Ordered the meat shawarma wrap, it was delicious! Great flavor combinations, and fresh ingredients. The pickled beets that came with my husband’s plate were also amazing. Definitely coming back!

Don’t walk, run to this place. The flavors are amazing, the service is impeccable and you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. I’ll be back — often.

It’s a small restaurant off a busy road, but there are about 6 – 7 large tables you can eat at. They offer delivery, carry-out, and catering too. The meat shawarma is my recommendation, with two sides of baba ghanoush and tabbouleh. The meat was spicy and flavorful, the baba ghanoush was creamy, and the tabbouleh had extra crunch with onions.

I spent the better part of a long weekend in JAX just this past weekend and I have to say that as far as a foodie city, it’s definitely on the right track. I’ve had meal after meal going out where ever my family would take me from east to west, north to south both inside and outside the 295 beltway and Karams was the last stop, the last Monday lunch with my cousin and our wives. He had ordered over the phone for pick up and we drove down to grab our lunch just after noon time to bring it home. 2 of us each had the same dishes but everybody had different sides. 2 were chicken shawarma plates and the other 2 were gyro plates. While I love Lebanese cuisine I have had better shawarma back home. This place Karams is still very legit but I found the gyro a bit dry. Perhaps I’m just used to it being much more salty? The fatoush on the side was good. I had asked for tabbouleh and rice so they ended up putting the rice in the large section of the 3 pockets in the take out container. I was able to try the hummus and yogurt salad because my wife left me enough to taste although she pretty much cleaned out her container pretty well. Overall the food was good and good Lebanese is a staple of mine and a nice change from your every day fare you can find anywhere else in town.

eat the fatoosh!!! I love this place. Everything I’ve had is amazing. I always get FATOOSH as both of my sides with falafel. They also have great pita — the thin kind. They’re reasonably priced and the people there are nice. I like supporting them.

This place is awesome. The owners are very friendly and try to get to know their customers. The food is great & authentic. It is not fancy, but a shawerma place is not supposed to be fancy, it’s just supposed to served up tasty meat & they certainly do! If you are looking for good, authentic shawerma this is the place to go and it’s honestly they only place in Jax to go.

This a delightful experience. From the outside, you don’t think you will be getting much. Just a older looking diner with sub-par quick food. BUTYOUAREDEADWRONG! This hidden gem off of University is a must try for any Foodie in the city. The Vegan options are do dye for! They have vegetarian stuffed grape leaves, classic humus, falafels, pickled veggies and salads, and delightful veggie dishes that I can’t pronounce but were exceptionally yummy. Anytime I am craving Middle Eastern Food and I’m short on time, this is a must have! AND they are on the Doorstep Delivery Menu as well. I was thoroughly happy with Karams and I can not wait to go back!

This place was pretty good. Ordered the meat shawarma and the shishkabob wrap with a side of hummus and salad to go. We weren’t disappointed. The meat was tender and their food has so much flavor. We will be coming back :) and the lady at the counter was really nice and gave us 2 baklava for free!

I’m not going to tell you this is the best in Jax because then you’ll all go there and then there will be a line. So I’ll keep the fact that this is world class fare to myself. :)

This is some of the best middle eastern food I’ve ever had, including when I’ve gone to the middle east. The meat and chicken sharwama were excellent and a must try. They are served with onion and some lettuce. It also is served with garlic sauce which is amazing. I always get the hummus and meat grape leaves. The pita bread they serve is very thin and not my favorite. The flavors are all amazing and worth the price.

Wow! I’m so glad I listened to a recommendation from a friend and stopped by for lunch today! I read other reviews on Unilocal, and my friend was gushing about just about every item on the menu. I went for the Chicken Shawarma Plate with a side of Fatoush Salad and Hummus and I was not disappointed at all. This seems like the kind of place where you can order something different each time and be 100% happy with the taste, portion, and presentation. The portions were ginormous, so come hungry, or maybe get less food than I did. Luckily I was starved. Everything tasted fresh and extremely flavorful! I’m slightly upset that I’ve never heard of this place until now, but I’m looking forward to visiting regularly and experiencing the rest of their menu! Bravo Karam’s!

I was first introduced to Karams about 6 years ago. Since then I have dreamed of their Chicken Schwarma wraps and fatoosh salad. An average meal here with 2 sides and a drink is about $ 13. But given the amazing flavors and love they infuse in their food it is well worth the price. The location is small and can get crowded at times and dine-in can be warm as the A/C isn’t be best… if tht is bothers you take your order to go… still worth every penny. You must get the fatoosh as a side or even a meal!

I live about a mile from the location and drove by it at least a million times, but never felt interested. Well now I am definitely interested. Now I have only eaten like three or four items on their menu, but they have been great every time. I first started getting the Meat Shawarma Wrap. Then I moved to the Meat Shawarma Plate, which comes with two sides. I usually get the Fattoush Salad and the hummus. The hummus is one of my favorite side items. They always have great customer service and the food always comes out nice and hot. Karam always takes my taste buds to «Flavortown»! If you are into Mediterranean food, Karams is the place for you.

I probably eat here 1 or 2 times a month. I am hooked on the chicken shawarma and that’s the usually what I order. I like to get the spinach and meat pies, they are great! Everything is super fresh. The service is quick too. So if you want something amazing get the chicken shawarm wrap or plate. The wrap has this amazing garlic sauce and they usually put pickled radishes in it too… it’s the perfect thing all wrapped up. The pita bread is great! The owner told me he gets it shipped in from his family who has a bakery in Miami! Just go here! You won’t regret it!

This is a small restaurant off of University, I wanted to go try this place on the good reviews. I think I got them on an off day. Some of the other reviews were saying the service was so nice, but I got a guy that would not crack a smile for nothing! Anyways I came for the food so… I decided to try the Shish Taouk, which is marinated chicken grilled on skewers, these were delicious! The marinate was flavorful and the chicken juicy, cooked great. With the plate I got to pick two sides I picked Hummus and Fattoush Salad, the Hummus was very creamy and topped with oil and parsley, very good. The Fattoush Salad was large chunks of cucumbers and tomatoes, lettuce, parsley, onion and a light lemony dressing with toasted pita pieces, this was good but not my favorite. I also grabbed some meat, spinach, and spinach and cheese pies to go, these were just ok… very doughy and dry, the cheese and spinach was my favorite. There are quite a lot of Mediterranean /Middle eastern restaurants in Jax and another one already has my heart.

I try places like this as much as possible for this reason — they tend to try harder. Food was really good and service was #1. Never been never seen menu– lady(owner) in dining room asked how I was and if she could help. Long and short — I asked for lunch and got a fantastic plate lunch of chicken rice green beans veggies pita for $ 10 that was enough for 2 meals. Friendly folks turning out really good food — definitely worth visit and looking at trying rest of menu
