This is a very confusing business and setup. First off by all appearances and online presence you would think that this is all one company. But when you all the phone number, they quickly(and not politely) inform you that its too different entities. I transferred my prescription over the EMed Pharmacy last month, mainly because the location is so close to work and home. I was actually happy with the whole process to get my prescription transferred. All they needed was some personal information, my old pharmacy and meds I was needing and they pharmacy took care of the rest. I was able to pick up my prescription later that afternoon. I wish the whole process was seamless as getting into their system. This month was a totally different experience. I found out that they don’t do automatic refills on prescriptions. Which means every month you have to call in the refill. Also the pharmacy is closed on weekends. And the phone number listed on their website, only links to the Walk-In Clinic, so when you call the number instead of transferring you to the pharmacy, they give you a second number to call. However, the people in the actual pharmacy are helpful, fast and polite. I was able to call in my prescription and pick it up within a couple of hours. The pharmacy, is always clean which is huge plus. Overall I’m undecided if I will return back next month. I like the convenience of CVS and Walgreens ie the automatic refills, and hours. But the location of the of this pharamcy is perfect. And once you do get connected to the correct department, they are friendly an helpful. It’s too bad the practices aren’t streamlined and the customer service is lacking in the other departments.

My mother just had a total hip replacement 7⁄21. Her prescription was written wrong(by your office staff) so she ran out of pain meds 8 days early. She called the office 7⁄27 and they had her come to the office. Wrote her a new medicine prescription yesterday. After going to 5 different pharmacy’s we could not get the medicine. She calls them again today and was told to come back in today to figure something out(and collect another co-pay). When she gets there she is in extreme pain. She calls me upset because they wanted another co=pay. I called the office and asked to speak to someone in the Pain Management dept. I explained to the operator that my mom is less than a week out of total hip replacement and shouldn’t be out at the doctors office 2 days in a row while being out of medicine. I explained she was currently at the office and can’t afford 2 co-pays in 2 days while being out of work. The operator put me on hold and then a gentleman(1 of the doctors) came on the phone and accused me of cursing his office staff out. From this point I had been nothing but polite and professional with the operator(I was currently at work with my supervisor sitting in the same room with me. I seriously thought he may have picked up the wrong line. He continued to ask me why I was cursing at her. I explained I never said anything rude or impolite to her. I had only asked her about the excessive co-pays with no remedy. He then refused to see my mother(who is his patient) until I write an apology to his office staff for something I didn’t do and will not apologize for. My mother will be seeking real«pain management» doctors who will write the order correctly the 1st time and not refuse someone obviously in pain services because their office staff didn’t want to answer a question so chose to lie and say I was rude or disrespectful. To which I wasn’t to neither the operator or Doctor.
