this hole in the wall is open 24 hours, and is perfect for the tacos anytime. the meats are nicely seasoned and for 2.50, can’t be beat.

Goddammit… I like this place a lot but the service here sucks ass. Waitress — She puts in the wrong order, I wanted 2 chicken, 2 suadero, 2 pastor. Nope! I end up getting 3 chicken and 3 pastor. Okay, fine whatever maybe she didn’t hear me correctly, no biggie. But when I look at the tacos again, I don’t see a single squirt/scoop/pile of guacamole on ANY of my tacos. I’ve been looking at all of the pictures on Unilocal before coming here and I’m pretty sure it comes with it. And so I asked her for some… an innocent«oh, okay» is all I got. My experience here was bad… but what’s worse is knowing the fact that I’ll be coming here again(like for sure.) FML.

I thought this place was good. The fried chips were a little too greasy for me but the tacos were delicious. I was supposed to go to a different taco place in Queens but the gps sent me to this one. The other place is way better but I’m happy to know that this place offers great tacos with awesome guac. The chicken and steak tacos were amazing but the tacos«al pastor» didn’t taste how they are supposed to taste. And those are my favorite kind of tacos. It’s pork seasoned with a slightly spicy red seasoning and chopped pineapples. The tacos al pastor here didn’t have that spice and I could barely taste the pineapple. It didn’t taste bad but is definitely wasn’t «al pastor». So if you’re looking for these kind of tacos then don’t come here, but besides that the other tacos are great.

I almost don’t want to write this review because this place is so good and I don’t want them raising prices. The sandwiches are out of this world and the prices are very good. They pack your food really well too if you get it to go.

Ok so this used to be my go to taco spot up until last night. Lets start off with I ordered the taco suadero and the carnita it was gross they lacked flavor. I dont think I will ever be returning. To top it off there was a table of 3 men sitting next to us and one of the guys kept spitting on the floor the waitresses and cooks all saw him do it and didnt do anything whcih grossed me out even more. this place is dirty.

They’ve been a good local spot, conveniently a few doors down from the train station. Small but quick service, nachos y salsa always served, great tasty food. Real made horchata y jugos. Cash only

I’ve mentioned this before, but you can’t have a good sandwich without good bread. I don’t know what kind of bread they use, but this was the best bread I have ever had on a Torta/Cemita. For those who don’t know Tortas and Cemitas are Mexican sandwiches. Yes, there is plenty of Mexican food past tacos and burritos(note: the Chipotle-style burritos that everybody loves were invented in California). My Cemita Suadero, the meat melded perfectly with other toppings(cheese, beans, tomatoes, mayonaise and hot sauce?). The bread was toasted. The toasty bread contained the sandwich fillings, including the sauce and drippings from the meat, and also added that«good fresh bread» flavor, which really turns a good sandwich into a great sandwich. This is seriously the best Mexican sandwich I have ever had, without a doubt. I need to return for the rest of the menu, but the cemita alone deserves five stars.

Authentic Mexican tacos. The lengua taco was by far the best one. Service was excellent but it should be there are only 8 tables.

Big portions and only $ 2 a taco?! Taco ’bout good eats here amigo, each taco gets a nice heap of guacomole on top of all that beef and pork. The broiled beef is no joke, falls apart instantly once it hits your palette. And in honor of Fox E. who highly recommends the horchata, I too am a fan of this simple but tasty beverage. MIlky with a hit of cinnamon and nutmeg. This place seats about 30, and looks like every other taco place in Queens, but if you want bang for your buck — this is it!

