Stopped by for a quick cup of coffee and a chai tea latte. Nothing was quick about this experience. I waited with my coffee for about 15 minutes before the chai tea latte came out. The line was very long and everyone seemed a little annoyed. This was unfortunate because the employees seemed well trained and the ambiance was pleasant. There were no sleeves for the small coffee cups so I somehow had to wrap my coffee with a medium sleeve and pinch it in the hopes of not burning my self or spilling my coffee. Not sure I’ll be back

I wasn’t a huge caffeine drinker before moving to Jacksonville 3 years ago, but I’m hooked on espresso now thanks to Bold Bean. If you’re looking for the highest quality and coffee done right in Jacksonville, X marks the spot at any of Bold Bean’s locations. Their drinks will defiantly give you the caffeine high! Huge perk that they offer almond milk and different HOMEMADE flavor syrups, like curry and ginger. Bold Bean used to do a syrup of a month, but I haven’t seen much of it lately. Would love for them to bring this back. There really is no reason to go anywhere else if you’re looking for a coffee beverage.

I drive 20 minutes to the beach to come here for coffee on the weekends. Their coffee is truly top of the line and their baristas are all amazing at making cappuccinos, macchiatos and even their iced coffees are delightful(and I enjoy my coffee black). I had a friend who is a bit of a coffee snob come visit from Manhattan, and he would go nowhere else for coffee in the morning. Thank you Bold Bean! Try coming in the late afternoon to get some work done with a coffee, and transition to their craft beers on draft.

The reason why I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is simply due to size. I like a coffee shop to have enough tables and room to get work done while I have my coffee. Their latte was delicious and the people were nice. Good coffee though!

Very fast and friendly service. Coffee was very fresh, hot and delicious. The place even has quite a few beers on tap. Great alternative to the big coffee chains at good prices.

Whenever I visit a coffee shop, I order a 6oz cappuccino. Considering it’s a pretty even distribution of espresso and steamed milk, this drink is a logical choice for testing a barista’s skills. And at this point, I’ve been testing Bold Bean’s staff multiple times a week for over a year and they never disappoint.(Yes, I might have a caffeine problem.) Aside from their skills with espresso, pour overs, and such, the folks at Bold Bean Jax Beach are wildly nice. They are quick to recognize and welcome regulars as well as provide guidance and suggestions to folks not so sure of their drink choice. The staff loves coffee and beer, but in a manner that’s approachable and not elitist. This isn’t your everyday single origin hipster café. Finally, the atmosphere is a great mash up of minimalist style and beach couture. The décor features subway tiles paired with the textures of white wood panels and exposed concrete floors. There’s bar seating as well as smaller café tables. It’s a cozy environment perfect for working remotely, grabbing coffee with friends, or reading a good book. Trust me; I’ve done all three.

We loved that place. We went twice during our trip. It’s quiet, cosy and nicely decorated. The pastries are very good, we tried chocolate cookie and chocolate croissant. The prices are good. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I met some friend for lunch in Jax Beach, and on my way home decided to stop by Bold Bean for an afternoon treat, since I don’t often get out the the beaches and I had heard great things about Bold Bean. I was not disappointed! I’ll be back, and hopefully soon. I ordered the Chai tea latte, and it was soooo yummy. Service was friendly and prompt. The place is clean, and very bright, the décor simple and crisp. Modern. Very inviting. The place is small inside, and I can see where it might get very crowded especially in the morning, but there are several tables outside and a few inside. My only frustration, and it was a small one, barely worth mentioning because Bold Bean has no control over it, was the parking lot. Even in the middle of the afternoon(around 2:30) it was packed, and kind of a pain to get around in — parking was tight. But then again, welcome to the beaches… Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Cleanliness/Décor: 5 Stars

Great coffee and friendly people. As a bonus, they also serve beer. While the food is limited, it’s definitely a step above the normal fare you’d find at a Starbucks. With Lillie’s now gone, there’s not too many places you can go, so hopefully this one’ll stick around for the long haul.

I would drive all the way to Jacksonville just to hit up this spot again.(And visit my dear old brother, of course.) I’d heard many wonderful tales of Bold Bean before having ventured there myself, and I must say, I was very pleased. The vibe of the place is very bright and clean but still gave you a little sense of «I could spend some hours here, getting work done or reading a book with the beachy chill view.» I ordered an iced Americano, and because I was feeling a little festive, I added a pump of one of their seasonal syrups: banana cinnamon. It was really different but very yum. The espresso was rich, not acidic tasting at all. The syrup was light and just added a hit of cinnamon flavor. Next time, I want to try an iced latte or cold brew.(All about those iced bevs, ya know?!?) The bros working were extremely kind and helpful and seemed passionate about the coffee life! Looking forward to my next visit!

