Best pool hall in Jax, Bright and non smoking would be enough, but the tables are great as are the house cues. They do have a smoking room in the middle of the place for smokers. Staff is professional and courteous. Lots of beers, but just appetizer type food, which is fine since i go to play pool, not have dinner. Good crowd. They have a small shop, but Ken was able to order the cue i wanted at a great price. It’s not for everyone. There is another nice pool hall close by, but it is smoky no matter how much ventilation. Also, There are a lot of dives with pool tables in Jax, and i enjoy all of them, but if you want to play in a well lit, non smoking pool hall with good equipment, this is it.

Dress code for a tacky pool hall? Um okay. And they took the best part out which was the hookah lounge. Okay. And then they don’t even have a full bar? Just beer… Yeah. Done. No thank you.

If you can get past the sketchy parking lot this place is a must for darts and pool. My wife and I stop by now and then and play darts and have beer. I like that most of the bar is smoke free except for what I like to call the«Fish Tank» in the middle of the bar for the smokers. decent prices and plenty of TV’s.

Went to throw darts and have a few beers only to be passed by twice by the bartenders and then asked have I been helped only to be told my hubby could not wear a tank top which was a sleeveless jersey. Said he had to put on a shirt or jacket over it. Excuse me but do we not live in FLORIDA one of the hottest states??? And what’s with the workers with shorts up their butts and side boobs hanging out and you say no tank tops? WTF…BADBUSINESS!!!

So I walk into this pool hall with my friend, and it looks great I will give it that. But a couple moments after my friend and I walk in, I’m informed that tank tops aren’t allowed to be worn on the premises. I already have a problem with that rule as it is, simply because we live near a beach and because I’m obviously not gang affiliated(not wearing a snapback and the tanktop wasnt a wife beater). Enough about that though, what really pissed me off was when I approached the bar area to talk to the bartender who was throwing me out, the guy sitting at the bar directly on my right was wearing a tank top, a Lakers tank top as a matter of fact. What a horrible way to run a business. I won’t be back and won’t recommend to anybody. I hope you are happy now Q Ball.

My 1st time going to this place was last weekend. As pool-halls go, this is one of the best lit, and non-smoky BUT smoker friendly, clean, well managed, polite bartenders, and good designed one I have EVER been to. Staff is nice, and owner is Happy! Tables are clean and well built, and plenty of the with good lighting. Other games besides pool to play around. Plenty of bar seating for drinkers. plenty of side wall seating for players. A «smoke lounge» with vents for the smokers to stay warm inside with closed door but clear windows all around so keep an eye on your game or date cheaters, lol. A hookah lounge with closed door Food menu TV’s Bar games Coin machines A mix of all races and sex and age Very well maintained and clean Happy made me feel at home, and all bar talkers were friendly. I will go back, I do NOT miss the smoked out pool halls. Nothing like quite smoking and still going hoe smelling like an ashtray.lol. This place, you won’t. I dig it!

What’s not to love about a billiards hall? Well sometimes it’s the price. I found Q Ball to be very conveniently located. For a while it was right on the way home, and everyday I passed it I felt like I should stop in. Finally I did and while at first I was very pleased and scratching my head wondering why I’d not done it sooner, when I got the bill I realized why. This is a very clean establishment with nice, new tables, a well stocked bar, and they even have a room in the middle for smoking! That being said you are ceertainly paying for what you’re getting. They have 12 or more relatively new tables that are well leveled and have firm felt. If you play pool at all you can appreciate a good table. They have shuffleboard(of the standing variety) for those that like that, as well as darts. The pool and shuffleboard are«pay by the hour» and personally I felt like the prices were a little steep for me. If you really have an itch to play on a quality table then this place is certainly your go-to, but for your casual player the quarter tables at most bars will suffice. As for the bar. I found it to be well stocked, and while I was there the bartenders were pleasant to talk to while still being attentive to everyone at the bar. My drinks were priced a little on the high side, but made well. There is no smoking at the bar, as with most of the rest of the pool hall. In the center of the building there is a little enclosed room that is for cigar/cigarette smoking. This keeps the non-smokers happy, while not making us smokers go outside which I appreciated. I didn’t have a problem parking, but I got there relatively early. On a busy Friday night you may have a bit of trouble, so keep that in mind. Overall, I did enjoy my experience at Q Ball and I’d recommend it to anyone that doesn’t mind spending a little extra to play pool in a nice place.

Wow, you mean I got to this before Julez?!? Nice. Let’s talk about Q Ball Billiards. Good place to grab a drink and shoot some pool. Plenty of nice Brunswick tables. Cues in good condition. A reasonable hourly rate. Plenty of space between tables. What more do ya want? A decent bar. Not amazing taps, but they’ll get the job done. Some video games, ping pong and table shuffleboard. Big ol’ bonus: Non-smoking. Get home without stankin’ like an ashtray(yeah, I’m that guy that gave up cigs 10 years ago and doesn’t like foggy bars, and LDC has asthma, so this is HUGE). Bottom line: When we think of the many times we passed by Q-Ball and didn’t check it out, we’re left scratching our heads. Then, once we dropped in, we just wound up scratching our(cue) balls. Great place. We’ll be back. Recommended.
