The only complaint that I have is that Jackson Theater usually is limited on the variety of movies. They keep some movies for weeks and then the ones that are getting great reviews and possible nominees for awards, they either have it for one week or never show it.

do NOT watch any movies in theater 3. the right front speaker is blown and makes for a terrible movie watching experience. as soon as you hear the speakers *crackle*, it’s possible to enjoy the movie.
totally unacceptable. a movie goer should be treated to both high quality video AND audio. major fail for small theater.

If you want to go to the movies in Amador County, this is your only option. The employees are nice. Unfortunately it’s affiliated with some chain of theaters and seldom has anything that I want to see. But we do like going to movies, and sometimes I end up there anyway, often with my grandson if there’s something showing that he wants to see. Usually I run into people we know there, which is kind of fun, but the movie selection for adults is really pretty poor, and there are occasionally some rather rude patrons. Usually we go to EDH, or the Tower or Angel’s Camp, where they have a much better choice of movies.
