I come hear pretty often, and have always gotten great service, and food. Why only four stars… the pitchers of beer are not even four beers.

The prime rib dinner on Saturday night was fantastic, perfectly cooked to medium rare and with phenomenal sides. Worth the money to a point that I question hiw they can make money. The atmosphere is great. Very much a sports bar and a great place to watch a game, you can find pool tables or seating to have a great meal. I want to give a big shout-out to my excellent server Andrew. He seemed like he genuinely liked what he was doing. That’s a sign of a great server working at a good place. Thanks for the excellent service Andrew! Point being, you’ll probably be happy to stop by the Gaslamp, and if not you’re probably a disagreeable person and won’t be happy anywhere.

Dive place… not that great even the beer selection is low. Unless you’re looking for cheap dive bar food, I would recommend elsewhere… I don’t plan to return here.

We’ve been going to The Gaslamp for years… always with very little expectations. The service has ALWAYS been slow, but it’s a(was a) decent spot to grab a beer and a game of pool with friends. Just order at the bar… no big deal. It also seemed to be a good place for league teams and their families to grab a bite after a baseball or soccer game. I know it’s a bar, but it’s also a restaurant. The food was nothing to call home about, but it definitely hit the spot after a couple beers.(Or a ball game.) WELL… this is not the case anymore. Unfortunately, the last few times we’ve been here(especially the last time) it has been horrible. The service was astonishingly bad, the food was actually inedible and the«regulars» were extremely inappropriate towards my niece and nephew.(2 yrs old and 8 months old.) Mind you, this was at noon. We noticed that the few other tables were not being served efficiently either. It took over 2 hours for the whole lunch experience(6 adults and 2 kids getting their nap time cut into) with very few other patrons in the bar. And that was with only 1 drink per person!(We probably would have ordered more, but no one asked.) Half of us couldn’t even eat our food! I am 99% sure that the mayonnaise on my BLT had been sitting out next to the hot grill… and the bacon wasn’t even cooked all the way. I think most of us would have sent our food back, but we were trying to keep our family time as fun as possible. I’m also pretty sure that most of us had to get something to eat after we left. It is too bad that this place has gone downhill so much, because it really does have potential. Bar Rescue, anyone???

Sincerely my favorite bar/restaurant in Issaquah, the Gaslamp provides great service, a great selection of high quality bar food, and is great for game days and happy hours, all at a reasonable price. They have a rewards program, generally every game on you’d want to watch on a nightly basis, and treats newcomers like regulars.

I have come to this place many times in the past but never have I ever been served process meat in the past. From past experiences I have always enjoyed the burgers here. But it only takes one bad time to get a lousy review. I have never scolded any business in the past. But this time I’m told” it’s what we have in the freezer. The box say 100% beef” first mistake by this young bartender. If asked you tell your customer what it is not check the freezer to find your lying through your teeth. As I posted a picture of the meat by– product I was served.

I love this place. Just moved to issaquah about a month ago and have been trying out all the places around town. The bar is a little divey but that’s what makes it great. The atmosphere is homey, the staff is friendly and the menu is cheap. Two pool tables, dining area, darts, tv’s. All the essentials. The menu is great. Best breakfast for the money in town. Eggs Benedict $ 8 and most importantly $ 2 mimosas all weekend. The happy hour menu is great too. All the people leaving poor reviews are a bunch of old hag whiners with unrealistic expectations. Check this place out. You’ll love it.

Your typical divey sports bar, with standard pub fare. I had a glass of wine and the French Dip. The bun was cold and the sandwich was lacking in roast beef. The fries, however, were hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. Prices were reasonable and the staff was courteous and attentive. The only two concerns I had are 1) the noise level was off the charts, and 2) there was a group of parents who brought their underage kids to the bar(I have always understood bars to be «off-limits» to everyone under 21. When did that change?).

I’ve been a patron for years — a clean«dive» /sports bar that has decent pub grub at a decent price. The quality has gone down hill on the food and the prices are going up — so I’m done. The burgers appear to have less meat, thinner slices of tomato, and I totally notice the quality of the bacon is not what it used to be. I like their potato skins — but they give you about 2 teaspoons of sour cream for a half pound of skins. Not enough — but that’s fine — I ask for extra and the problem is solved… until now. Now they want to charge you for extra. This kind of cheap crap is a complete turnoff. This kind of nonsense happens when owners try to squeeze more profit out at the cost of quality. They should just raise their prices and maintain quality — this an affluent neighborhood. This kind of thing is received as a diss to their loyal customers. Well, the extra 50 cents you want to charge for sour cream just turned into $ 1000 of lost revenue from this former loyal customer. Enjoy your new balance sheet, GL. I’ll stick to Sunset Alehouse, Issaquah Brewhouse, Levitate, and the new Black Duck have better eats without the fuss over«extra sauce». Can you imagine red robin charging you four sauce? Stupid.

