Super friendly quaint neighborhood meeting place. Much more than just wine, they typically have 40 microbrews avail.

Really nice wine bar with a great selection to grab a bottle or two on the way home. We ordered a couple different reds by the glass as well as the blue brie cheese. Great place to relax and converse.

Still one of my favorite places to buy wine, they have been great with picking wines for me each time I am there. We stop in to pick up a mixed case of what we like and what they recommend(if you register they log your previous purchases to help). Since we are there why not grab a glass of five at the wine bar. We start our Tour de France viewing each year here since we first came in here about four years ago.

This is more of a review of the bar than the store part. My friend and I had passed this place several times and decided to stop in and take a peek at what they offer. We had just come from another wine shop in Arlington Heights which had a tasting, and we were in the mood to try more wines. Having never been there before, when we walked in and were greeted by an employee, we asked first if they did samples or tastings. We were then sort of rudely told they didn’t make their own wine, that they«weren’t Lynfred», and that they were just a bar that sold by the glass or bottle, so they didn’t do tastings or samples. Oooooh-kay? I’m not sure what about it being a bar precludes them from being able to do tastings or samples(I’ve been to several wine bars, wine shops, wineries, and vineyards, and most places do, no matter what type of business they are — I mean, even Marianos does sampling), or why he thought that we thought they made their own wine(we didn’t). So, not the best first impression, but okay. We sat down at the bar to check it out, though to be honest we were a little put off by the vibe of the place. It had a very«five o’clock somewhere» vibe, more like a dressed-up dive bar than a wine bar. I felt a little out of place at first. It took some getting used to. The bartender was very prompt and nice, and he brought us glasses of water straight away, which I very much appreciated. I quickly felt guilty, though, because when we cracked open the menu I realized we weren’t going to be staying long. For a tucked-away place in Itasca, they charge quite a bit for their glasses of wine! There were some cheaper wines, but anything in a decent dry red was going to run you about $ 12-$ 14, which is more than I’m used to paying, even at restaurants. Like I said, I felt bad because the bartender had already poured us glasses of water, so we asked them, since they had a somewhat-extensive beer menu, if they had any cider. The bartender indicated to the shelves behind us and said all he had was Angry Orchard. We decided to give it a skip, since Roselle wasn’t much further away and we’d have a choice of Lynfred or 1913, both of which have great wines for cheaper.

Customer service at a bar should be a whole lot better, not happy with bartender barmaid and manager! Stay away.

Such a hidden gem! Their wine selection is amazing and everyone there is so welcoming. Mark, the owner works a few shifts there and if you know any Star Trek trivia, be sure to tell him about it! Ron is also behind the bar, working magic. Seriously, if you just tell this guy what kind of wine you’re looking for, he nails it every time! I have gotten used to just stopping by on my way from work and telling Ron what I plan on cooking for dinner and he always suggests a GREAT bottle! This wine bar is small and cozy and they allow you to order food and have it delivered there! I have even seen people bring a home-cooked meal in! Angie is also behind the bar and I think we have the same taste in wine because every time she tells me about a new wine on the menu that she likes, I end up loving it! There is a plentiful section of cheese and crackers and snacks and chocolate if you would like to munch on something with your drink. Not to mention, they also have great craft beers on the menu. Hard liquor is also available. I am always sad that their hours are not extended especially over the weekends but I guess this adds to the particular charm of the place! Every now and then they have wine tastings on Sunday for a reasonable amount of money… never over $ 15. I definitely recommend stopping by here and I myself will continue to be a regular here!

I love this place and wish I had more money to spend here… I’d seriously be a daily customer if my budget allowed. I’m biased of course. The owner is a Navy vet like me. He is also a cyclist, like me. The fact that he has offered to let me bring my bike inside and store it in the back while hanging out, alone, gets this place five stars! The wine selection isn’t huge, but it’s good. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They are also heavily involved in local Itasca events and often have a booth set up at the various local events/festivals. I don’t have enough money to spend here daily, but if we all visit regularly, that’s almost just as good. Don’t waste time at Binny’s, when you can wine with the awesome people here! Go in for a drink and leave with a bottle. Maybe I’ll see you there!

Perfect for date night or smaller group. We loved Angela the bartender, the wine, the atmosphere, the prices, very new and clean… You can browse around a pick any bottles to buy or open there for a $ 10 corkage fee. Hungry? They have some wine friendly finger food, but if you need a meal they provide menus from the surrounding restaurants that deliver. We did this and Angela asked how the food was and cleaned up as if she served it herself. Absolutely great place, we’re so happy we found it!

Excellent place to have a really nice glass(or two… or more…) of wine, with selections that are much better than many of the places in the area. Atmosphere is very calm and décor is perfect for such a place. Bartender did a perfect job for both me and my friend on helping us select wines and was super nice, not pushy in any way. I will wait until my next visit to see if the consistency is there for a fifth star(am betting it will be).

