Champion Cycling and Fitness

I just got back from Champion Cycle/​Fitness and was very impressed. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted by friendly staff. They were not pushy or condescending. I cycle quite often for fitness and recreation. I needed a replacement tube and a patch kit. Within 30 seconds, just what I needed was at the checkout counter. The «bike shop guy» was nice to chat with and the price on the tube/​patch kit was $ 10 combined. That’s less than the cost of large internet bike shops.
I was very impressed with the service, knowledge and price. Really can’t complain at all. I’ll be stopping in from now on for any of my cycling needs!

Short version– Champion is the champion, my friends.
James the bike salesman is one of the most helpful I’ve ever met. We’re not real bikey folks, but James answered all of our questions– however inane they may’ve seemed. He did so honestly, calmly, and completely. My husband test drove 2 of their full price bikes, and was giving over his info to be called when a mid model came back in stock when we suddenly noticed the used section. There we saw the beaut he ended up buying. To James’ credit, hedid also not get visibly upset when we found the much cheaper but more our style vehicle, which is nice. I hate feeling pressured by salespersons!
On top of this, he switched out the tires on our chosen bike from mountain to road hybrid for FREE, installed a light set and tire rack for FREE. No labor charge from this gentleman (we still paid for parts– the rack and the set, of course). Even better, he gave us an even sweeter deal when asked (since we’re veterans, or because that bike had been sitting a while, or because of both? Not sure, but hey– money is money!)
Worth stopping by, no matter what you’re looking for bicycle wise. If it’s not there– they can order it or suggest an alternative for sure.
