My boyfriend and I had the beef brisket hash special and buttermilk pancakes. Good flavor, good ingredients — I considered the portions normal, my boyfriend disagreed due to price vs. size. Great atmosphere, nice artwork, friendly service.

BEAWARE: YOUMAYBEBANNEDIFYOUWRITE A CRITICALREVIEWOFTHISRESTAURANT. I received this message back from the owner of the Honeysuckle Café after I reviewed it. I am not the only person that has reviewed this restaurant and then the owner bans them from entering her restaurant. Good evening, I am sorry about your experience today in my establishment. We are a new business and working out all of our shortcomings… what is clear is you are dissatisfied. We do not expect you back and I am glad you shared with us, but let’s be frank Unilocal is your platform to bully because you believe you have a voice… when really you are hiding behind your words and did not have the balls to say anything to anyone. So carry on with your sad existence and please do not come back. Sincerely, Monique Cox

This place is a gem in the Applegate Valley. The food is delicious, plenty of vegetarian options too. The specials are always imaginative and well executed. Now they’re opening on Friday evenings! The staff are so genuinely friendly and professional I guarantee you’ll enjoy yourself here. A marvellous restaurant.

It’s nice to know that«Professional» restaurateurs know how to handle complaints, here is the reply I got to my post… Subject: Hiding behind your review «Thank you for the gutless criticism. It was all to clear you and your wife had a problem before you dined at our restaurant. To look at a beautiful sourced menu and only order a cinnamon roll screams „I do not want to try anything different“ You are most comfortable with food out of a can, perhaps McDonalds is the type of food you are able to relate to… the skillet does indeed take 25 minutes, and if you were expecting a quick delivery perhaps you should have gone to a fast food drive thru. What is also clear is you were incapable of communicating your grievance, rather you cowardly hide behind a review in hopes of „I got em.“ Well sir you did not and you should probably stick to places like Elmer’s or Denny’s as this is the only type of shitty food your pallet can handle… And please kindly never return.»

My husband and I went to Honeysuckle Café when they first opened. They were still pretty disorganized, and the food had potential, but just didn’t wow us. It also seemed pricey for the area. A few months have passed and we decided to give it another try. That was a good decision because the breakfast was amazing! Homemade bread, fresh ingredients, all at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend these folks for a yummy breakfast with wonderful small town service.

Stopped in and shared lunch with the hubby this weekend. First impression was that it’s a very cute café, clean and polite staff. Owner ran I believe. Just what I would expect in Ruch. We had the BLAT sandwich and a couple of coffees. The sandwich was good, however it wasn’t constructed very well. One bite and the whole thing fell apart. It was impossible to eat in sandwich form after that. The only other complaint was that I’d asked for a side of ranch and never got it, even though the waitress walked past us twice(to serve her sons a burger and milkshake in the booth behind us). May give it a second shot, just because we are local but for the price, may just drive into town.

I have ordered breakfast to go from here two times. Both were fantastic, the potatoes are from a local farm I believe and are delicious, soft, amazing flavor and the eggs were perfectly. I will have to grab lunch soon. The owner is a sweet heart.

This is the latest of several restaurants in this location. The menu is diverse, featuring American, Vietnamese & Mexican dishes. The rancho huevo was very good with a fried egg, red beans, tortillas & avocado garnished with pieces of cheese $ cilantro enhanced with an outstanding sauce. Breakfast is served until 11:30 am then lunch starts. The restaurant has added a takeaway window.

Extremely nice people and very fresh ingredients. I was in Jacksonville for 3 days and I came here twice! Get the Coconut French Toast, it’s fantastic!

I am so happy for this opening. Ruch, needed a good restaurant. I ordered«eggs Benedict » I usually use that as my gauge. Very good. Now for the down side. Waitress needs a lesson on waiting on tables. Very unorganized, too say the least. They, well one gal was too busy visiting with people instead of making sure people were taken care of first. We waited for a long time for coffee and menus. We had a lot of time that day. I wish them luck and will see them again.

Delicious, imaginative, locally sourced. The newly opened Honeysuckle Café(next to the Ruch Country Store, in the former My Way spot) brings outstanding, locally sourced fare to the little wayside business-plex in Ruch in the Applegate wine country, seven miles down the road from historic Jacksonville, Oregon. Imaginative and delicious dishes, and a small and excellent selection of beers on tap are served-up by friendly and attentive staff. The food is reasonably priced and a good value. The inside is clean and comfortable with booths and tables, there is a nice outdoor trellised patio, and plenty of free parking available. We enjoyed a sit down late-lunch and noticed several to-go orders being called-in and picked up. I had a dee-lish bahn mi pork sandwich on fresh house-made bread, and hubby had a flash-fried/hand-rolled tostada with house-made beans and a mole’ that was out-of-of this world good. Both dishes were a departure from the traditional way they are typically made, so keep an open-mind and be delightfully surprised. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food here, apparent in the way it is prepared, presented, and served. It was hard to limit ourselves to the two lunch dishes we chose, and we can hardly wait to return and try out more items from the rest of the enticing menu. They also serve breakfast.

Honeysuckle Café is great food and great service! If I lived in Ruch, it would be my «go-to» café for at least 1 meal a week, if not more! I will definitely make a point to pass through Jacksonville again so I can stop and enjoy breakfast at the café! I love the feel of community there!

It’s awesome to have a great new restaurant in Ruch! We had the pulled pork banh mi, some kind of taco plate, and great beer on tap.
