Miller’s Hodges Ale House

Ehh, typical sports bar food… nothing we had that would make me want to go back. Zingers are their «specialty» but not that special. Beers are overpriced during happy hour & service was just okay. They have some cheap lunch specials, but if the service is as slow during the day as at dinner it’s not worth it.

Flawless service every time! Michelle Dupree is our preferred server. She anticipates every need we may have and makes great suggestions. Awesome personality. Wish she worked more! Thanks for always making a great experience for my friends and family!!!

I’ve been coming to Ale House for years and it’s still the same old quality place to grab a beer with friends. We’ve watched so many games, UFC and boxing matches at Ale House that I’ve lost count.
This particular location has a nice ‘outdoor’ bar/​patio with plenty of tables and TV’s. The patio is outside but completely covered on top and has sides that can be lowered as well when raining or cold. Nice setup.
The BBQ zingers (chicken fingers) are my go-​to and have been for years. They aren’t overcooked or too crispy and have plenty of meat. Throw in some pitchers of beer and you’ve got yourself a perfect combo.
This location also has one pool table near the back and several games (Buck Hunter, claw machine, etc.). The servers here have always been super friendly and quick to help us out with whatever we need; usually another pitcher.
If you’re in the area and need to catch up with friends or watch a game then swing through the Ale House…

Drink cheapish drinks, eat wings, watch football, rinse repeat. Don’t get fancy and order some dumb shit and you’ll be fine.

I was going to my son’s house and saw the restaurant. I love steak so I thought I would try it. It was crowded but I was led to a table top. I waited for an expected amount of time. My waitress’ name was Sara and she was very nice and efficient. My steak was very good. Two negatives were I was not offered bread and my salad and entrée came at the same time. She apologized for this. It’s not a meal killer for me. I would go back again.

Came here for a friend’s birthday and we had a pretty big party. We had called ahead to let them know we had a big party coming in (since they don’t reservations, even for big parties, for some reason) so despite our warning, we still had to wait over an hour because 2 other big parties refused to leave, even after getting their checks. So we had to wait.
The hostess was insanely rude. We wanted to sit together and she seemed to think we were being an inconvenience by waiting up front for a table to open up. Even some of the other servers seem to think that this particular hostess has a major attitude problem. I get that it can be stressful, but that’s no reason to talk sh! t about paying customers to your fellow employees.
The only redeeming thing about this location is that the servers were all decently nice and food was as expected. Our server was very personable and did a great job, so I commend him and I wish I knew his name.
Overall I think Ale House needs to fix their rules regarding big parties, especially on Saturday nights when you only have TWO large party tables. Reservations should be taken for parties of like, 12 or more, and even though people can hang out if they want, standing around for an hour after youre done when another party is obviously waiting is not exactly ideal. I wouldn’t have minded the other party not leaving as much if we didn’t have a rude hostess giving us attitude the entire time.

When you go to an Ale House you know what you’re going to get. Both the menu and the atmosphere stay the same. I usually try to eat healthy were ever I go. The less than 600 calorie area does have a few selection. This time I tried the Zingers that are grilled. What a let down this was. The 6 small pieces were dry and tasteless. The few stalks of celery really made this plate look like every diet dish cliché you have seen.

We walked in with our workout gear, we sat there for like 5 min.
The hostess and waitress were just talking about their day, I had to approach them to get a table.
After that our waitress took our apetizer order and even suggested on since we couldn’t make our mind.
So she gave us some time to think on it.
When she comes back my friend took a little more time to think on it, she looked like she gave us an attitude but we didn’t think of it too hard.
So we got our apetizers, the only people that were great were the ones that brought the food out.
All smiles and courteous.
Our waitress comes around and with 2 cups, one empty and one half full of water.
She asked my friend if she needed a refill.
Of course she said yes and the waitress poured the water from the cup she was holding into my friend’s cup… we looked at it because we didn’t know how to respond to that.
So I asked if that cup was from another table.
She gave me this outraged look like we were supposed to know where this came from.
After that we just felt attitude from her.
The food was great, HUGE portions but the service was below average.
They need to have the people from the back wait on table not the other way around.
Really disappointed…

Ate their chicken nachos two days ago and I still can’t trust a fart… Seriously my stomach is ruined can’t leave the house without a bottle of pepto with me, they weren’t even that good, like the outcome wasn’t worth it. Our waitress was really nice but she was a Pats fan (ewww)

Service great. Wings were amazing. Very kid friendly. Lighting at table was a bit bright and uncharming. Server suggested we just turn the bulb. Much better. Great TVs with lots of views.

