These guys are a joke. First of all, let me say that I’ve lived all over the country, rented everyone I’ve been, and have had my share of shady landlords. I’ve lived in NYC for several years, and dealt with the games that they play in an(im)famously sleazy real estate town. And DPM is worse. Far worse. Where to start? Repairs request go ignored. My apartment came with giant holes in the wall that maintenance promised to fix, but never did. Though judging by the apartment, it looks like their go-to fix is to take the thickest paint they could buy, and slather it over everything. Holes? Sure. Torn wallpaper? Why not? A collapsing ceiling? This is load bearing paint, right? So maybe I lucked out in the end. What else? A broken laundry machine that took nearly a year to replace. Yes, nearly A YEAR. A faulty electrical system(with no ground) that fried my stuff with every passing thunderstorm. Shoddy tile and grout work that looks like was done by a five year old. The works. And come move out date, they’ll take your deposit. Prepare to get hit with vague and arbitrary fees. Did you scrub your tub until you could eat out of it? Nope, $ 50 fee. Did you clean that refrigerator until your hands were raw? Nope, $ 50 fee. Did you mop down every bit of flooring and vacuum the hell out of it until nope a speck of dust remained? Please. $ 100 fee. Do you want to contest the charges? Doesn’t matter. They ignore every phone call, email, and letter. Go ahead, try calling that office number and see if they pick up. Sadly, everyone that I know who has rented from DPM has gone through the same issues. All had impossible times getting maintenance to fix the most basic of problems. All have been hit by arbitrary charges, regardless of how many hours were spent scrubbing every last inch of their apartments. One is even in ongoing litigation that still hasn’t been resolved in a year. Long story short? Look elsewhere. In the land of sumlords(Collegetown), Dedicated Property Management is King.
