This is probably my favorite place in Jackson. My boyfriend and I always come back. The food is excellent and there is something on the menu for everyone. The ambiance is great and the restaurant is clean. I always order the Michigan Chicken salad, it is great. Although the last few times I’ve ordered it, there was significantly less blue cheese on it and I swear, a little less chicken! They also have the BEST wings. There is sports streaming on all of their tvs. It does get busy and they do not take reservations.

Great service, Great food, Great atmosphere, upscale Pizzeria and Bar. Everyone was very polite. We were very impressed. We will definitely be back to try more food. We are hoping the rumors we have heard about one going into Mason are true.

I have eaten here countless times. Awesome design, super modern. Service is consistent every time. Of course the pizza is top notch. The soups are awesome. They have the best Tomato Basil soup I have ever had. The Lobster Bisque was excellent as well. Customer Service is second to none.

First experience was great. Stuffed pizza was good, service was good. Second experience… so, so. Third… dear God! We called ahead and still waited almost an hour. Finally seated it was so loud! No special game on or anything and open tables which seemed odd. 20 minutes for our cocktails, 45 minutes for a salad and a sandwich. Every specialty cocktail I’ve had here is made wrong. Nothing is muddled as it should be and some kind of sweetener, maybe too much simple syrup… is add as they are are all too sweet. I’m sad to say we won’t be back. I won’t pay that kind of money for a sub par experience.

Food is inconsistent, one time it’s fair and the next terrible! I grew up in Chicago, this isn’t Chicago Style Pizza as advertised. The food was better when they opened and you find yourself waiting much too long for carryout even after you’ve phoned it in and diners are always parking in the carryout parking.

Klavon’s is a great sports bar with plenty of TV’s, good food! But bartenders and wait staff tend to spend more time worried about cleaning then attending to customers needs??? Not sure if they just want to get out of work early??? Or the boss does understand customer service???

Klavons has all the glitz and glamour but i could careless about that because all that glitz & glam comes at a price and it shows in its pricing. Now the Chicago style pizza is worth every penny but everything else is way over priced and the wait yo get in is always 45min plus. Wait staff is great which is a positive but the waiting time and price point is a huge negative for a pizza place.

We’ve been here 3 times and each time we did call ahead. All 3 times we’ve done call ahead we’ve ended up waiting an additional 60 – 90 min after” we were suppose to be seated. Food is good but no compared to the wait to eat. Giving 2 stars purely based on how the wait staff handles the heat from frustrated customers. If you’re in a hurry or even remotely have someplace to be after dinner, I’d recommend eating elsewhere.

Pizza is still excellent at Klavon’s — just writing an update for the vegan community: make sure you order the sauce without cheese in it. Apparently the sauce has added cheese, but the servers can make sure you get one without — so just ask Bring your own Daiya cheese or go cheeseless, and get the greek salad w/o feta and with the raspberry vinaigrette. Great beers on tap :-)

This is a high priced dine in pizza joint and about what you would expect from one. The multiple tv screens all over the place airing college football are nice. We had a large group and ordered several appetizers and pizzas to share. All the fried appetizer stuff was good, but not anything better than the ordinary. The pizzas included the pepperoni stuffed pizza and the Hawaiian and they were okay. All in all, nothing to write home about.

Delicious Food. Friendly service. Stunning restaurant at the 2nd location(have yet to go to the original, but plan to!). Drive thru service was efficient as well when picking up.

A very impressive place: lots of TVs and pretty trendy looking. They have iPads for their menus. Pizza was excellent, as were the breadsticks we got as appetizers. There was a bit of a wait, but I guess you’ll have that at a place like this. I have never driven past it when the parking lot was not filled with cars.

Great staff, great food and amazing atmosphere. Can not go wrong with Klavon’s at all! Club Keno, TV in every booth, TVs everywhere!

Honestly I don’t get all the hype? The pizza is mediocre and the restaurant is way too loud/crowded. Underwhelming food, overwhelming atmosphere. Not impressed.

Wow, this place was pretty impressive. I’m from out of State, but have family in the Jackson area. Been coming up here for over 30 years and at first this place just seemed way out of place, but that’s a good thing, finally something new and refreshing for the area! We came here about 8pm on a Friday night. It was jammed pack, but this place is huge. We only waited about 15 minutes for a table, but they had people waiting for tables the whole time we were there and it never seemed to let up until we left, so expect it to be busy. The décor here is very nice, it just feels awesome inside, and the staff was very friendly. Lots of TV’s in the bar area, I never did make it to the back of the restaurant area to see what it was like back there. Good selection of drinks and many types of pizzas to choose from. I’m not a big fan of stuffed pizza’s, but that’s what we got and it was delicious. Just a heads up, about two pieces of this type can really fill you up. We got a large and it was sliced into about 12 pieces. I will definitely be back to try another type of pizza or something else off the menu if I’m not in a pizza mood.

