Hamilton Cafe

Hamilton’s Café is a hidden gem for those of us who work in the 95/​Baymeadows area. Located in the Hamilton Building of the Freedom Commerce Center, the husband-​and-​wife-​owned eatery serves up daily specials like Meatball Subs, Chicken Pot Pies and a surprisingly savory Cuban Sandwich. The café is in walking distance from my office so I’ve become a bit of a regular. Today we stopped by for a quick, working lunch and I decided to try the salad bar for the first time. I loaded up on a bevvy of fresh, crispy items like Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, beets, cucumbers, mushrooms and garbanzo beans. To top it off I added a scoop of chicken salad and pasta salad. The salad bar is Pay-​by-​Weight, and this huge concoction tapped out at a whopping $ 5.50. It was delicious, and I even have a little left over. :)

Executive Chef/​Owner Marie Bonifacino and her executive helper/​hubby Tom, whip up made to order deli favorites M-​F for breakfast and lunch. Located in an office building, but don’t be fooled, she makes the best veggie egg white omelet ever.
For lunch there are sandwiches, wraps and a salad bar. Completely affordable and worth checking out for a quick meal during your workday.
