I’ve never had such a terrible haircut. The person cutting my hair didn’t even listen to me, and cut my hair in a way I think he was ok with. I will never go to this place again.

Decent barbershop. I usually ask for Bob. I’ve had some bad experiences with other haircutters here but Bob has been pretty solid! Plus the prices are pretty good with 11 dollar cuts on Sundays.

I usually get my haircuts on Sunday here for the cheap price by Vy. She was the only one I trusted and after this past haircut, I will never go back. Instead of cutting my hair, she used her thinners and basically cut nothing off. She brushed me off and shooed me away in less than 20 minutes. I went to another barber to get her cut fixed, which negates the cheap price I paid for on Sunday. Just skip Ithaca haircuts in general and wait until you are at quality barbers in your hometown

They get the job done. Go on a Sunday when it’s $ 10 all day, or on a weekday morning when it’s $ 12. Otherwise it will cost you a bit more ($ 16?).
I chose to go on a weekday morning since I really needed a haircut. I don’t know if they include this in their other prices, but my haircut included a free shampoo and wash. For $ 12 that’s a pretty good deal.

This place does not even deserve a star of any kind. I fully agree with the other review on here that compared the talent of their staff to that of Edward Scissorhands. I can’t even believe how completely horrible they were. I have never left a hair salon ready to cry. Do not go here ever.

I have zero respect for any barber that cannot give a skin taper. Going here was one of the few times in my life where I walked out of a barber shop looking worse than when I went in. Hair length was uneven, lines were crooked, and blood was literally shed (I got nicked by the stylist’s clippers). In the words of Chief Keef, «That’s the sh*t I don’t like!»
The only good thing about this place is that it is criminally cheap… $ 8 for a haircut, even if the cut is horrendous, is a steal in any city.

Michael is great, but I have had some not so great cuts by some of the other stylists here. This place is cheap, so my advice is to get a few Sunday cuts for $ 10 and experiment with the different people there. Choose the stylist you like best, then go with them for the rest of your time in Ithaca. With the 5 or 6 people that work here, there might be someone you like, and finding them will be worth a few initial bad cuts in the long term, and will save you a lot of money over the expensive stylists near by.

Just got the worst cut EVER in my life. The lady took one look at the picture, and started chopping away like edward scissor hands. She assured me she’s been doing this for 15 years. jezus christ, I feel bad for everyone she’s ruined. I’ve been telling myself that it’s just hair, and that it’ll grow back all day today. Next time I’ll throw down more $$$ to get a decent haircut.

The PROs: Decent Prices, standard responsiveness to requests, nice conversation with the guy.
Cons: Everyone looks like they’re old and strung out on heroin, fairly unprofessional setup, although this is obviously Ithaca and not a large city, so everything will be more casual.
Innovations in downtown was a lot more professional, but also cost a much higher sum.
They did get the job done, which is the important criteria.
