Hagan Ace Hardware

I have recently started shopping at this Ace since it is really close to my new house. I really enjoy the level of customer service I experience at Ace compared to its competitors. I did have a bit of a mix up on a recent trip, I had purchased a non standard color of paint and they were supposed to keep the mix on file. I went back later for a second gallon and they could not find my information. I was able to get the information off the old can and get everything squared away. All the people who helped me were super friendly and kept working with me until we had a solution. Way to go Ace!

Great Nursery, very knowledgeable/​helpful staff. Not as big as Home Depot or Lowes, but they still have a decent selection of most of the stuff you would go to a home improvement store for.

It’s a hit and miss with customer service. Somedays everyone is asking to help you as you walk through the store. Somedays they are busy talking to one another.
Make eye contact with every customer that enters your store! If you do, you will be able to see if they need assistance. You are expensive and we can drive to Walmart if we want to save $$. We come to you because we prefer to have a relationship and good customer service with our local shops. I give you 5 stars only because of one of your managers, Mike Brown. He is personable, helpful and cares… you cannot fake great customer service and he is superb with his customers!

We live in Palm Coast, and Ace had a fabulous sale going this Friday, Saturday and Sunday! I went to my local Ace in Palm Coast 7am this morning this morning & they were sold out of the bird bath, the bleach, the detergent, and the trash bags on the sale! I first asked if I could place a order and they couldn’t. Then I asked for a rain check. They didn’t offer rain checks at the Palm Coast ace. I was so upset because I was so looking forward to this sale, so we decided to drive to the Hogan Ace in Palaka, which only was 30 minutes away! Not only did they all greet us fabulous, they went out of they’re way to help us find all the items we had been looking for! He thought they were out of only the bleach, and automatically suggested a rain check, only until he went out of his way to check inventory a second time, in the back and pulled them out and re stocked the shelves we were on our way with everything we wanted! Excellent service great store, fabulous staff. I will make the drive to return to the store for sure!

It’s a hardware store with a lot of things and they are really nice.

This is the closest hardware store to the durbin area so if you need anything, they almost know you are going to go there.
With that said, they are wonderful and very helpful. Having worked at an ace in Davis, CA, I know how much of an emphasis they place on customer service.
The options however are limited and priced higher. Like I said, they know you have to drive further and so you pay for that.
3 stars simply because we were promised a call back regarding how their fence installation works and the call never came. Cardinal rule, follow up!
My husband shops there enough to have become a regular in the short month we have been Jax residents.
So go to ace for the nice folks who are helpful and knowledgable, pay a bit more for the convenience :)

I will not shop elsewhere for anything that I can get at Hagan Ace Hardware. They went beyond expectations when re-​keying all of the locks in my house, and re-​assembling the handleset that I brought in about 8 pieces. Great customer service!

Great hardware store for Julington Creek locals. Large selection of anything you might need and a huge nursery. I like the personal service of someone greeting me as I come in to ask how they can help.
Big shout out to Larry for going the extra mile and staying a few minutes late to customize a tool for my wife even though she came in just 15 minutes before closing. We were in the middle of moving and would have wasted another 2 hours without his assistance. That said the reason no 5 star rating is due to Byron saying «Nope, sorry we’re closing.». Larry saved not only my opinion of this store but also will have me coming back in the future.

By far the best ACE in jax. large nursey,.very helpful staff, never search for assistance… sometimes has great clearance deals. Overall pricing is 10−20% higher than big box, BUT when you need something odd,.they usually have it!!!