This place has become our Cheers! We stopped in one night after our granddaughter’s softball game to miss the traffic before heading back into the city. What a pleasant surprise! They have a great selection of reasonably priced wine by the glass, a great cheese selection(huge portions!) and break sticks that are to die for! Mark is the owner and immediately makes you feel like someone who has been coming into the bar forever. He calls you by name and introduces you to all of the other«regulars». It actually feels like a cocktail party with old friends. If you love sports, especially hockey, Mark is a walking encyclopedia. He quickly figures out your taste in wine and helps you with your decision about what to order. They have a very good selection of wine for purchase at very reasonable prices.

Wine With Me is a cute little bar located in Itasca. Our favorite tasting room was closed for the night so we decided to try out Wine With Me. I think we arrived within 30 – 45 minutes of closing but we were still served without any problems. There is bar seating as well as tables set up(I am wondering if there are tables set up outside in the warmer months?) It looked like a few people were celebrating birthdays and one table even ordered a pizza while we were there. Wine With Me does sell a few food items such as meat and cheese appetizers and their menu also offers a few craft beers. There were a few TVs around the bar to provide some extra entertainment. They also have a very large selection of wines as well as wine related gifts for purchase. I should note that parking can be a bit tricky as the lot isn’t that large. We both had a glass of wine as well as the salami platter. Everything was really good and I will definitely visit again.

The atmosphere at Wine With Me is nice. The great thing about this place is you get to buy bottles as well as try them at the bar. They also cater to all budgets and preferences, which is nice if you aren’t a big spender. I wish they served food, but the great thing is you can bring your own if you’d like.

I agree with all of the reviewers take on Wine With Me. What a charming place with absolutely no pretense! The wife and I decided to waddle over for a couple glasses of wine after enjoying a satisfying meal at Tree Guys Pizza. Upon entering the place was pretty full. We were only half way to the bar when we were greeted by the owner who immediately found us two seats at the bar. He asked one gentleman at the bar if he wouldn’t mind moving his coat so that we could use the chair. Everyone in the place was so friendly. He asked us if we had any questions and we really didn’t. To be honest, I was the least«dressed up» person in the place. I had a sweatshirt and jeans on and I initially felt self conscious but that quickly wore off because there was such a nice vibe. You can tell that they take wine seriously here. There are wines at all price points and representation from some very interesting vineyards. It’s an interesting place in that it is a wine bar and full fledged wine store. I can’t say that I’ve been in a store quite like this. We’re really glad that we stopped in and look forward to enjoying many more glasses of wine at Wine With Me.

Part wine shop, part wine bar. Steps away from the Metra stop in Itasca, it’s a nice addition to the ever-growing area of downtown Itasca. Ha, nice addition I say, this place has been here for almost 2 years-what took me so long to visit? Very nice bar, enough seating for about 12 people. Swanky and comfy bar stools. Besides seating at the bar, there’s also table seating for duos/trios or larger groups. The wine menu lists about 25 – 30 wines by the glass and about 20 different bottled craft brews. You can also order different varieties of cheese that’s served with wine crackers. The wine menu changes regularly – I hope wine flights get added to their list of offerings soon. Staff was really nice and helpful, offered me some tastings to help me decide what to order. He definitely knew a lot about wine but without any pretension. I ended up getting a glass of Savignon Blanc from New Zealand and a Chenin Blanc Viogner from California. Great finds! The cheese they suggested was very good(Wisconsin Gouda). But perhaps, the presentation could have been better. I mean for a gorgeous bar and wine setting, getting a small wedge of cheese and a sleeve of crackers on a plastic plate was more picnic than swanky wine bar. The wine shop had a large selection of unique wines from all over the world. They also offer to put together gift baskets. The crowd changed up a few times while I was there, but they were very friendly and made my visit a lot of fun. Great place to enjoy your favorite grape!

Months before they opened for business their sign had me hooked. By the time Wine With Me opened I was camping out on their front steps and leaving nose marks on the door while impatiently waiting for them to open. I. Love. Wine. and I love Wine With Me. Wine With Me is a combination wine store /wine bar with an ever-changing wine menu(monthly) and now cheese selections. What I love about the wines on the menu are that they are not your cookie-cutter bottles — they are unique. The owner of Wine With Me, Mark, and his staff are incredibly wine savvy, but not in a wine snob kind of way. I am the wine drinker in my household, my husband, is a beer man but have no fear! Beer lovers will rejoice in the craft beer selections including his personal favorite, Snake Dog IPA. Wine With Me is conveniently located across from the Metra stop in Itasca(Milwaukee-District-West train) and is on the south side of the stop. I recommend ordering in a pizza from Tree Guys Pizza(across the street), sipping some vino and savoring in the awesome atmosphere that is Wine With Me.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite west suburban places to take people. It’s a low key place. Mark the owner is a nice guy who will talk the talk about wine or the Blackhawks as I found out tonight. Good by the glass selection at a nice price point and a very good wine selection. You can probably find the wine for a buck or two cheaper somewhere else but you won’t get the owners perspective on it. Lot of seating(can take groups of 6 – 8 or just 2 at the bar) and the clientele is quite nice — the type you can talk with at the bar. Definitely a thumbs up in my book.
