I have visited HWC a few times and it gets better every time. On this day the main course was the Chicken Burrito. The best chicken burrito I have had east of the Mississippi River. It had chicken, onions, lettuce, and some other stuff I cant remember now except that it took my taste buds to a new level they have not been to with a chicken burrito. I went with the Healthy Way Smoothie that has strawberries, blueberries, mangos, and vanilla protein. It was excellent. Then for dessert I went with a fresh chocolate chip cookie that had just come out of the oven. This was also a best winner for the east coast as the best chocolate chip cookie I have had on this side of the states. I ended getting a second one to take home to enjoy later that evening but it did not last long because it tasted soooo good. This is a great alternative from the fast food row at Town Center. You will spend more then the fast food place but its worth every penny! Cool décor inside too with the trees. They also sell vitamins.

I was so happy when the Healthy Way Café opened amongst the plethora of fast foods that have recently opened at the Super Target meet Wal-Mart intersection. Healthy Way Café advertises itself as the organic fast food alternative. I got this directly from the HWC website: We are proud to announce the first ever all natural and organic, fast casual restaurant franchise, Healthyway Café. After over two years of research and studying organic foods, our team has put together the healthiest restaurant on the planet. Organic foods are pure and clean and have an incredible taste because they are free from pesticides and chemicals. Our menu consists of the finest organic foods available from premium all natural and organic meats to all organic vegetables, breads, soups, juices, teas, smoothies, and ice cream desserts.( ) They are a franchise, but a unique one, so I’m hoping they make it. They do have a lot on the menu. I have tried three things from the menu: 1. The Healthy Way Pack($ 9) — I have to admit, I was sold when I read it contained Wild Salmon. This pack comes in a little box similar to Chinese take-out and is made with salmon, rice, broccoli, carrots, walnuts and ginger dressing! I had to add a touch of salt, but for only $ 9 the portion was great. Also, with all that protein I was too full for dinner! 2. The Healthy Way Wrap($ 8) — I wanted to try this because I loved the Healthy Way Pack. Beware — same name, different products! This wrap which consists of salmon, cucumber, onion, rice, tomato and ranch dressing on a whole wheat tortilla, was kind of dry and the onions were over powering. If I ordered it again, I’d leave out the onions, but that’s just me. 3. Organic Cookie($ 2) — At first I was bummed that it didn’t taste like the cookies I know and love, but then I realized it tasted even better. They also have options on the menu such as Organic Banana Splits and Organic Vanilla Ice Cream. I’d like to try that! This location has a large area for Wi-Fi, so you can just get a smoothie and hang(or read The Folio). Also, you can easily view all their nutritional info on the website(just not kids items). They probably have this available in the store, I just didn’t look. Now, I can’t guarantee that everything is truly organic because it seems little too good to be true, however, everything tasted clean, vibrant, and fresh. A great place for vegetarians, health nuts, and those who want to try something new! According to their website, there are three Jax locations: St Johns Town Center, Hodges and Beach, and an «express» location in South Jax Beach.