Took my parents and sister out and had a great time! Had TV’s playing every ESPN network known and then some. Great atmosphere and the food was spot on. Had Thad and he was a great waiter. Will go again and definitely recommend it to any one else!

Ok folks, if you’re ready to drop it like it’s hot and play P. Diddy (is he still called that?) for the night head out to The Ale House. Say what, what? YUP, we’re going to make rain up in this… $ 15 dish will serve you up 6 MINISCULE scallops. Never in my life– at least not without a bottle of Dom! You best recognize, head to the sea and catch your own, you’d have a better chance at finding 6 LARGE scallops than at Ale House. On the upside, manager acknowledged that these babies (literally) were not what was touted on the menu and comped the dish. Whew, I needed to bring it back down to playing Amanda Bines and drinking my Natty Light! I’m going to give an amen for the MOD.

We ordered the fiesta nachos. On the bright side u get lot chips that are baked in oven then tipping added. The chips were wicked dry had no flavor, had to ask for 2 sides salsa to add too put on top just to swallow them. Our server April was really great, and took great care of us. $ 2 tequila sunrise and draft beers!

Great experience! We stopped here while in town to watch the NCAA finals. We sat in the outdoor bar area. There were more than enough TVs for everyone at the table to enjoy the game.
Our group stayed for several hours and our waiter was very attentive the entire time, always a plus! The chicken zingers were great!
My one reservation is that the outdoor area was covered and people were smoking. Our group members were polite and went all the way out side to smoke, I wish others had done the same.

The Ale House is what it is. It’s a place to have a cold beer and halfway decent pub food. That being said, today my son and I went to have a quick lunch. I ordered a medium-​rare burger with extra swiss and mushrooms — that’s it. When it arrived, I immediately realized that there was barely any swiss on it — forget the extra cheese I ordered. When the server asked, she too noticed I didn’t get what I ordered. Because of time, I told her not to worry about it, and that was it.
Let me be clear: I did say not to worry about it, but would you think they would possible waive the soda charge, or knock a little off the bill? Uh… no.
Frankly, I guess I can’t be too bummed, but I did think it was an opportunity for them to make the situation somewhat better.

Always love stoping by this Millers the bartenders know me so I always have great service at the bar and the food is always so amazing no matter what I order! Sticking to fish Friday’s I ordered the calamari start and they cook it surprising perfect every time! It comes with a sweet chili sauce and I add the tangy plum sauce that I love! I also got their Sam Adams beer batter fish and chips that comes with a huge portion of crispy coated fish that melts in your mouth! The fish is so flavorful with a squeeze of lemon and their tartar sauce. I love their fries and coleslaw too! Another great visit to millers!

I haven’t been here in three years because my memory of the place was pretty bad. I gave it another shot this weekend and rememebered why it’s been so long since I was there last.
First off I paid $ 6 for a Blue Moon on tap. Blue Moon costs less than that on a cruise ship. $ 5 bucks for an Intuition Pale Ale. The worst part was both beers were skunky and hardly paletable. Probably an issue with the beer pump.
The waitress got our order wrong, did the very minimum as far as service goes and had no personality whatsoever.
The food was slow. They asked if we wanted out entrée before the fries because the fries were taking too long to cook. When they food did come out, one entrée had fries that had been sitting under the warmer for who knows how long and the other entrée had par cooked fries that they were obviously in a hurry to plate.
Two stars is probably being generous here.

My husband, mom, and I went to eat here without checking Unilocal 1^st but we’re pleasantly surprised to find the food was good, price was great, there was a full bar, and just the right amount of noise to give it an «Irish» ambience. I had a chicken taco salad which, once I was able to get through the many large pieces of lettuce, was ok. I didn’t give Miller’s a 4 star because the lettuce overwhelmed the essence of a taco salad. The pieces were so large I had to cut them, and the salad had virtually no dressing making it somewhat tasteless. The taco shell was crisp and tasty. Howver, my husband’s zesty chicken with rice was quite good. Maybe it wasn’t my day, I’ve been on a diet anyway! I would definitely give it another chance.

Happy to say this place ROCKS again. Idk happened but everything was perfect tonight. We had a hard day at work and came here because it was close by… soooo happy everything came out on-​time, non-​greasy and drinks were made perfectly. Marcus, Courtney and Jason rule! They are always friendly, upbeat and get it right! Happy to see my favorite after work spot back in action. Will be back again! With friends! :)

It’s always a hit or miss here over the years.
I’ve had some great meals here but some really bad experiences too with good quality and service. Also some items tend to be not available quite often. It’s one of those places you know there will be something for everyone on the menu.
My son loves lobster night and prime rib night! Good deal for sure. Fish and chips can be great but I’ve found if u ask for extra crispy you will get a better crunch for sure.
