A friend brought me here one night to chill with some friends. It’s a nice place to have a few drinks. Waitress(especially the blonde girl) are very friendly and courteous. Place is quite clean. I feel safe whenever I’m here. No shady people hanging around. I gave four stars cause sometimes the music can be too loud and some of the songs are annoying.

Be wary of their«discounts», they will offer you them when you come in, and then when you go to pay, they claim you declined their offer. If you even question staff they will have security surround you and intimidate you. Food is mediocre at best. Drinks are overpriced. Staff is unfriendly and seems like they don’t care.

Nice people and very good space to relax and have fun. Everyone who wants to play and entertaining around the neighborhood should pass by.

This a great place to hang out and shoot pool for hours on end. The music is good and the service is great! Not too pricey too.

We were going to AMF to go bowling; however, there was a 2 hrs delay. So we decided to try this place. It was my hubbies birthday and we had a great time. We paid $ 19.99 for 3 hrs for 3 people. We had 4 Mia Tias, steak quesidillas, chicken panini, French fries with mini sausages, milk shake, chocolate cake. They also charge you for the service which was less than $ 11. We paid approximately $ 105 for 3 of us. My husband and son had a great time and so did I. Well be back with our friends and family. The ambiance was very laid back. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. It wasnt really loud and the music was pretty good.

This place was pretty cool. A lot of pool tables, about 30. Service was kinda slow but altogether pleasant. They have tables tennis and air hockey, but didn’t play any. Prices for the pool were decent I had fun here. Definitely would come back with a date.

Very chill place. Big pool hall, at least 15 pool tables, very spacious. They also have ping pong tables, arcade games, full bar, and food. Pool tables are $ 5 an hour per person. Pretty affordable. Great fun to hang out with a group of people! There is also a bowling ally right across the street.

A friend hosted his birthday here, and I’m pretty sure we got profiled as not being locals because we got overcharged on ridiculous policies. There is a policy that everyone who is in the billiards area is a player, and every player is charged $ 5 per person, per hour. This is already an absurd policy(you could charge for tables and time, like everyone else), but it’s clearly unevenly applied. The family of seven where two or three guys were playing pool and the others were clustered into a booth eating food — I’m pretty sure four people didn’t pay $ 5 per person, per hour for the luxury of sitting NEAR their family while they played pool, while also paying for their food. Several members of our party also ordered food, by the way, so ordering food doesn’t exclude you from this ridiculous rule. We were a group of around 15, and half of the people who showed up didn’t play at all, and some didn’t stay for the full hour, but they were all charged $ 5 anyway. The kicker was that we kept one table longer than the other, but the prices didn’t reflect that, which suggests that it’s really just a bullshit policy they only apply to certain groups of people. The one saving grace of this place is that our server went above and beyond to serve our group and all of our separate tabs. She was amazing. But I wouldn’t come back here, because I don’t play by ridiculous rules.

My fiancé and I just moved into the neighborhood, and we’re right across the street from this place. From the first time we saw it, we knew this was the place we wanted to spend a nice evening after work at. After drinking and dining there this evening, I’m not so sure if we will return. BQE B&B looks decent, better from the outside. The food was okay, but to be fair, the only thing we ordered were sliders and chili-cheese fries. Drinks were on the pricey side, which we would discover when our bill came. The bathrooms are clean, and my only problem with the men’s room, was that the window was left open, and it was freezing in there. My only true gripe(and reason for the low rating) was the gratuity(a term our waitress was completely unfamiliar with). From what I understand, an establishment must post a visible notification that there will be a gratuity charge. I did not see one. My fiancé and I are usually great tippers, unless the service is substandard. Had the waitress not included the gratuity to our check, we would have paid her more. While our waitress wasn’t rude, neither was she friendly(I think her face would have cracked if she tried to smile). In fact, it seemed to me that our requests to spend more money just annoyed her. I’ve read some of the other reviews here, and one thing occurred to me. It is possible the owner and employees aren’t too fond of the increased numbers of «outsiders» moving into their neighborhood. I’m wondering if everyone is treated the same way, and if everyone is obliged to pay a gratuity. We’ll probably go back there one more time, and see if we’re treated any better than tonight. I prefer to socialize in Kips Bay and Williamsburg anyway. We never could find anywhere chic or cool to hang out here in Queens. UPDATE5÷21÷2016: So apparently, it’s just one bartender who is the problem. My fiancé and I went back on Monday, May 16 after work, and the bartender this evening was great! She presented us with a real receipt of charges, and there was no gratuity. I wish I had tipped her more than %15, but I will make it up to her on our next visit. Thursday, May 19, I went solo and had the misfortune of getting that evil witch who ruined our first visit. When I asked for the check, she presented me with a handwritten receipt with gratuity! I didn’t recognize her when I walked in that night, otherwise I would have walked out, and instead, grab a couple of beers from the store. I didn’t want to say it when I first wrote this review, but I believe this bartender charged me gratuity because I am African American. It seems that she assumes that black people don’t tip, or don’t tip well. She is grossly mistaken. If the service is good, I tip, if the service is great, I tip handsomely. Both my fiancé and I have great jobs, and possibly make more money in a week, than this bartender makes in a month. Her service to me that night was below average, but I still would have tipped her, and more than the $ 4.35 gratuity she attached to my order. I told her this. What I should have told her(and I will the next time I see her) is that what she is doing is ILLEGAL.

