I booked a room for a wedding I’m attending in 6 months. At the time of reservation they charged my credit card a deposit fee. What hotels do this? None. You are charged upon arrival. I later realized that it was too far from the wedding venue and wrote to them to cancel my reservation. It took them an entire week to get back to me and when they did they said they would be keeping $ 30 from the deposit as a cancellation fee. My reservation was not for another 6 months and they are charging me?! When I wrote back asking them about this, they were extremely rude in their correspondence and said that the charge is to «pay people to answer emails» such as the one I had sent. That is INSANE. I also run a small business and do not charge by the email nor have I ever had a hotel charge for calling or emailing them. Can you imagine if that was the case? I don’t care what their policy says, it’s not okay to charge when I’ve given 6 months notice of cancellation.

I booked our room in advance for a holiday weekend, but upon arrival, found that they didn’t have a room available for that night and told me that I had made a mistake — our room wouldn’t be available until the following night. When I pointed out that couldn’t possibly be correct as we had just driven many hours to get there and had even spoken to an employee to confirm a few days before, the lady arrogantly informed me that if there was a mistake, that it had to be due to my lack of attention because, as she said, «trust me, I’ve been doing this a long time and rarely make mistakes.» Thankfully, I had a magical piece of hard evidence on my side: an email confirmation, which my phone was finally able to pull up after a few stressful minutes of dealing with the rude staff(Verizon reception sucks in Jackson, just FYI). After presenting this to her, she of course had to rectify the situation and told me she would bump someone out and pay for them a room for the night at another hotel down the street. Sorry, but after dealing with the absolute ugliness and condescending attitude, insisting that I was wrong, you should have been offering to pay for MY night, not someone else’s. It was quite hilarious watching the switch go from pure ugliness to fake sweetness after she realized that she, in fact, had made the mistake despite her years of experience… No apology, just tried to brush it under the rug as if her despicable attitude over the last 10 minutes never happened. If it hadn’t been a holiday, I would have told her to put her fake smile away, cancel my apparent nonexistent reservation, and moved on down the road. Unfortunately, we were stuck. Thankfully, the room was fine and the proximity to the Tetons was nice. I can just definitely say I will never return, nor can I recommend the place due to their horrendous customer service.

Great place, especially for the price! Very pet friendly, and I was pleased by the surprise kitchenette. The staff were also friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

We booked our trip to Yellowstone National Park over a year ago, bit at the last minute, decided to tack on three days in Jackson. I originally booked a hotel right in downtown Jackson, but then through research found the Pony Express. It got decent reviews and was half the cost of the otHer place, so I booked it. Wow – am I happy I did! The customer service at the Pony Express is excellent, the beds and pillows are enormously comfortable and the grounds are kept up very well. You can’t beat the location and as an added bonus, it has a full kitchen, which helped us reduce our costs, as we made breakfast each morning. When we return to Jackson, and I suspect that will be often, the Pony Express will be our only lodging choice. Ps: I ended up having to interact with the folks at the hotel I originally booked for this leg of the trip and they were very rude. I’m so glad I didn’t give them my money.

I am really glad that I found this place, and when I return to Jackson, will definitely stay here again. So my traveling companion and I decided to go on a two-day getaway from Park City, and did not really have a plan. We wanted to go camping, but the weather ended up being really cold and nasty, so we changed our mind and decided to get a motel room. So she called up the Pony Express, talked to Clint(one of the owners), and told me it would be sixty bucks a night. A total deal for Jackson. However, we were concerned about what the place would be like, considering cheap motel rooms are known for being sleazy and dirty. We drove over, and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. Not only was the room clean, but it came with a queen size bed and a bunk bed! A bit much for the two of us, but still very nice. There was also a mini-fridge, microwave, flat-screen TV with DVD and free wi-fi. There was also a coffee maker with free coffee and tea. The best part though were the owners. We needed dinner and breakfast recommendations, and Clint helped us out with finding local places that weren’t ridiculously overpriced/tourist traps. He was very helpful, and did his best to make our trip even better. I definitely recommend staying here if you need a cheap place to stay in Jackson.

This place is great and inexpensive. They are very pet friendly. We had a nice full kitchen for an extra $ 10. It was close to the national park and close to grocery stores and restaurants. Everyone was very friendly. We are planning to stay there again on our way through this year.

We stayed at this motel upon returning from Yellowstone National Park. We stayed at Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone and we paid more there as compared to Pony Express. But I like the room better at Pony Express. It was big and clean. Our room has one queen size bed and a bunk bed enough for 4 people. Inside the room, the motel provides standard TV and microwave. Overall great experience. We will stay here next time we return to Yellowstone. The rooms sold out when we checked in and it was on Tuesday night. Other places still had vacancies.

This place is a nice little motel. It’s very clean and well maintained. Full kitchenette with dishes. Tv is not a flat screen, but who comes to Jackson to watch tv.
