Had Rendezvous on our list on prior trips to Jackson and finally made it and are we glad we did! The venison with a spicy Cajun sauce was fantastic. It was pretty spicy but I like that. The Thursday special, jambalaya, was excellent too. Broccoli soup was a nice starter. Service was attentive without being smothering. All of that and a few drinks for less than $ 100 for two — way less and much better than most Jackson restaurants.

This is a VERY average restaurant. The interior of the establishment is nice, however the food is bland. My husband had a sandwich with a hard baguette, and I had the trout that was unseasoned. A woman at a neighboring table was unhappy with her meal and sent it back. My advice is to go somewhere else.

First time in Jackson Hole and found a jewel in Renevous Bistro. Ambiance terrific. Nice little bar. Food presented and prepared well. Service outstanding. Prices comparable to others of this type of restaurant. I was not completely happy with my steak and did let my server know but never expected their response. As a person who loves cooking, I would want to know but never expected the dinner would be «comped.» Not necessary for me. It is a rare person who has not cooked a less than perfect steak. The staff could not have been more gracious and I most certainly did get plenty to eat. Clearly this place takes pride in their people and their product. What a novelty!

well, if you venture out of Jackson hole just for a bit. You’ll find this lovely place that serves delicious duck confit. We came on a night that wasn’t so busy and had great service with a guy who moved to Jackson hole for the skiing. We can get over how delicious the duck confit was that I’m mentioning it again!

Went because we saw that the meatloaf was«bomb diggety». It was pretty good but not try best we ever had. The mashed potatoes were mediocre. The broccoli was steamed perfect. The dry crust bread was hard to chew. Had a glass of wine with it but not my favorite. For the cost, not exciting food and wine. Asked for a «cozy spot» to sit and was seated in a corner booth next to two girls talking loudly about CPR and an addicted brother. Yes we heard everything they said the whole dinner even though we tried not to. There were lots of empty tables and booths at the time. Maybe we should have asked to move but we were tired after a long day.

I’ve been returning to the Rendezvous every year since ’99 and the quality, service and ambiance have been consistently good on each visit. One of my favorite dishes has been the meatloaf but they have plenty of other delicious choices for a more refined palate. Braised lamb shanks and duck confitte are perennial favorites. We started out with a plate of fresh shucked Duxbury oysters that were excellent. The soups are flavorful and they have several local specials with game like elk or bison. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. Tory was especially nice and seems to really enjoy helping with recommendations and selections. As we left the restaurant, a moose was lounging under a tree in front of our car. See you next year

Really nice spot! We sat at the bar and had a great meal and enjoyed happy hour drinks. Anjelica helped to recommend dishes, and I went with the pork adobo. Really tasty! My boyfriend had the burger and it looked great. Sarah was an outstanding bartender. Really friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it.

Rendezvous is a tried a true favorite for us. We can always count on having an enjoyable meal here. Their servers are always upbeat and friendly as well as knowledgable about the menu and specials. Some of our favorites include: Seared Sea Scallops, Mary’s Fried Chicken, Steak Frites, Tuna Tartare, and the pork chop. I love their concept of daily specials! Our most recent visit was a birthday for my Aunt. Our server was very friendly and accommodating with the birthday. The food was fantastic. My only complaint is that they were out of Tuna Tartare however that is the first time in years that has happened so I can’t fault them for that. Otherwise the family and I enjoyed our dinner. We all had a combination of fried chicken, pork chops, steak frites, and the jidori chicken. All great!

This is an excellent restaurant. I highly recommend it and eat there at least every other month. The food is fresh, interesting and the atmosphere is relaxing. I love the happy hour, sitting at the bar and watching people.

We were in town for a photo/video production and ate here with a big group(15 and then 12 people). First night the service was great and the food very tasty. The tuna tartar and alligator apps were outstanding. The second night the service wasn’t as attentive but the food was equally as good. Nice décor and comfortable environment.

Customer service excellent, ordered the locally grown food in the menu, delicious. Don’t bother going into town, this place has a parking lot.

This place lies. If you are only going to serve food until 9. Please say so. I hate you. I could have hit up any of the other number of restaurants in town… But, now I’m eating at a bar because I walked to your stupid establishment and you closed early on a Thursday. So, the other better choices in town closed in the meantime. Food poisoning.

