I was asked to message my number so I could be contacted and later that day received a call from the general manager. He was super apologetic and assured me he and BG take dietary restrictions seriously. I know accidents happen and this was probably an off night for them for whatever reason but I do appreciate him taking the time to call and apologize and to offer to pay for my next meal. I love BG for having vegan options so hopefully this was just a one time thing, like I’ve said the food is good when all goes according to plan.

Chorizo tacos are the way to go. Don’t forget to spice them up with some jalapeño. Use the green salsa at the salsa bar or Cholula. It’s rockin!

Holy cow that’s a big burrito!!! First time here and it won’t be my last! Ordered a large chicken burrito and when I say large, it can feed a couple of people! The flavors pop in your mouth at each bite. Pleasant atmosphere. Perfect for friends, family and a quick bite. Staff friendly and courteous.

Don’t really know what happened to this hot spot of mine. Been going since the joint opened over 10 years ago. I moved out of Jax then on a recent visit stopped by for a couple quick tacos. Maybe they were under staffed? I was 1 of 5 people in line… took me 40 mins to get 2 soft tacos. 1 chicken, 1 carnitas. Maybe something else was in the works but I would think those are hot items and would be semi prepped for the lunch hour. I was there at 12:30. And the tacos weren’t anything to write home about.

This is my go to place for eating before or after concerts at the Florida Theater. Again I had the cajun shrimp and cajun fish tacos along with a chicken taco. They are a tiny bit pricey however they are soooo fresh !!! The shrimp and the fish are tender and juicy and a bit spicy. They put some kind of semi spicy creamy sauce that pulls it all together. Overall a great place with very simple and fresh food.

Be VERY leary of this Establishment… They Charge Your Credit Card Twice and then Ignore You when You Call to Get a Reverse Charge on Your Card. Fraudulent!!! I will Handle it with My Bank Now…

In town for a conference and looking for a decent place to eat and I have to concur with others — the food was great, service was quick and reasonably priced. Sit down table service is outside though, if you are looking to be served. There are some fans but can be a bust dependent on the weather. I had the beef barbacoa tacos and they were on point. Recommend giving it a go!

the food was good, and the place was large, but everyone working had an odd attitude. When we ordered food they seemed inconvenienced. A local told us that as long as we order drinks we can sit in the back tables(we had already ordered our food from the counter). WE did so, and the bartender almost couldn’t be bothered. Since the food was good we mentioned to the waitress out back we may be interesting in ordering more. We never saw her again. The good food did not make up for the weird treatment. I hope other local places are flourishing because the location is definitely up and coming.

Sat for 10 minutes. Nobody acknowledged us. Walked to the front, told the girl we were going to sit at the bar and eat. Walked to the back bar. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes. People were sitting there drinking, so I know it was open and they were being served. Nobody came. I looked at the outside bar. Yep. People were drinking and eating. Sat there. Decided to leave because we were hungry and thirsty and nobody came to serve us, so we went down the street and ate and drank elsewhere!

I’ve heard many things said of Burrito Gallery. However, when entering a place for the first time, I try to leave expectations at the door. From the moment we walked in, I felt instantly confused. Apparently, the menu was taken down due to the expansion of the menu. Customers were in line and I had to flag down a menu, which was easier said than done. Only two tangible menus were present. There was only one cashier and although he was extremely friendly and personable, there should have been multiple attendants. I wanted to order a beer at the counter but apparently you can only do that at the bar, which I was told to not bring my food to, so I opted out of spending more money. Finally, the food came out. Fortunately, the Carnitas Torta that I was recommended was very good. The carnitas pulled apart generously. The avocado was creamy, and I loved the addition of pickled red onions. All that was missing was a sour cream type of sauce to bind it all together. My girlfriend’s food took a while. So long that I finished my meal before she even received hers. Isn’t she a doll for allowing me to eat when famished? But seriously, tacos shouldn’t take 25 minutes. In turn, the décor inside is kind of run down. I’m not sure soda boxes are supposed to be on the floor of a restaurant. They should be in the back of house. With a few tweeks, I really think this place could be a home run.

I’m not a big fan of burrito gallery it’s a little pricey for the value of the food and doesn’t really have a lot of flavor. But the food is always made right and is served hot. Their guac is delicious though.