We ventured to Klavon’s to use the gift card we received. I heard this was a popular place, and though I had only caught sight of it from 127, on the way south. we had no idea what we were in for until we walked in the door. Thankfully, they have call-ahead seating, only if there is a wait. I requested a table for two, not in the middle of the room and a booth if possible. Upon hanging up, I received a text message with our confirmation and specific instructions — such as, we have to check in at least 15 minutes before our quoted wait time or we would be bumped. Fine enough. 30 minute drive from Chelsea, 1 – 1.5 hr wait, that would work out well. Popular is an understatement from the crowd in the reception area. Apparently, people don’t know how to use call-ahead, which worked in our favor. We checked in at the hostess stand and grabbed the last seats at the bar. Tablet menus listed all the drinks and food available, along with sample pictures in the descriptions. Craft cocktails, standards and beers abound! They make their own sour mix, syrups and infusions. I don’t recall which drinks I tried but the muddled fruit mojito type drink was very good. Two drinks and 20 minutes later, we were seated. They put us at a table along the wall, which we were happy for, and quickly dug into the menu. Unilocal check in offer for the free Parmesan Bread was a bonus. We ordered a bottle of wine, stuffed pizza, and two salads. Many would think Klavon’s is pricey for a pizza place, but typical Chicago style pizzas run higher, as they take a lot of ingredients to make them, properly. The pizza crust was NOT corn meal. Just be aware of that. It was good but for the Chicago purists, it’s not the same. You get 5 toppings with your pizza order. We had too much food and left very happy with the whole experience. They really have a good business model and are able to handle the crowds on a Saturday night. TVs playing music videos, and more TVs showing sports — there is no shortage of entertainment. Very loud but great place for a group looking for good food and drinks.

Jackson Michigan has finally arrived in the 21st century. While visiting my husband’s family, I was excited to hear there is a new restaurant in town. Jackson, Michigan, is home of several things, like Tony Dungy, the state prison and the Coney Island hot dog. What Jackson lacks is a great restaurant, and this is where Klavon’s steps in. We arrived around 930 on a Friday night and the place was still jamming. The bar area is modern and boasts a wide variety of bottle and draft beer, some from nearby breweries. The cocktail menu was intriguing with a gummy bear martini to tempt your taste buds. I went for a crisp wheat beer from a nearby brewery and it hit the spot. When at Klavon’s one must order the stuffed pizza. We went with one filled with ooey, gooey cheese, mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni, onions and green pepper. It arrived around 20 – 25 minutes later and was piping hot. The taste was awesome and the sauce was nice and bold and complimented the pizza toppings perfectly. I believe a large pizza was around $ 24, and after one and a half slices I was ready to throw the towel in. If you ever find yourself in Jackson, I would highly recommend stopping by one of the two Klavon’s restaurants and treating yourself to some tasty food.

On a busy night, be prepared to wait over an hour for a table. If it’s a big game night, I highly suggest getting there early. Luckily, they’ve got a bar to sit at and pass the time. =) There’s nothing like Klavon’s in the area. It looks like a high class restaurant, the best bar in South Beach, an awesome sports bar, and a classy Miami night club all got together. Somehow it just works, and it definitely attracts people. It might also have a little something to do with the outstanding drinks and OMFG good food. TV’s abound. Every booth has it’s own TV, and if you know how, you can change the channel and adjust the volume.(There’s a little nub, bottom center of the TV. Not the logo thing. Check underneath. There ya go. Front and back = change channel. Side to side = volume. You’re welcome.) I’ve sampled my way around a few of the beers and mixed drinks. All top notch. They may seem a little pricy, but not *over* priced. The cheesy bread sticks put all others to shame. The pinwheel appetizers were indescribably excellent. The spinach artichoke white pizza was awesome, as was Klavon’s stuffed pizza. Thankfully, this was over the course of two days, as I came back on two consecutive nights, otherwise the term«food coma» would have been a very real possibility. Three hard working, hungry, American men ordered an order of cheesy bread sticks and a large 14″ stuffed pizza. We physically could not fit it all into our guts. It was so good that we didn’t want to stop eating. Something similar to «Son of a biscuit, this is good,» may have been mumbled between bites. The kids will have a blast, as will the adults. This place was crazy busy the other night and I can see why. First, it’s nice to have a Klavon’s south of Jackson near Vandercook. This isn’t a far drive from Brooklyn so it’s nice this is an option. Second, the menu is on a tablet and it worked pretty well, which is really cool, and kind of too high tech for Jackson! I thought it was a great menu though. Third, the pizza is actually good. We got the barbecue chicken pizza and it was excellent. The french fries are really good too. Overall, this is a great restaurant option in an area without many restaurants.

The new Klavons in Vandercook lake is just like the original but bigger and brighter. I like how it’s not so dark. The place is packed every night. They do quite the business. I finally got around to trying the new restaurant and it was about a 45 minute wait. But it was well worth it. The service was great, fast and friendly. My daughter got a make your own calzone and I ordered the smokehouse burger. Medium well. It comes with fries and has cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, and onion straws on it. My daughter loved her calzone and it was big. My burger was cooked perfectly and was one of the best burgers I have ever had. However I felt the burger was a little sloppy with so much stuff on it. But it was still delicious. I highly recommend going here. Everything here taste great.