It was time to up the stakes, for dinner we stopped off at this place under the pretense(my pretense) that there would be elk tartare. I had been craving it since I found out about it and read about it here on Unilocal.Unfortunately they did not have it, which leads me to knock one star off, because how do you not have anymore. People are still eating it here. In any event I had the beef tartare that was topped off with a yard egg, garnishment, and served with some chips and mini-pickles. It was to die for! Again, I was not feeling a full dinner since I wanted to sample different things, so I ordered the cajun spiced alligator and the fried-mini-oyster po-boy sliders. It was great! My GF ordered the red beet ravioli stuffed with goat cheese. I sampled one and it exploded in my mouth. Take that as you will. I washed all of this down with two pints of their saison draft ale — the name escapes me. The restaurant is only open for dinner, which is about a 4 – 5 window, and it can get loud and crowded. I wasn’t a really big fan of where we were seated. We sat next to these two old white ladies that wouldn’t shut up about their political standings, etc. What was weird was when their server, who was our server, asked them if their food was okay and they both replied that it was«too rich.» I kind of looked over to them and thought«it’s a fucking French(fusion) restaurant» the food is supposed to be rich you morons. We demolished our grub and headed back out into the snow. I do hope that the elk tartare makes a comeback, because I was aching for it and ended up being bummed out when it was nowhere to be found. Oh, and I also looked at the menu for the wild boar burger but it wasn’t on there yet I’m reading reviews about it. I’m not sure how often they change the menu around but it should be updated.

I’ve giving this two stars so you’ll take it seriously and not glaze over the review as a disgruntled guest. I hold no ill will towards this place and if you enjoy it, good for you. But for those of you in town for vacation and you only have a couple of meals to enjoy on your trip, please read on. I was quite disappointed with this place. Let’s first start with the boring menu. After looking on their website and seeing their game choices and interesting dishes I was looking forward to coming here. When we arrived we learned they just switched over to their winter menu which was all beef, chicken, or fish. So… similar to an Applebee’s. The raw bar selection had 2 types of oysters including blue points which are available pretty much anywhere with a raw bar so nothing innovative there. There are about 5 beers on tap and none are very good. At least a couple are local though. The special of the evening was a cassolet which, at least, is not a common find outside of a french restaurant. Also not a common find in a french restaurant? A cassolet that comes out charred black and dry. Frankly, I was shocked it got served. To her credit, the waitress noticed when she came to check on the table a few minutes after being served and ordered a new one. While we waited we had the always lovely dining experience of eating one entrée(Sea Bass — average and also boring flavor) while waiting for the other. When the new cassolet arrived it was cooked better. What was not better was the fact that the pork was basically chunks of fat with ribbons of protein running through them. After two bites, the dish was left untouched. I know you’re thinking, «Mike this is an anomaly. Look at the reviews here!» I know. I’d think so too but the two tables to my right both experienced issues as well. One of them had an entrée(the beef scaloppini) comped because it was inedible. Also, actually read some of these 5-star reviews. I saw one that had 5-stars and also said«…appetizer was a bit hard to chew…» That’s the type of 5-stars you’ll get. They did not take anything off of our bill and clearly the waitress was embarrassed when she put the check down. We ate separately, we barely started an entrée, and we were clearly dissatisfied. I think the manager probably had exhaustion from comping things. For what we paid and what we experienced, this is a must miss when in Jackson.

After driving around I decided to stop here because in was right by the hotel. I sat at the bar. The servers/bartenders are very nice and friendly. I had a beer and dinner, nothing too fancy but tasted good. I am coming back into town soon so may stop for another meal.

Another complete miss Unilocal.I was really disappointed and do not get all the rave reviews! We had a reservation but were 30 minutes early. The hostess visibly debated whether or not to seat us early which I was put off by. She finally did, thankfully. Too bad it took our waiter like 10 minutes to greet us or bring us drinks. The service around us was clearly lacking too, many people looked annoyed. For a starter I got the fried kale and brussel sprout salad. It was just bad. It wasn’t salad at all, there was no lettuce or greens. Just huge hunks of fried stuff. Why call it salad then? Because that was not at all what I had imagined or wanted. For dinner I got the pulled pork sandwich which was equally not good. The pork was limp, gray, and completely flavorless. Not good at all. The vibe of this place is cool but the service isn’t worth it at all. I would not repeat or recommend.

We had dinner at Rendezvous Bistro one night when we were in Jackson, WY. It’s were locals go for a nice meal I guess because it was busy on a Sun night for a 9pm reservation. We had to wait a bit for our table. Stuff we got: escargot $ 9 for 6 little snails — I liked them, lots of garlic & olive oil, yum. soup of the day $ 7 — I got some pea soup, it was nice, nothing special. Summer salad $ 10 — my main dish since I wasn’t that hungry, I thought was ok, just some kale, carrots, cauliflower, dresssing. Too healthy I thought, not good eats. Venison $ 29 was pretty tasty from the few bites I tried. B. liked it. others got: lamb belly $ 27 — A. liked his dish. Adobo Pork $ 18 — H. liked it. B. got a glass of Petite Sirah $ 9.25 — he liked it. Total before tip $ 121.90. Charge it.
