Lee’s Alterations

I got multiple things altered here when I was younger and lived in the area, so when I needed a dress for a wedding I was attending altered I knew just where to go. They are always friendly and very fast. Most importantly they are reasonably priced! I had a dress taken in (including adjusting the elastic) for less than $ 35. Thank you Lees Alterations!

This is the second prom dress that needed alterations (last year we went to another tailor/​seamstress) but we decided to go to Lee’s because it was very close to home and had a few good reviews that recommended their work AND their prices. Well we will DEFINITELY recommend Lee’s to others and use them in the future. We arrived without an appointment and had a «fitting» on the spot. The man (owner/​worker? not really sure) pinned the dress and made sure he was clear on the length and where it was to «sit» compared to the floor. My daughter’s dress needed to be taken up at the bottom (she’s petite at 5’1″ and gowns are generally made for 5’10″ models) [she wanted it to «sweep» the ground while being slightly longer in the back” & it was taken up exactly to where she asked them to pin it], taken up at the shoulders, and taken in from the waist down (the entire length of the gown on both sides). Basically they had to take it from a size 3 to a size 1. They did a fantastic job and it only cost $ 72. The dress was perfect! We were extremely pleased and she looked great (I am going to add a photo). They have regular shop hours (no appointment necessary) and accept credit cards. Lee’s is conveniently located on San Jose Blvd in Mandarin at the corner of Kori Road — at Big Lots/​Bubbles Car Wash/​across from Kmart/​Zaxbys). They also give you a printed receipt with the prices clearly stated (so there are no «surprise» extra costs at pickup) and payment is due at pickup.

The person who wrote the review below mine, MUST be talking about a different alteration place because Lee and his wife do the BEST job with alterating literally everything and anything you need! I have been coming to this place since I was about 6 years old… I am now 22 and still refuse to go anywhere else. They have altered every school uniform since kindergarten, as well as countless casual dresses and skirts, and formal dresses too! Plus, I’ve had several pieces of clothing that I needed altered by the next day and they are always willing to go out of their way to make sure they have it ready for you whenever you need it. They make sure whatever you need alterated is the way you want it, and ask you some deciding factors to help you get the perfect fit with jeans, dresses, skirts, etc. They are even helping my mom reupholster her chairs! Truly two of the sweetest, kindest, hardworking people!
