Florida Home Air Conditioning

Florida Home has sold me a unit with only half of the freon in it and wanted to charge me to replace it!!! The unit was trash and had to get it replaced and now I’m stuck with another piece of garbage. It leaking water, my carpet is soaking wet and I can’t get anyone to come out until Monday. Never again!

Pan really knows his stuff! He quickly located a loose fitting and had the system charged back up in no time flat.

Called them in the morning to get our ac fixed and they were able to get someone to come in less than 2 hrs. They fixed our ac very quick .the technician was very knowledgeable and charged us fair! Will Highly recommend to my friends md family

Justin C. and his colleague did a fantastic job removing my old duct work and installing (and hanging) new ducts. They were polite and friendly, worked quickly, let us know when they were taking a break, and cleaned up after themselves VERY well. We were impressed with both how they strung up the duct work in the attic, as well as the time they took to sweep the garage and ensure they left nothing behind. We will definitely call them for our AC needs in the future.

My AC broke. Called 2 other places and couldn’t be seen the same day. Not only did they come within 2 hours of my request, it was quick, easy and efficient. The technician explained what was wrong and was friendly even though I was late. Price was reasonable. I would recommend and use again.

UPDATE 12÷3÷14:
Florida Home reviewed my case and found that there was an issue with their installation that left a breach for the duct work to be destroyed. Therefore, they decided to reimburse me for the $ 680 it took to resolve the issue with another provider. My hats off to FH for doing the right thing!
UPDATE ¹¹⁄₂₀₁₄:
During my bathroom remodel in October it was discovered that all the duct work was soaked and rotting from the HVAC installation issue (gap from house to the unit where breach exposed duct work). All the duct work needed to be replaced and I was invoiced $ 680 for this work. I have reached out to Florida Home (Taylor Miller) for them to pay this bill as their faulty installation caused the issue, and I have 2 years worth of emails/​photos and 3 botched «repairs» for the issue. I hope Florida Home does the right thing and pays for this otherwise I’ll be forced to sue them. I’ll update when I have a resolution.
Missed appointments and not getting back to the customer are the trademark of this company — they installed my unit ($ 4800) and just 2 years and 2 months later I need a $ 400+ repair (labor is now not covered — parts only). Nice enough management team, I just think they don’t have a tight grip on scheduling/​estimating/​customer service level agreements. Also, I’ve had an external installation related repair to the unit since it was installed that they have «fixed» 3 separate times and now 2+ years later the same issue is still there. Disappointing and time consuming for me as a full-​time single working mom.

James B was on-​time, professional and a straight shooter. He knew what to look for and explained everything to my satisfaction. He was generally a very pleasant person with a good attitude.
