The reason it’s getting three stars is because of the people (Mississippians are super friendly), other than that Shoney’s is nothing how I remembered. As a child I would go there with my family and be amazed of all the fresh food at the buffet, and the chef centered in the middle preparing to create an omelet however your heart desired. First look at the buffet line and this was definitely not the same Shoneys I remembered. The food selection and quality (dry look) was enough for me to cancel my drink orders and leave.

After deciding to avoid the buffet ‚(as everything looked dried out and over cooked from the lights) we ordered from the menu. Ordering mashed potatoes as our side dish to our steaks, the waitress came out and got our mashed potatoes from the buffet line. Our sweet tea was soured (well we just brewed it was her answer) I demanded something else to drink. Steaks we cold and flavorless … Can I rate this place a negative star? Avoid the day time service… I can’t say it’s always horrible…

You won’t find a better lunch buffet for southern food anywhere. The fried chicken and catfish are the best anywhere in town!

Olé Mis is the best state I have ever visited. this plae to eat is to die for… what can i say… the state was wonderful and everyone is polite and helpful. oh, the food… the food… the fooooooooooo…
