I come here every time I’m in Jacksonville. Awesome selection of craft beers and specialty cocktails. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve been here late night for live music and also early on Sunday’s for NFL games and it never disappoints. The food is way way better than your average sports bar and offers a better ambiance then any of the bars around this area. Plus with a foosball table and large jenga set you really can’t go wrong. My recommendation would be to try the different sliders and order one of the regional flights of beers.

This bar is by far the nicest place to grab a drink in jacksonville. The place is beautiful and spacious. There are big screen TVs lining the bar. Their selection of beers in tap is constantly changing and never fail to impress. Their beer flight are cheap and sooo delicious. Above all this though, is their food. All the portions are large and taste so fresh. I am a native in jax and a regular at copper. I absolutely recommend it.

We loved our first visit here, we were both surprised it was so un-busy. We walked right in and just about had our choice of any seat in the house, it did fill up a ;little more as the night went on(to about 50%) My wife had the SoCal Fajita and loved it I had the San Diego Burrito and found it to be delicious. Our server was Molly and she was very helpful attentive and friendly. We will definitely return soon and try some other items from the menu.

This review is based on the drinks and outside seating area… The drinks here are very reasonably priced and the have a decent selection of beers… My beer was only $ 3… The wifey opted for one of their specials on liquor… She got a $ 3 shot of Fireball… We chose to sit outside because they had a large crowd inside playing a trivia game… Our server was very nice and attentive, he kept coming outside to check on us and brought our drinks as quickly as we ordered…

We went on a Sunday. It wasn’t as packed as we thought it would be. My husband and I both got different regions of samplers. It’s actually a pretty good deal. The beers were pretty good and different. We each had three different tacos. Sriracha shrimp: no Bueno. They doused it in sriracha so that’s all you taste. I’m Asian so I grew up on sriracha. We use it sparingly, like ketchup. We don’t cook our meal drenched in ketchup so this makes no sense at all. It tasted bad. Salty, spicy and tangy. Imagine drinking sriracha sauce alone. The huevos one with the egg was alright. A little too salty for me, but at least it was flavorful. The other one I had was beef. It was not memorable. Bland, flank steak or something. Our waiter was attentive. We had churros for dessert. It was pretty good churros. We’d definitely go back for more beer flights and maybe order an actual entrée this time.

First visit and I’ll definitely come back! The frickles(fried pickles) were delicious. Had street tacos that were yummy and $ 8 for a flight with 6 choices. Awesome prices, great service, and fantastic food. Wrapped up our meal with a piece of cheesecake with caramel drizzle.

Sunday brunch was fabulous — best Chicken and Waffles I’ve ever had — perfect crisp to both components, strawberry butter on the side a great accompaniment along with spicy syrup. Bloody Mary bar a winner! Bartender(Erica) very efficient and friendly!

My husband got the blackened chicken nachos and everything was fresh on them. They were AWESOME! My daughter got the cheeseburger quesadilla which at first sounds weird but was fantastic and very large! I got the blackened chicken mac n cheese and it tasted good but for the $ 13 price tag of it they really need to either lower it to $ 9 or give a bigger portion. A toddler could have eaten that. I will be back but I will stay away from the blackened Mac n cheese.

I’m reviewing the bar/outside area, not the food. Came here with some friends to have a few drinks. We opted to sit outside since they had something going on inside(trivia, I think) and it was really loud. Also because we wanted to be able to smoke. They have a really good beer list and hubby was able to find one he liked for only $ 3. They also had several $ 3 specials on some liquors. I opted to go with the shots of Fireball that were only $ 3 each. I wanted to get my buzz on quick! :D The shots didn’t come in standard shots glasses, they they were more like double shots. Not bad for $ 3 each. Even though they were extremely busy, I server was very attentive. He was constantly coming out to the patio area to see if we needed anything. Really excellent service. They also had a cornhole game set up on the patio and the hubby and another friend had a good time playing that for a while. Another friend who showed up later did decide to order food and he got a variety of sliders. He said they were pretty good. Since he gave the food a thumbs up, I wouldn’t mind returning another time to try their food. When I find myself in this area of town again and am wanting to have a couple of drinks, I’d definitely return.

My wife purchased a double take deal a while back for this place so we were pretty excited to finally cash it in.(Ever had one of those expire on you?!) We came on a whim on a Wednesday night after a meeting near the beaches. So glad we did! We opted for the outdoor seating as Wednesday is trivia night and the inside loud and packed. We were the only table top outside so we got great service. We correctly selected The Texan Burrito. It certainly lived up to its name. It was stuffed with veggie, steak, chicken and shrimp. This was big enough to split. I was quite impressed as every bite had large pieces of shrimp. So pleased with the selection. Looking through the rest of the menu I’m sure everything else is great too. After all the restaurant was packed and that speaks for itself. Next time we’re near the beaches this restaurant will certain be a contender!

