I had a great experience! I’m kinda on the smaller size so it’s really difficult to find a pair of frames that fit me! They are either too big or freakishly small… UGH…I must have tried on a hundred pairs! Staff was more than patient and very knowledgeable. Manager Amira was awesome! She didn’t try to get me to buy more than I really needed. Which has happened to me before, made me very cautious going in. Dr. Vincente Calderon super thorough! Made me feel very comfortable. A lot of styles and brands to choose from. I actually chose a brand I have never even heard of because the fit and style for me was perfect! Wonderful Experience!

Very professional, attentive to our needs and helpful. I would def recommend this store to everyone that needs glasses. Take most insurance to which is always a plus. A lot of private parking area and next to post office, banks, restaurants, pharmacy. Very convenient location for all your shopping demands.

New staff and new management, bilingual, huge parking lot (awesome not having to look for parking) nice, professional and very committed people, always smiling and helping you. Most insurance accepted and over a 1000 frames selection, high quality of products and very professional doctors. Clean and neat waiting area. Highly recommended.!!

One star in honor of the eye Dr who performed the basic eye exam I needed. Aside from him this place is a mess & I will not be returning. Staff is disorganized & unresponsive. I was over billed & given the run around in regards to my insurance coverage. I was promised that staff would call in regards to my bill several times with no response. I was promised staff would call when my order arrived & was never contacted. When I called the office I was told my lenses had been back ordered without ever being notified. They showed a total lack of respect for my time & money. When there are eye Drs everywhere why should I waste my time & hard earned money somewhere with no courtesy or customer service? Avoid this place.

I went to my general doctor last Thursday with a red inflamed eye. He gave me some drops and said it would go away. Fast forward to Saturday I still had a very red angry eye and a wedding to perform at (I’m a singer) Desperate not to look like a monster I called up ICare & eyewear, Pearle in Jackson Hts up the street from my house. They took me right in. The staff was so friendly, professional at helpful. The waiting area is comfortable and relaxing.
Because both my mom and brother have suffered from blindness at different points due to a genetic blood condition sight is extremely serious in my family and I am a bit of a hypercondriac.
Dr Calderon was AMAZING. He was thorough, gentle and put me right at ease. He gave a me prescription for the correct drops for my condition and he also caught some eye sun damage I was unaware of. (I didn’t even know that was possible) He and his staff helped me pick out a beautiful pair of protective sun glasses at a great price with ZERO sales pressure and I was able to fill my prescription right next door!!! I managed to do my wedding gig without a red eye and I’m so so grateful.

This place ha gone down hill. Gone here for years. Last time I ordered contacts for my son it took 6 weeks to get them.
I went back in December and they said they no longer did contacts and would not accept my Union voucher. I had to submit an itemized bill which they would not provide me until after I got my glasses even though I paid for them. When I picked up the glasses they still did not give it to me and I had to go back.
Went on Saturday they were closed for an «emergency». Went today for a check up no Dr. Available. Inquired as to when and was told «maybe Saturday»
Why open? Time to find another place

Long wait for eye exam even w appointment but overall staff was very nice and helpful

The doctor was pretty funny and helpful. I would say the evaluation/​exam was thorough. He asked if I wore contacts, do I use computers a lot, do I drive at night, etc. His recommendations were appreciated.
I did not get any help from the staff picking out the glasses because I did not ask for it, but the girl who charged me was nice, honoring a deal I had.
The only real downside was the price even after the deal and also they took a week and a half to get my glasses.
It was A-​OK.

The exam was fine and adequate but that is where it stops.
The 2 young women working there are not professional at all. They are not helpful the time period was nearly one month and they lie about calling to say the glasses are now available. I have gone to this store for 4 years but never again.
I was not fitted because they were eating LUNCH.
Spending $ 500. and not given a case that fits the new glasses is just dopey.
I am very disappointed!

This place is terrible. I took my glasses for restring of the lens and they said the job will take a couple of days. It’s been 2 weeks and my glasses is not finish. This place is very unprofessional, they keep on promising but it’s all lies. This place is good in taking your money and promises but in the end you will be very disappointed. So to all looking for a place for their glasses, DO NOT go to this location, this place is NO GOOD.

I came here about 2 years ago because my eyes started bothering me. I had been going to Cohen’s on Steinway but they would rip me off with what they had. So I refused to go back. So I walked in here one day 2 years ago they took me. The doc was very nice. So Its been a while since I went so I walked in today. Though they were due to close in a half hour they still fit me in. I was grateful. The doctor was nice and my prescription had not changed. I wanted a new pair of glasses anyway like a spare and it did not cost me a crazy amount. I am glad I came here.

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is a huge rip off! They mark up their merchandise at least 40%. You can buy glasses anywhere else for much less. I bought a pair of coach sunglasses from them. The tag said it was $ 148. When I asked the woman how much they were, she said it was $ 239 and the $ 148 was the price they bought them for. If you go to
, they are selling the same exact pair for $ 148.

My experience at Pearle Vision was nothing short of perfect. The staff were attentive and helpful, the merchandise was top quality and the service was fast.
I worked directly with Arelys, who took the time to pick frames that would suit the shape of my face and eyes and even considered my hair color! When I had an issue with my former optometrist releasing my prescription information, she made sure to follow up with them regularly while I waited, until they finally released the information. Her diligence and dedication truly made me feel taken care of.
I will definitely be back!

Went in to get my glasses yesterday and was just handed them, no bag, no cleaning solution, no offer to tighten them for fit. NADA. I would think after spending $ 500 at a place they would be a little more cordial. I have bought sunglasses the same brand as my eyeglasses and they come with a cloth, and glasses come in a little sack. All my glasses had where a peice of paper in them. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN!

This place is wonderful. This is actually the first time a Doctor explained to me how my eyes worked. He explained my prescription and various other things. The Technician was great. It was a great overall experience. I highly recommend this place. I will be going back there.

The staff at pearle vision at east elmhurst have changed with a new management and the service has surely improved. Actually i just found out they are going to have a grand re-​opening this saturday october 18 2008 .
I was just there this past friday and they even have a new doctor and staff who were extremly friendly :)

The staff is rather prejudice and somewhat racey. After the eye exam I received my new glasses within 20 mins. The sales associate was reviewing my facial features and made a racy comment «in case you haven’t noticed you have an Asian face!» Really? No kidding Sherlock Holmes… that I am Chinese!
I would not recommend Pearl Vision to anyone. Customers are better off elsewhere.