This place has created a problem at my office: it’s called«Taco Tuesday» not«Burrito Tuesday» for a reason. Ever since we came here for lunch several weeks ago, these crazies have tried to move our Taco Tuesday lunches here. No – I will not stand for this blasphemy. That being said(and I’ll never admit saying this), if they revolted and started coming here without my assent, I’d be okay with it. :) The food is always on point – I mean, they have a cajun shrimp(or fish) burrito that is just spicy enough to wake up an elephant before the shear size of the behemoth creates a choking hazard. They also have tacos but, just like the Tuesday constitutional of ours, they’re called«Burrito Gallery» not«Taco Gallery” – don’t cross the streams.(By the way, if you get that reference you are both old like me and just as cool.) Oh, and also by the way, if you come here after work, the bar scene is equally top notch.

The shrimp tacos are the best. I wish they would put s little more stuffing and shrimp in them like another Taco establishment does but they don’t. The shrimp are grilled and have a great taste to them. I always get the corn chips a side. The drinks here are pretty decent. I had the peach margarita. Refreshing.

Chipolt-who? Burrito Gallery is fresh, original, and delicious. We were heading out of Jacksonville and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat but something we couldn’t get at home. Burrito Gallery was a great find and perfect for what we needed. It’s the kind of place you walk in and order/pay at the counter then they bring it to you. I did see a sign for a patio out back that had table service which is great if you’re looking for a slower paced meal. It was really busy but the wait was not long at all. I got a Chorizo Burrito w/chips and my partner got the Chicken Curry w/a side of coleslaw. Everything was delicious! They had a hot sauce bar with many different flavors which I liked because, options. I grabbed a bottle of what I assume is house made hot sauce. It was spicy and very flavorful. I would definitely recommend Burrito Gallery if you’re looking for a quick awesome bite.

Went there for lunch today with some coworkers. I was looking fwd to the Mahi and Cajun fish taco. I should have picked the line with the lady taking orders rather than the guy on the phone taking orders. As I watched 5 people get their orders the guy was still on the phone and never even acknowledged me with a «I’ll be right with you». I waited and finally he got the long order down and I was ready to order only to have the phone ring again and he picks it up again and as we make eye contact he discovers my displeasure. Needless to say I got my order taken but I had lost my appetite for the burrito gallery.

STOP. Whatever you were going to order, forget about it. Get the Cajun shrimp tacos. Not the burrito – the taco. I was thinking burrito because of the name of the restaurant – nope, get the tacos. And get one for each of your compadres. Tell them that you will spot them but don’t worry because they will return the favor wanting more themselves. They’re that good. I would rank them on par with what you can find in San Diego. Cajun fish is also pretty good. What makes this place special is their chimichurri and aioli combination over succulent blackened shrimp/fish. And it is worth every penny($ 4.23 after tax) because they are very generous with the amount of shrimp they give you(the opposite of which is the very reason I avoid shrimp dishes) Everything else is mediocre, so save yourself the disappointment and get these tacos. I prefer the slaw over chips. Chips were stale. Slaw is a little sweet and somewhere between a vinaigrette slaw and a creamy slaw. Service is also really fast. Turnaround time from placing to receiving an order is within 3 minutes with a line out the door. Tables clear out quickly even if they’re completely filled when you walk in Now I’m jealous because you are about to devour some of the best tacos in your life and I’m hundreds of miles away from having them ever again. If you think you should get more before you leave, do it. I did it #NoRegrets

BURRITOGALLERYISWHEREIT’S AT! Wow. This place puts Chipotle and Moe’s to shame. I have no idea what made my quesadilla so wonderful, but it was exquisite. For a reasonable price, you can get a hearty meal that tastes delicious. There is outdoor seating so you can enjoy the ambiance of downtown Jax. There was a bit of a wait time but my food was so good that I don’t even mind!

Burrito Gallery is probably one of my favorite fast-Mex places in the area. Their cajun shrimp is delicious: well seasoned and well cooked. I’ve tried a burrito as well as their tacos, and although they aren’t your traditional Mexcian street taco, they are yummy! The curry chicken was good but not as delicious as the shrimp. The energy is nice and the service has always been prompt and fast. I will be back to try their quesadilla because it looked absolutely awesome!