As a lover of coffee, this was a great place! Service: 5⁄5 The baristas were very friendly and helpful. They actually recommended their favorites, which I took, and I didn’t regret it at all. Price: 4⁄5 Average prices for great coffee Food/drink: 5⁄5 I had the(don’t judge me) curry latte(hot) and it was amazing! The curry was really subtle but you could definitely taste the spice. I would really recommend it!

Still a 100% 5-star joint. One of the staff here is so personable and friendly that he remembered when I was in the shop from a year and a half ago via a short conversation we had. We met once. Incredible people here. Everyone is nice and just loves the coffee culture. The coffee is still out of control great. I went in a few times while visiting Jacksonville for the week. I mostly stuck to the salamica pour over which was super good. I had a few espressos and a chai too. Everything was perfect. Incredible that there is a coffee shop in Jax beach that rivals the coffee shops where I live/go regularly around LA. I live this place and hope it’s here forever!

What an awesome coffee shop. Came here yesterday to take a break from shopping. There was a longish line but it moved quickly. I had the honey latte. My son and his girlfriend had iced coffees and a couple of pastries. Staff was wonderful. Coffeehouse was very clean. I was surprised at how inexpensive our order was. Will definitely be coming back with my wife. A very nice change from Starbucks.

Bold Bean has solidified itself as a coffee giant in the Jacksonville area. These guys brew fantastic coffee and possess infectious smiles while doing it. The beach location is spotless and beautifully decorated. Minimal, but classy tile frames house the warm atmosphere. I normally stick with their cold brew, but after yesterday’s cappuccino I think I may have found a new favorite. Toasty espresso and airy foam on a cool breezy day made for a perfect afternoon pick me up. They also serve beer, like really good beer! Now on tap you’ll find Tallahassee’s own Proof beer. And you must try their pastries. I believe they’re close friends with Knead Bakeshop and partner with them for savory offerings. This is truly as good as it gets!

I enjoyed a cup of coffee and a sandwich from here last week. The inside of the shop is very bright and sunny, which is perfect. They also have local beer on tap! I would return to try some of the wonderful pastry items in the case.

I stopped here to get some work done this morning. They have free wifi and plenty of tables to work at. This is a very modern looking coffee shop that’s much brighter than a Starbucks. I loved the 90s music playing in the background but it wasn’t too loud that I could hear it through my headphones. My friend ordered an iced coffee which was enjoyable and we both had bacon cheddar biscuits which were delicious. If you’ve ever had the breakfast soufflés at Panera, you would love this biscuit! I think it would’ve been enjoyable warmed up like the way Red Lobster makes their cheese biscuits, but it wasn’t hard the way we had it. The cookies looked so chocolatey and the buttery croissants also looked delicious and flaky. There’s a huge difference between a croissant where the butter weighs it down and when it adds just the right amount of flavor to an already light snack. It should be noted that they also serve alcoholic beverages here. They don’t allow alcohol outside but have a variety of red wines from different areas, including reds from Chile which I love, and several beer options. It would be a great place to meet up with friends to do work, socially, or around dinner to have a non coffee drink!

Not being a big foo foo coffee drinker but I d know that they have ad own Knead the bakery. Well when your son runs the place and is a mean baker. You have a combo made in heaven. I went for the pastries and a cookie. This place is a lot smaller then I pictured but I never went onto the starbucks. The place was very clean but it was 7:30 on a Sunday and the beach doesn’t wake that early. The man behind the counter looked at me funny when I said I want a scone and a cookie. That big fat chocolate one. Not a cup of coffee. In fact he asked? Anything to drink and I replied No I’m drinking all ready. Thanks or the cookie and out I went. now the cookie was delish but the scone was very dry and not my cup of joe. well now I can say that I have been to Bold Bean at the Beach.

Quality and delicious coffee to take with you to the beach and enjoy the day. The atmosphere is laid back, the dining /area is nice and inviting, and the staff provided great customer service. My order: Iced spice chai tea latte with almond milk — The drink was perfect, and actually tastes like gingerbread! Perfect amount of spice with a bold flavor. Cool place to hit up if your at the beach, or near one!

Looking for a local coffee shop that isn’t another Starbucks? This place is a very decent coffee shop. The area was very clean and presentable. Their theme is very simple and modern. Being located by the beaches makes it a great place to get some espresso and then go walk on the beach! The baristas were very friendly and helping to a new comer to their shop. The taste of the actually coffee was very impressive! The espresso had a full, rich flavor that doesn’t taste like the roasters burnt the beans like some other commercial coffee shops do. The artwork on the latte just makes me smile. Even though it is just a minor part of the coffee, I have a weakness for coffee art. My date and I both enjoyed our coffee. I would highly recommend this place to anyone… Especially to anyone who has not had coffee from anywhere else BESIDES Starbucks!

I really want to «love» Bold Bean, but I cannot. Maybe it is because I’m a tea drinker, and they are principally purveyors of coffee – of which their presentation is quite impressive. I’ve only been in a couple of times(once right after they first opened) because there is nothing sensational that keeps me coming back.