I’m surprised that this business only earned itself 3 stars by Unilocalers. C’mon people! Lighten up! I just came here for the first time today(Friday night around 10-ish) to play some pool and was pretty pleased with the service, pricing and quality of the tables, sticks and all that good stuff. They also have ping pong for anybody who’s a fan, drinks, food, great music(American and Spanish) with music videos playing on multiple screens. I ordered a cappuccino(yes at 10pm) because I was exhausted from work, and shockingly, it was pretty good. The staff also came by multiple times to check up on us, which I appreciated. The best part really, is the price. $ 5 a person per hour with cheap drinks … where else can you find a deal like that nowadays? I lost most of the games but still had an amazing time — sipping my drink and listening to diverse music while playing a «sport» I love but suck at, all without having to break the bank. Will be frequenting this pool hall for sure :)

Anytime pool in queens, BQE has pool and ping pong. May have other games, not sure. Big spacious area, carpet floors. No need to ask ppl to get out of your way when taking shots. Music at much lower level, you can actually comfortably have a conversation. Some Latin dancing music at times but still cool. Clean bathrooms. Friendly service. No cover. Has parking and bowling alley /arcades next building. $ 5pp/ph, any day. Only players are allowed by pool/ping pong tables. Few blocks from train station.

This place is good if you want a quite place to shoot pool. But service is horrible that girl from uruguay was ob the phone all the time or flirting with the manager. When i went to pay for the bill; they wanted me to pay for the service and i was what service next time i will take pictures. Overall next time go there i will go to the bowling place next door for drinks and then i’ll go to play pool. Hope the owners do something about it.

When inside to spend some time with my friends and the person at the front desk was very disrespectful. He claimed to be the owner. In my opinion that is not how you run a business.

I walked into this place during my 2 hour wait across the street to go bowling on a Sunday afternoon. This place was packed! There were about 30 pool tables and every single one was occupied. Inside they had air hockey and ping pong tables, they also have a bar and grill. I went there to get something to eat with 6 of my friends. I walk up to the bar and they told me to grab a seat and a waitress will come take my order. 20mins later still no one has showed up! There were TWO waitresses for the ENTIRE place, serving drinks and food to all pool tables, bar and grill customers! I tried to call them over and they walked right by ignoring. I had to go to the front desk and complain! They finally took my order, without exaggeration it took a total of 47mins for me to see my food! Nice place, Terrible service! So if I’m not going to be allowed to bring outside food in, the least I expect is good service. I don’t know who manages this place but they are not doing a good job.

As far as pool halls go, this one is very nicely kept, and I like that the pool area is indeed separate and not just bleeding into other ‘entertainment’ sections of the place. This is for people who take their pool seriously. For the people who wrote here that they think the ‘players only on the floor’ rule is stupid, this is because people who are serious players don’t want idiot drunks, or crowds of people just standing around ‘socializing’, to interfere with their game. If you don’t like the rules, there are plenty of NON-serious poolhalls where you can go and get drunk and act like an idiot and take lots of ridiculously-ineffective-but-fancy-looking pool shots in front of your date. This ain’t one of those places. Thank god. ;-)

Came here with my partner in crime for a few beers and to shoot some pool. The first thing I have to say is that for such a big place they don’t have that much staff working. Second the prices for beer and liquor are high, they should have some type of happy hour going on, specially for college students that are in the area. Rather than this the place is really chilled and laid back to come and shoot pool, ping pong or play at the arcade.

So we decided to continue the fun after the Super Bowl and ended up coming here. It looked really neat inside and it is! I even saw a few people playing ping pong and the place is really spacious! Drinks are really strong as well(as you can tell from the pics). I had a blast though until I indulged in too much alcohol.

Typical billards place with bar, ping pong tables and air hockey. The place would be so much better if it had better management. The service there abysmal. The bartender stephanie is the only one who actually smiles and looks like she wants to be there. Thats the only reason why we would go back because of her. Oh and by the way if you’re paying with a credit card make sure to get a print out because they try to sneak in a gratuity onto your bill without telling you! And there’s no computers, your drinks are hand written!

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. Besides a few fans watching the Real Madrid and Barcelona game at the bar, only two other tables were being used. The owner was an one-man-show. bartender, server, cook, and cashier. I give him props for that. We took the 2 people for 3 hours deal, for only $ 15. I’m not much of a pool player but my fiancé is and kept remarking how well the take care of their pool tables. Nothing much more to say then it’s big and clean. We’ll come back if we’re ever in the area again.