I come here for the horchata. I’m not talking about the whispers that you hear when you’re in a brothel. I’m talking about the most famous Mexican drink. Other than Corona, I suppose. And speaking of houses of ill repute, Sting once left a note in one, for his favourite«lady of the night», or perhaps gentleman of the night(I have no idea, ask Stewart Copeland he might know). Later he wrote a song about leaving the note and how he felt afterwards. It was called«Message In A Brothel.» Probably the only Police that were ever really popular in New York City. What to get: Horchata. What else: Tacos. Anything else: King Kong is dangerous to planes. So is Godzilla. They both like to «Swat-Aero Planes.» So pilots be warned. If that hot Colombian singer that is married to Piqué ever has a sex change and becomes a man, she can open a joint named«Tacos Al Shakiro.» There are three reasons why Tacos Al Suadero is one of my favourite places in all of NYC, and why I come here on basically every trip to the region, even if it’s out of my way. Oh as an aside, someone tried to steal the real Pork Gyro that I got from nearby BZ Grill in Queens(Athens style Pork Gyro, best in the USA!). I was like, «hey! Gimme ma food back! That’s not your Gyro! That’ Sma’-Gyro!» Get it… Smagyro… Suadero. Oh crap that was bad. So like I said, 3 reasons why Suadero rocks my world. (1) They have delicious tacos. Not the best in the world, but definitely some of the best in NYC. (2) They are open 24 hours a day. Can you believe that? In this day and age? A little Mexican place in Queens? I know, right. Super awesome and a huge plus. But best of all: (3) They have, quite literally, some of the best Horchata I have ever tasted. I’d put it as my all-time number one, in fact. Just ahead of Taco Nazo in Columbus and Valle Of Mexico in Buffalo. Granted, I’m still trying Horchatas to add to this list of faves, but I’ve had a lot of bad ones, and a lot of mediocre ones, and only a few truly excellent ones, and this Horchata is right at the top of the tree. It has just the perfect blend of cinnamon, water, milk, and rice. I get a large(which is expensive… the small is only 2 or 3), and it seems like a half gallon. It lasts for ages and is so cool and refreshing and light and delicious. And when it’s done, I invariably wish I had another one. So these days, I often buy two large. The funny thing is, these large are given in plastic to go containers instead of cups. Tupperware-style. So they’re incredibly hard to drink or store in a car without spillage. But whatever. They’re just so damn good. If Enrique Iglesias opened this place, he’d whisper the name to you in the middle of the night, like this: «Tacos Al Te Quiero. Mi amo.» But then he’s a bit of a man-wh*** is he not? Which is fine with me. In fact it’s wonderful with me.(Tosses hair). Speaking of late night horchata. You should have seen me running around Queens at 2am with one of these things trying to catch the last subway train back to my Econo Lodge Motel last summer the night before I flew to Brazil. I did not do too well with it. Lots of spillage. White stuff dripping down my pants and the like. I wonder what people thought. Actually I know exactly what people thought and I’m okay with that. And by the way, I missed the last train and ended up waiting an hour for a bus that never came(with a bunch of other disgruntled late night folks) and then taking a taxi instead. And if this were in the Middle East, it’d be «Tacos Al Jazeera.» Which is great if you Dubai. I generally don’t. I do hetero. I do homo. I don’t tend to Dubai. Sorry if that is a disappointment to some. And back to those tacos, they’re exactly what you would expect from tacos. Excellent pastor, good asada, nice chorizo. Greasy, filling, cheap. Much like the tacos at the trucks in the area. They remind me a little of Coatzingo just a little way down Roosevelt. Real Mexican tacos made by real Mexicans. The service is pretty good. The 24 hour thing is why I come here so often. But the Horchata is the shining star of the show. And if this were a cheap shampoo and conditioner shop, it’d be «Tacos Al Suave.» It’d be owned by Rico Suave. Which would be ironic, because you’d probably only shop there if you were not Rico at all. I would know. I can barely afford the rice paper this horchata review is printed on. Anyway I make homemade Horchata. I can whip some up right now for you if you like. Close your eyes. I don’t want to reveal my secret method for making it. :)

It is a trek out here but it’s worth the train ride. The tacos which the establishment is named after is worth every single calorie and I would eat them all day if possible. They are quite generous with their fillings and each taco is topped with a smudge of guacamole. There is a nice crust on each nib bit of meat. The service here however leaves a not so nice taste in your mouth. I think the server was having a bad day but I think the tacos might be enough to return despite the service. Remember to ask for the green salsa when they bring you chips. The tomato salsa is funny tasting and not worth trying. The tacos here are worth it though.

