I have been here for a haircut and highlights, as well as for a massage on 2 separate occasions. As long as you arrive with the understanding this is a school and not a fully functional spa or salon, you are sure to have a great experience.

Went to get a haircut and pedicure with my girlfriend the service was great! the teachers were attentive keep a eye on the students making sure they did everything right. I even had the chance to meet the owner of the school Mrs. Linda who was eager to make sure we enjoyed are visit. I plan on going back!

This school is very disappointing. The only reason I decided to attend was because they’re the only school in Jax where you don’t have to take the full Cosmo program to do the nails or skin. I went for the full speciality program. They go through staff like crazy. The turnover rate is extremely high. Not to mention the owner linda is very very very very extremely rude. linda is nice nasty. Trust me you will be stressed to the max if u go. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. Linda is very very very very very extremely rude. She yells at the students. Talks down on them. She makes you feel very uncomfortable. Very unwelcome. The teachers don’t teach you anything. The school is very unorganized and all over the place. The staff is rude and well as the owner. I just can’t bring myself to say anything nice about this place. Expect for the location. I guess it’s ok. But that’s it. Run!!! Run far!!! Worst beauty school in Jax. I’m entitled to my own opinion. You can feel however. Stop harassing my review.

I really wanted to like this place. The prices were great and people were polite but something just felt off about my services and the location. They also felt quite disorganized which gave me some anxiety. I think that my first impression walking into the building downstairs just turned me off and set the course for the evening. The building was very old and creepy, not in a charming way, I felt like I was entering into a horror movie with stains on the carpet, little odd doors, and narrow hallways. The elevator had this tiny door with chipped, old paint. I was just waiting for the lights to flash out and someone to grab me. Needless to say I opted for the stairs on the way out.(The actual spa area is not as bad, mainly the downstairs and the elevator were undesirable). I am not a novice to student spa services, I have been frequenting Paul Mitchell, Heritage Institute, Aveda Institute and the Fortis Institute for years so the fact that my services were given by students had no impact on my experience. I was directed here by a Living Social deal for a Mani, Pedi, Facial and Microderm for $ 30. You get what you pay for. While the Mani and Pedi were what I would expect the facial and microderm were not. The entire double service took all of 20 minutes. I am used to a «basic» facial lasting at least 30 minutes plus the microderm, there were also no extractions done which is my main reason for getting a facial but I guess it’s not included in the basic. I was also put off that they did not turn down the lights in the facial room to make it a relaxing experience and the facial chair was tiny and not particularly inviting. Overall, my visit served the purpose physically but I feel that the sensory experience was less than desirable and to me relaxation and comfort are just as important as the sloughing off of skin…

Not a bad school to go to. They do hair, massage, nails. Bring cash for the tip. I went at 9:30am on a Saturday for a mni/pedi and a haircut. I was finally done by around 1pm. You have to keep in mind, these are students and are in «Training». I had three girls do each thing, so I paid each girl a $ 5.00 tip because they are students. Each girl was very professional and nice. I will go back. My first visit was very pleasant. The Owner owns TheLady who owns Parisian Spa behind Regency Square Mall, also owns The Insitute also. I have gone to the Regency location for massages.
