I wanted to warn anyone considering renting from ApartmentsinIthaca NOTTODOIT. I was put in a situation where they rented out one of the rooms to a tenant with a criminal record and who went on to be arrested for committing a violent crime on the Cornell campus during his tenancy(individual was never in any way affiliated with Cornell). Even though ApartmentsinIthaca sold the property off after the house had been fully leased out for the year, they were the ones responsible for who was allowed to live in the house. ApartmentsinIthaca does not care about the safety of tenants ATALL. All the other tenants and I gave our names, dates of birth, and even socials. It is completely careless and negligent for them to have rented out a room in a house(houses in Ithaca are often sectioned off to create«different» apartments but you often end up sharing communal space such as hallways, laundry areas, etc.) to a violent convicted criminal and put female and male students(or even non-students) at risk. This is unacceptable and completely dangerous. Please, do not put your life and well-being in the hands of such a careless business. If you decide to live in a shared living environment and you do not know who else will be in that space PLEASE ask whether or not they conduct background checks before you sign! I took that for granted and have come to regret it greatly. BESAFE!
