Stopped in to try a new place and WOW we couldn’t have found a better place. The service was superb and the Ribs were one of the I’ve had. The guy cooking the ribs super nice, thanks for the extra meat. We will most definitely be come here when our need for BBQ hits!!! The catfish nuggets were good too.

Had a delicious pulled pork sandwich at west alley. Our waiter Morris was awesome as well. Will be back again soon!

Pulled pork tastes like it’s whole hog really slow cooked over wood: not watery, not all meat and no fat(like some other places that just use Boston butt). As soon as I said it was my first time(why I was taking so long to order), the lady at the counter said that it wouldn’t be the last. Two bites into my meal(pork, then slaw, each by itself, to savor), I quickly decided that she’s not wrong. Now I have my next time and even my next next time planned out.

Hands down best bbq in jackson. We live in the area and this place is definitely in our regular rotation. The staff is very friendly and owner/chef comes around to check on your food as well. The big Jim dandy is my choice but the link sausage is off the chain as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

So we wanted one last stab at Tenn BBQ and I remember the city of Jackson from a Johny Cash song, so we chose this little joint to say farewell to the great state of Tennessee as we trucked it back to California. The service was thankfully slow the waitress a sweetheart kinda kept us there until a blues band warmed up and I am thankful she did. After the music started the beers came faster;) Now I live in the LA area, which is top notch entertainment from top to bottom, and I have to tell you that the band that played here would have no problem fitting in at any famous club in Hollywood. The food and beer was cheap, the environment full of good folk and the music was incredible. A true slice of Americana for the true traveling music fan with a Bbq addiction.

I travel for work and eat BBQ all over the country. That being said I should have trusted my instincts to get up and leave when I saw my order being pulled from the fridge and cooked for way to long in a microwave. This place should be avoided.

If you are looking for a cookie cutter BBQ place just skip West Alley. If you are looking for great authentic BBQ with an energetic local crowd, look no further. You won’t be wowed by the plates covered with foil or the styrofoam cups the sides come in but you don’t have to be because that first bite is all it will take.

This is by far the most delicious BBQ I’ve had in a long time! The Pulled Pork Bakes Potato and the Pulled Pork Nachos are retarded good. If you want BBQ in Jackson, it don’t get better than this! Trust me, you’ll love it!

Amazing family-owned and run BBQ just off the highway between Memphis and Nashville. I can’t say enough good things about this place! My friends and I were in the middle of a road trip and stumbled upon it. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and delightful — we felt like family. And all with great live music!

Fantastic food. Great staff. Try the XXX sauce for a good spicy bite. The staff was great. Extremely friendly and willing to go out of the way to help. They asked us out-of-towners to sign a guest book. Great time. Karaōke on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Blues on the weekends. A little out of the way. But worth every foot. We are coming back tomorrow.
