I’ve been to this location quite a few times and I’ve always received friendly service. I love the cheddar bo biscuits and the sweet tea is very good. The home style chicken tenders are really good as well.

As a devout Bojanglican tonight’s meal was good, but did not reach the beatific highlights of maximum potential Bojanglification. The chicken had the right bite of cajun heat, and the skin was a crispy artery clogging delight, but neither quite reached the heights I’ve come to expect from the best of this southern-fried-with-a-cajun-twist Charlotte based chicken chain. Yes«chain», o gastronomically holy ones. Replacing an older, smaller Marine Blvd. location perhaps more than 2 years ago, this location still has a shiny new feel to it. Sparkling clean throughout, and on this as on other visits to this store, a friendly, polite staff. Customers ahead of me were good naturedly reciting errors and omissions in 3 previous orders and reminding the manager they remained regular customers, but he didn’t answer the obvious invitation for some compensation for those prior errors — a mistake if you want folks to remain regular customers. My smaller order was correct all respects, but the sweet tea just not quite the usual perfect strength, and the chicken just a little dryer than their very best. As virtually always, the Bojangles biscuit was a light, fluffy exemplar of the species for which many diners at finer would uhh. .. pine-r(?) if they knew what they were missing while eating the heavy lump of dough that passes for biscuits at «better» places. All in all it was not the very best of Bojay’s tonight, but overall I remain a fan. At their best it’s not only the best chain chicken, biscuits, and sweet tea around, but again — at their best, it’s equal or superior to any other purveyor’s fried chicken or biscuits regardless of price or whether the chickens were personally choked by Gordon Ramsay.
