We ordered online for curbside takeaway, and arrived as instructed 20 minutes from the order being finalized. Waited curbside another 40 minutes! And once we got the food home, we again noticed that the portion sizes and quality of the food is declining significantly. We ordered two(2) orders of mac’n’cheese, and together they hardly equaled one normal order. The $ 16 Chicken on the Barbie was not much bigger than the BBQ container, and once I cut into it, it was red(not pink as in undercooked, but poor quality). The portion that I could eat was dry and tasteless. Very disappointed. Paid $ 60 for a family dinner that was hardly edible, and the kids were still hungry.

Sat here for nearly 20 minutes until I was finally acknowledged by the wait staff. Ordered my dinner and drinks at the same time. My steak came out before my soup and salad. Waiter asked me how come my steak came out first(how am I supposed to know??). Took it back. Ate my soup and salad, sat here another 20 minutes before my steak came out, and, big surprise, it was overcooked! Sent it back, waited another 15 minutes, and it finally came out, a bit under done this time, but I was so hungry I ate it anyway. I swear, this place gets worse every time I come in. Do yourself a favor. If you’re reading this, eat elsewhere. Even Denny’s is better than this(and much cheaper)!!

Good steak, ok everything else. The place is always busy as most chain restaurants in Jackson. No real complaints, this restaurant is not worse or better than other Outback locations. Standard sodium overloaded food. Service wasn’t bad either

Came in tonight to meet up with family from across the state. We received exceptional service from Matt. He was kind, prompt, courteous, and anticipated all of our needs. I don’t think a single one of us had a glass reach half empty the whole meal! All of this while keeping up with a busy Sunday crowd. We also were greeted by both the owner, Travis, and manager, Gina. Everyone was very professional and friendly. They all genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great time eating in their restaruant! I will absolutely be back and have nothing but great things to say about the Jackson Outback!

Service was ok though a little slow at times. Food was fine. Nothing to take note of for this visit. All steaks were cooked to order and weren’t too chewy. The all you can eat shrimp on special now is not worth it. Garlic shrimp was yuck but the fried with the volcano was tasty. We used the call ahead seating option and only waited for 5 minutes. Watch out for the floor, it’s pretty greasy/slippery. Fairly loud and busy for a Sunday night. At least we could see the TV in the bar from our seats, to watch the game. :)

Food is great, and one of the male servers is absolutely fantastic. Service was excellent until we asked another waitress for silverware and she rolled her eyes and was incredibly rude. She then slammed the napkins down and gave us more of an attitude. And she continues to roll her eyes when she passes our table. All over asking for napkins.

What the heck Outback! What’s going on? The waitstaff was okay… we were in a hurry and it took no real time to get us through… BUT The food was not up to par. Coconut shrimp was good and the wedge salad was good… But Eric had a different meal! French onion soup was watered down… And looked terrible — usually this is done pretty well. Potato soup was way too salty and isn’t that one of the reasons why you go to Outback? The bread was cold and stale? Another reason why Outback is usually a staple in our diet :-) but not so much after today… :(

The service is less than satisfactory, food was only warm not to mention the quality wasn’t that great for the money. The restaurant was also incredibly cold!

CURBSIDESERVICE. I can’t believe how shitty the food is and how small the portions are compared to dinning in. What a rip off.

Seriously sad experience. Imagine ordering take out, picking it up, and traveling all the way to your destination, before you figured out that they were missing two items in your order. When you call the store, the manager asked are you sure? Then he said, well, just stop by the store sometime, and I will give you a coupon. Well, as you know, outback isn’t necessarily the cheapest place to order food. Sorry, but a coupon, isn’t going to cover it. What a pain in the butt, to have to drive all the way back, to make this right. And, they act like this happens all the time, and it was no big deal. I’ll think twice before using outback for take out again.

Great customer service. Frank the Manager went the extra mile when our orders weren’t right. Food was excellent.

I am somewhat surprised at how much the food has improved at Outback since I last ate at one. The food here is consistently good and even though it gets very busy and service can suffer I would still recommend. The rare lamb chops is my pick on the menu and for a chain steak place the consistency of the food has been very good over the past 4 months I have eaten here.

Our service was excellent, but what was being served had much to be desired. Our order included a bloomin’ onion, which was fine, and a meat trio, which left a very oily, greasy aftertaste with every bite and grilled shrimp that tasted rather off. Twenty minutes after dinner, I went to Starbucks, threw up my dinner, and went home. Needless to say, I will not return to this establishment for the duration of natural life.

Great service. Food was cooked the way I like it. They were out of 12 oz. ribeye so I had to settle for a 10 oz. It wasn’t the best cut of meat I’ve ever had but it was average. A girl named Chelsea was our server & was very friendly. My daughter had the sirloin with mushroom sauce & she liked it. Our sides were rice & they gave us a lot of rice. It felt good though to eat a steak and not have to cook it

tried and true. Service was very good… Food was very good. And we got the bloomin’ onion — enough said! they said there’d be a 25 minute wait, we were seated in less than 15 minutes. Underpromise, overdeliver — that’s the way to do it! No down-side to this place! You know the chain, you get what you expect, all the staff was friendly and helpful.

Long wait, good food, but semi-pricy. Call ahead for a seat! Servers gruff at best…

Took another reviews advice and ordered their biggest steak, cooked medium over the wood fire to keep it from drying out. It came rare. I sent it back. When they returned, i got my steak seared on a flattop to finish cooking it… nice and dry, just the way I didn’t want it. Entertaining family from out of town, my bill was well over $ 100 and I left disappointed(and still hungry). I’d recommend the Ground Round on the same street over this place.

I normally enjoy Outback Steakhouse, but this experience has me questioning whether I’m going to give them another shot as a whole. For starters they ran out of bread. I normally wouldn’t mind, however our server nor any other employee had the decency to inform us. It had to be BROUGHT up to the employee’s and all that was received was an «I’m sorry, there’s nothing we can do.» There is ALWAYS something that can be done! That’s customer service rule #1! Not to mention the meal that I paid nearly $ 20 for didn’t even fill me up. Really not worth the cost of admission, for both the money and the frustration. Unless you’re a glutton for punishment, please stay away. Do yourself a favor. I award this restaurant 1 star as for I unfortunately can’t award zero.

Outback: «We’re not really from Australia because if we were no one would eat here!» Disclaimer: The elbow rubbing socialites who buy into good marketing are not going to want to here this, so if you need to be affirmed of your middle class existence don’t read any further. Okay, so here we go… 1) The steaks suck… period. They are always dry, tough, and seared hard on the outside due to the way they cook them.(Ask to have it prepared on a normal grill if you find yourself stuck here.) 2) The other entrees are so simple my 10-year-old could prepare them. A kabob? Really? Grilled chicken on a bed of rice? Come on! I should get something that doesn’t taste like cardboard at these prices. 3) Drinks? Prepare to max out your credit card and pay twice what you would at a competitor’s restaurant. Plus there’s very limited selection. No micro brews… nothin! 4) Salads are okay but not worth raving about. McDonalds are comparable. 5) The ONLY decent thing to eat here is the Blooming Onion. Sorry, it’s just a fact. Summary: If you MUST be seen with other middle-classers to affirm you’re not white trash, then just slam a couple beers, then a blooming onion, and then get so wasted you won’t have a stroke when they hand you the bill. This way, you can hang out with people who don’t know what good food is supposed to taste like and they just think you’re a drunk rather than hating you because you dissed their«favorite» restaurant.
