Big John’s Restaurant

Ok I can’t belive I’m the 1^st Unilocaler to review this institution! I grew up with Big John’s smoked sausgae sandwiches. Whenever I’d visit family in Jackson this was a must stop! Usually we also had to take a dozen or so home frozen back to California.
Why? becasue this tiny sandwish packs a flavorful punch steamed bun, quick cabbage slaw and watery mustard are just the right combo! Cheap, delicious and plentiful! I usually eat about 4 at a sitting. I have seen grown men put back a dozen and ask for more.
Never had a pig ear sandwich and never will, but those that have them there say they are wonderful. Ok I will trust ya’ll on that one…
The storefront hasnt changed much in the 40 plus years I have been going there still a little dodgy with a down home back door feeling that screams Mississippi!
If ya don’t know now ya know. Try ‘em you will not regret it!
