The pharmacy in this Publix has just recently been added. I’m quite thankful for the addition because this Publix is the closet to my home. There’s one prescription medication I take which my insurance does not pay for, so I have to pay for it out-of-pocket and it’s pretty costly. I get this prescription filled at Publix because they offer the cheapest price for it. The entre staff are friendly which is nice to see in a pharmacy. Most pharmacies stay so busy and I think a lot of the employees feel this gives them a free pass to be rude and act as though they are doing you a favor. Well, last I checked, I’m the customer giving them my business(money) so I’m the one doing them a favor. Here, at this Publix pharmacy, I’m always treated kindly and never rushed. Once I had to speak with the pharmacist about a change in my medications and how the medication being filled here may have new side effects. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient and made sure to answer all of my questions. I could tell she actually cared about my understanding and being correctly informed. I also never have to wait very long for my prescription to be filled. The longest I’ve had to wait was 25 minutes. Not bad at all. I like this pharmacy so much that I’m actually considering switching from CVS and having all my prescriptions sent to this Publix. If I do this in the future, I’ll write a review update as to how their call system works for refill reminders, etc. You can’t go wrong using this pharmacy and you can even get some grocery shopping done while you wait! Oh, and I almost forgot… there are several prescription medications which are free(this is at all Publix pharmacies). Lisinopril(blood pressure medication) is free, Metformin(diabetic medication) is free, and these antibiotics are free: Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Cephalexin(capsules and suspension only), Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim(SMZ-TMP), Ciprofloxacin(excluding Ciprofloxacin XR), and Penicillin VK.
