My family recently hosted my sisters wedding here in Oct, Beautiful home, spacious venue and a classic space. Booking the place was«difficult» with a worker, but once we got to the final weeks, the supervisor Linda, was a GEM. She is very thoughtful and provided excellent customer service! I had some doubts about a parts of the house, it appears dull and lifeless. It for sure needs some polishing! They won’t polish the floors but I brought my own cleaning stuff to freshen it up along with candles candles candles! The wedding reception was beautiful, my sister was very happy with décor and space. We had to clean and leave everything as it originally was which was not a problem. The price is right for the space, The neighborhood is less that desirable but you forget all about them once you get in. I had no idea it was as large as it is… I wish City of Jackson would invest some money into it, it’s just the venus people are looking for these days. I hope the managers name was Linda, because she really took care of so much, and she was a delight to work with! Very personable and Southern! Just like you’d expect. Good home Southern Hospitality!

Originally a private garden, Mynelle Gardens is 7 acres long and belongs to the city of Jackson. Sadly the neighborhood is a bit run down these days(located close to the Jackson zoo as well!) but there is security on premises. The admission prices are cheap. There are many types of gardens and it’s very beautiful. There are different hours for different seasons, so check the website to see what time they are open. It’s also a lovely place for weddings, but you local people should know better than having an outdoor wedding in the depth of a Mississippi summer! It’s much lovelier in spring/fall.
