This is a wonderful park and a must-see. I have always been fascinated by our many beautiful bridges here in Jacksonville. At this park, you will find a replica of all of our bridges. The detail they put into each bridge is amazing; each bridge is even painted its proper colour. 17 years ago, I moved to Jacksonville from a very small town and this city was overwhelming for me. The day I moved here, a friend told me, «Learn the names and colours of all the bridges and which area of town they each lead to and from. That’s the easiest way to learn to get around.» She was definitely right. Every time I come here, I think of that wise advice she gave me so many years ago. Not only can we who live here really appreciate this park, but I know even those from out of town who aren’t familiar with our many bridges will love this small replicas. Each and every one is a true work of art. If you’re visiting Jacksonville, try to take the time to make a visit to this park. You won’t be disappointed. If you live in jacksonville and have never been here, what in the world are you waiting for?! GO! =)

My parents were in for a visit, and they are both cancer survivors. I thought where better to take them than this park? The bridges and statue installments were lovely, but everything else needed some help. There were empty soda bottles, stagnant water, weeds… I don’t know who maintains this park, but it’s kind of a slap in the face to survivors to leave what was intended to be a healing space for them in such a state. I hope there is some improvement to come… :(
