My son took guitar lessons from Kent years ago. I take my gouts here for maintenance. Chip is one of the coolest and nicest guys you’ll meet. Knows music. Knows instruments. Great service. Has never given me bad advice.

I have been bringing my guitars to Chip for over 15 years, and he always does outstanding work and goes the extra mile to make sure you get your gear back in the best possible condition. I made the mistake of going somewhere else once and was sorely disappointed with the work… I immediately brought that axe to Chip and he straightened it out tout de suite! I wouldn’t trust my guitars with anyone else. Fair prices for quality work, can’t beat it.

I recently brought in my old 70’s-era Guild tube amp to be serviced at Chip’s, as they seemed like the most solid option in town (tube amp repair isn’t a particularly common specialty). Chip was extremely friendly and his amp techs repaired the amp for a fair rate and a fairly quick turnaround (couple of weeks). No complaints here.
I’d always rather entrust my equipment to someone who runs their own shop and has a good reputation rather than up the road to Guitar Center or whatever, so if anything happens to my gear in the future, Chip’s is the place for me.