I come hear for one thing and one thing only: Huevos Rancheros. I used to to eat that dish in New Mexico. Nothing in NY compares but this comes close. Blaring music on top of blaring TV is not the most relaxing but I put up with it. :)

My friend and I got 3 chicken tacos each with cilantro, onion and guacamole. The chicken tacos were made with fresh ingredients and tasted delicious. The waitress tried to accommodate our requests for hot water instead of cold but, unfortunately the language barrier caused a misunderstanding. The décor is a simple, small mom and pop restaurant with a flat screen television by the kitchen in the back. I would recommend the place for fresh food if that’s all you’re looking for.

Service sucked. It was quite apparent that since I looked like I didn’t speak the language, I was being ignored. Didn’t even get a chance to get to the food, so I can’t comment on that, I left w/out being served. Go with someone who looks like them, or you may face the same consequences I did. That sucks because I was totally in the mood for some mexican food.

My intestines are jumping for joy as I write my review. Western Queens is such a diversified melting pot of culturally rich cuisine, that I cannot come to Jackson Heights and not dabble into a new eatery. I was craving authentic tacos and stumbled upon brilliant reviews raving about the large portions here and cheap prices. It was true. This is your old fashioned mexican restaurant. Green, red and white wall tiles. Mama y papa in the back stewing the steak. Customer Service as soon as you step foot inside. The seating is comfortable, it’s not a big place but comfy. You get a complimentary basket of corn tortilla chips and spicy Verde sauce. For a grand total of $ 7.00 I received a dinner for lunch. I ordered the Chorizo tostada. Piled high to a pigs eye with radish, Lime, cheese, lettuce, chorizo sausage, beans and the crispiest tortilla. I paired it with a Bistec taco that was decadently oozing with flavor. The fresh corn tortilla is a blanket of love, the abundant mound of steak was tender and well seasoned. I washed it all down with a flavorful glass of horchata. My meal here was a small piece of heaven. My wallet and stomach, satisfied. Like Arnold… I’ll be back!!!

Low quality meat. I got the carnitas burrito. I was okay but then since it huge and I couldn’t finish it, I took it to go. Leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Bad idea. It was disgusting. The meat was horrible. I didn’t know what part of the pig I was eating. Uneven texture. The chicken taco was average. The Cuban cemita was okay. Tacos had no salt and somehow still remained crispy despite leaving copious residual oil on my fingers. Waiter service unremarkable. Tiny, whole in the wall restaurant. At least it was cheap.

Late night tacos for the win! I’m pretty sure they’re using pork belly for their carnitas tacos instead of pork shoulder like most other people do. Also, they actually have a shrimp burrito on the menu, unlike many other vendors in the area. Though I think at $ 12 the burrito is over-priced given that it’s also half the size of a normal taqueria burrito.

Amazing tacos! Big portions so u might want to rethink how many u actually want to get. They are no for their broiled beef which is really good and almost as close as to the ones they sell in Mexico. My favorite was the al pastor. Spicy pork with pineapples !! Yum yum. The décor is not great and service is just service but they do have great food

Could someone tell the waitress to stop watching«La Novela» and get us our drinks? :/ Tortillas can be very good or like the ones in the supermarkets. I guess depends on the late-night, they probably think we are too drunk anyway to differentiate. Food is served fast so eat those complementary chips with one of the three salsa asap! You are gonna need space on your table. Overall, good cheap food. I will keep coming back only if I wanna seat, eat tortilla chips while watching a very dramatic episode of a novela made by Univision and my favorite food truck(not on Unilocal) has a long line or it’s n/a on that night. They tv and jukebox play at the same time, so that could be disturbing for some people. But if you like me, surround by good company and food, that won’t matter. *Use cash only.

Sticking with their namesake, the Suadero Tacos and Suadero Enchiladas were indeed delicious. *BONUS: About half way through our meal, a Mexican man with a guitar came into the restaurant and sang a song that was nearly magical. This is coming from someone who is usually irked when restaurants have performers serenading the tables or live music, but we even felt compelled to tip him! He was SO good! *BONUS-NEGATION: I need to note the frustrating fact that before I purchased a certificate here, I asked the waitress if they would accept it. She confirmed, but then after I purchased it(about 2 minutes later)… she said I couldn’t redeem it! WTF? This was probably because of the language barrier, but still. A waste of $ 4. Overall the food is good and cheap, but I’m not sure it’s worth the hike to this part of town.(Especially because my go-to taqueria is closer to me and has better horchata… *waves to Taqueria Coatzingo*)
