OMGoodness… just had lunch there for my birthday. Beyond good… it is wonderful!!! I had the 16 oz Rib-Eye steak with Spaghettini w/marinara as my side. Had ¾ of the steak leftover, and not because it wasn’t great… just too big! It was tender and juicy and awesome! We also had the caprese mozzarella salad which was also amazing. Our server was Rachel… she was confident, courteous, polite and knowledgable… she rocked. Will go again and again and again!!! Thanks Roma for coming back to Jacksonville… we have missed you!

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Jacksonville for ten months before discovering this awesome Italian restaurant. I LOVE Italian food. Let’s just say none of the chains even come close. There’s no reason to visit Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, or Johnny Carino’s when Roma Italian Restaurant is just a few minutes north of those places. The garlic bread is beyond awesome. I had the Capelini with chicken, a hearty serving of spaghetti in a white wine sauce topped with squash, zucchini, capers, peppers, mushrooms, and either chicken for $ 12 or shrimp for a few dollars more. I very much enjoyed this dish but am looking forward to trying something different the next time. Joe had Spaghettini«The Works», spaghetti with marinara, meatballs, mushrooms, and Italian sausage. I’m not big on marinara sauced dishes, but I sampled the spaghetti and it was quite good. Joe enjoyed it immensely. The servings were robust and filling, so we didn’t try any of the desserts, nor did we try any appetizers. However, we will sample more items on our next venture there. Don’t let the unassuming restaurant at the end of a strip mall fool you– this place rocks. Skip the bland chains and feast here.

I really like this restaurant. I’ve been here four or five times and always had very filling well made meals. There marinara sauce is not overly bitter well made. I really like the chicken Alfredo. There Alfredo sauce is very creamy and it doesn’t get pasty as it cools. Unless you have a very large appetite or sharing with someone get the kids menu it’s enough for one person. My only true complaint is the baked ziti has a bit too much for ricotta cheese. I would’ve liked a little more meat in the sauce. Dipping sauce for the bread is simply wonderful. I would like to have a little more crustier bread. The staff is great service wonderful. The prices are affordable.