Bar and Games — 5 stars Food — 3 stars(outside of Sunday Brunch) I came here because I was told great things about the brunch menu. I was mistaken to believe that brunch was on Saturday and Sunday. I walk in and almost immediately have a small heart attack — giant Jenga game just toppled over and caused everyone to jump. We ask the server to seat us in an area away from the noise. She places us at the booth RIGHT besides the Jenga game? Once we are seated the people playing go back to the bar, so I was assuming the server new better than we did. I was a little disappoint by the menu being so small. — large print but not many options. Especially few vegetarian or seafood items outside of fried cod. I had planned on getting a breakfast sandwich and asking if their was a vegetarian alternative to the bacon. But as soon as we say our orders she lets us know Brunch is Sunday only :-(. I’ll never make a Sunday brunch. I order the cod sliders with friends and take in the bar. Beautiful addition to the area. I love the richness in the bar. When the food arrives I;m a little blow away by the size and weight. Tray was noticeably heavy. My cod fillet was almost twice the size of the bun. It’s cooked beautifully and well seasoned. But when I deconstruct my slider — there’s really no other way I’m be able to eat it and stay clean — the coleslaw stated in the menu was just shared cabbage. The other side of the slider was tarter sauce. My friend has red meat galore and was extremely happy with her sliders. After putting a decent in the thick cut fries and finishing 1 slider I was too full for the other. Take it home and it somehow tastes much better hours later. I’m not sure I’m come for the food specifically but this would be a great spot for happy hour or after work drinks. If I ever make it out for Brunch, I might update.

Copper! You sort of blew me away! My husband and I stopped in last night for a late dinner. I had purchased a $ 10 for $ 20 deal a while back and we were in the area, so decided to use it. Trivia was happening inside and the music played in between questions was pretty loud, so we opted for the outdoor patio seating. They offered $ 3 drink specials all night — their house Copper Tap draft beer, Captain Morgan and Fireball. We both ordered a Captain and ginger ale. I was regretful when I later looked at the drink menu: they make hand crafted cocktails that sound right up my alley! «Organic Pear Jalepeno Margarita,» «The Spicy Watermelon»…do ya sense a pattern here? We opted to share The Texan Burrito: a [giant] «flour tortilla rolled and stuffed with steak, shrimp, chicken, peppers, onions, tomatoes, black beans, sour cream, guacamole and shredded cheese. Topped with queso.» It was incredible! It truly was plenty to share and was loaded with everything above, including perfectly cooked shrimp and huge chunks of veggies. And doused in creamy white queso. Ahh. Being a crazy cheese head, I commented to my husband that I was«in hog heaven.» The burrito really was killer and sadly trumped the burrito we shared last week at Lola’s in Riverside, whose namesake is «burrito joint.» :/ Although it’s a decent drive for us, this will not be our last visit to Copper! I want to try those drinks and I WILL order that burrito again.

Copper is one of those quite decent restaurants where when I find myself there, I enjoy myself, but I never really worry about seeking it out. The food is excellent, and really quite perfect for a group of people with varying hunger and/or money levels because you can buy a huge entrée or a single slider(or more sliders, if it turns out you’re hungrier than you thought!). I usually end up with a slider or three so that I can have a lot of different things, but the husband will get some giant crazy thing, like a cheeseburger quesadilla, that is weird but tasty. But I do have to say, entrees be darned, the«frickles» appetizer is the best thing on the menu. Perfectly fried skinny pickles with a zesty ranchy dip? I’m in. The downside to Copper is really the acoustics. If it’s packed when you go, and since my last two times there were for trivia it’s been super packed, the noise levels go way up and it’s difficult to hear the person two seats away from you. If you’re like me and you can barely keep up with the six-person conversation at your own table, you might find yourself curling up into a ball when the conversations at the tables around you start sneaking in, too. I definitely recommend going at a quieter time just so you don’t have to shout at your dinner companion!

Sometimes you wanna go. Where everyone knows your name! My go to bar. My home away from home. That’s what I was trying to do with copper — unfortunately their wait staff seems to have high turnover and I’m not as big a beer hound as I aspire to be, but enough about me. This place has a lot going for it. Decent food, nice atmosphere(with a penny topped bar!) and a regularly rotating tap with beers from all over the U.S. Get the regional sampler or call an über and go nationwide.

Neat concept and bar/restaurant. A little on the pricey side. Spent 50 bucks here on my tab in one night eating 3 sliders and having 3 – 4 beers. Service was great, and the décor is done well. I had the Buffalo Chicken Slider, Chorizo con Huevos, and the Pollo Diablo sliders. The buffalo chicken was just what you’d expect. Nothing special, but certainly not bad. The Chorizo con Huevos and the Pollo Diablo were by far my fav with the Chorizo con Huevos coming out in front between all 3. The chicken on both sliders was cooked phenomenal. Breading was perfect the chicken was soft and very moist. So good. I really wanted to the San Diego Burrito, but was not hungry enough to tackle that. I will be back again and certainly come hungry for the San Diego Burrito.

The lamb slider and the salad are my favorite combo. The homemade balsamic dressing is my favorite. The staff is always nice and friendly. I love the beer samplers. I’m from Texas and it’s so cool that they have the samplers with the different states! The lunch specials are very reasonably priced! I will be going back!

Derrick recommended loaded fries and the surf and turf slider — all 3 are amazing(that includes Derrick!) He also recommended Big Top Trapeze Monk beer from Sarasota Florida(one of their craft beers) since i like Belgian beer and it’s very smooth, not overpowering my food! Nice place to chill… The only thing that would make it better is if a nice handsome man would come up and start talking to me but most people are here with their group but at least there is a TV to watch and a bartender to talk to.
