but the line moves quickly.

Standard Starbucks. Good drinks, free wifi and clean bathroom. They also have a lot of food & snack options. No drive thru though!

Friendly service. Guy behind the counter was great. One girl was very familiar with other regulars and their«usuals». It’s a clean business, with plenty of seating, although it is a small space. Located in the prime spot of the corner of Beach and University it caters to many people in the hospitals, Virginia College, HR Block and many more surrounding businesses. Friendly staff and great coffee are expected from any Starbucks so this was a great visit that ensured I will return when I’m in the neighborhood… Now to just get a second job to support my 6 shots of espresso addiction.

The staff here is super friendly and they make my drink just right every time which is a hard thing when you go to a chain place. The wait can be a little crazy in the morning but they do keep the line moving. Overall I make it in to this location at least twice a week and I’m never disappointed.

Not much of a coffee drinker. My friends like to come here & hang out, relax, and talk sh*t. The smoothies are good. I also love a good cheese danish. Mmmmm… It is right down the street from me so that is cool. It being an older Starbucks they don’t have a drive thru, but the inside is nice and cozy & they have wifi… FTW!

Friendly staff here — willing to top off your cup and strike up a chat. Clean, well-kept place with admittedly not a ton of seating but enough to relax with your tasty beverage. They have board games to your left as you walk in if that’s your thing.