We order a tuna salad and the fried chicken, which they said would take 20 minutes to cook. I’m glad that they gave a warning about how long it would take. The fried chicken was very good and super moist, but it seemed like it took longer than expected. The tuna salad was disappointing and overpriced as it was just two mounds of tuna that looked like it came straight from the can on top of some salad. What was worse than the salad was the service. We sat right next to the wait staff’s computer and yet the waitresses who passed by wouldn’t give us a second glance, not even a «how are things?» The tuna salad was only brought out to us once we asked for it after about ten or so minutes of waiting, which was ridiculous for what it was. When I asked if they had a sweet chili dipping sauce for the chicken, it took another ten minute just for them to swing by and say no. Although it was a bit busy when we first came it, it died down quick enough that I was surprised by the lack of service, as if we were last priority. It didn’t help that we were the only non-white people there at that time, which gave me a weird, unwelcome feeling when combine with the less than stellar service. I would advise either to order to go in advance or find somewhere else.

Meh. Dive bar in Issaquah. The burger was cardboard like, but the French fries where decent. Our server was great. However, the Budweiser girls showed up on a Thursday afternoon, which was awkward at best. I should also mention the menus where pretty gross. Covered in grease, and who knows what. A quick wipe down every now and again goes a long way. Also, who brings a kid to a bar? I know that most places have a restaurant side, and this place does.(Which they didn’t sit in.)But, this is clearly a run down BAR. Not really a place to bring a ten year old. But you know this is Issaquah, home of the obnoxious parent. I shouldn’t have been surprised.

Used to eat hete sevetal times a week. Moved away in 2010. Visited several times over past 5 years. Moved back in February and the place is aweful. First owner did not like the music on the jukebox so now no music. The cook finally left(he is now at Rolling Log) so the food is not bar quality(i expect alot from bar food) finally i hope the help is related to the owners cause as others have said it is slow and you are lucky to get the correct order.

This place is a train wreck. I had a flyer on my car for them that they had new ownership. We had been there before for dinner and it was OK. 2.5 stars. We like local places so we tried it this morning. The food is bar food at best. Small menu, greasy and processed food. We went for a Sunday breakfast and my wife tried to play it safe with French Toast. They were store bought bread slices, soggy, and pretty gross. The syrup was in little containers which speaks very well to the overall quality. The service was really slow and clueless. They seemed understaffed and not ready for the number of people trying it. The thing that bothered us the most was that the place tends to cater to their regulars before others. And the regulars do a pretty good job of making new visitors feel unwelcome. There was a table beside us and the guy had on a Gaslamp Bar and Grill jackets. I actually think he might have been the owner. His table was served before anyone else and the server actually complained to him that so many tables had come in at once right in front of those tables! There were drunk people sitting at the bar yelling at the drunk people in the pool table area. Over all, we will never go back. It was a terrible experience. If you’re looking for breakfast in Issaquah, head to the Issaquah Café 1 block away. There is a reason that place has a line and the Gaslamp doesn’t. To be fair, if you are looking for a place to go watch sports and have a beer in a neighborhood bar at 9AM on a Sunday, this place would serve you well. But for a dining experience it’s just terrible.

So here’s the rundown of this place, list-form. Just to mix things up. PROS: — It’s close to home. — We were able to get in on a Friday night without waiting. — Really reasonably priced for the amount of food that you get. — Steak was perfectly cooked. — Great, crisp salad. — Good baked potato with the works — Environment feels like a neighborhood bar. CONS: — REALLY loud. — Slow service. — Steak did not taste like it was seasoned with anything. — Environment feels like a neighborhood bar. I’d come back, maybe during a weekday, to try them out again.

Four stars despite a pretty run down place with nice but not quite attentive service, because the food is that good! I had the prime rib dip and it was the best I’ve ever had. Beautifully roasted prime rib thinly sliced and piled high. Mom had the fish and chips and loved it. I even had a piece even though it is not my thing, and I was surprised at how good it was, super crispy with great fries. Brother had the bacon burger, pretty standard. This place is famous for their pressure cooked fried chicken so I am happy to announce I ordered an 8 piece with Jo Jo’s to go and will not have to make dinner later. Yay!

So… Gaslamp is under new ownership(thank god!) and I have been hearing good things so we decided to try it again. The food was great as usual, new menu and the service was fantastic… finally! A young fellow waited on us… great personality and we always had drinks flowing. We definitely will be back… thanks to the new owner for saving the Gaslamp!!!

New ownership has obviously made a difference. Love coming here after work for some beers. It used to be impossible to get service, and when you finally flagged someone down, they were rude and disinterested. They have all new waitresses, and my most recent experience was very pleasant. She actually seemed to care how we were doing! It was a tremendous change from what we usually expect. Great food! Great beer! I just hope they remodel the bathrooms. Totally divey. Avocado green counters, dimly lit, just… Yeah.

We’ve tried this divey kind of joint at least 4 times so now I can say with confidence that the service has always been poor — very slow and they never remember to bring water or ketchup and sometimes they just don’t bring the food. I’ve never tried happy hour if there is any, always come here for dinner. It always seems over priced to me for the quality of fried fish and chips and fried chicken. The burger isn’t good either. If you’ve ever had fried chicken in the South — anywhere in the South including TN, TX, MS, LA or even GA you know this is not good fried chicken. Nor are the fish and chips better, they’re just very average. The only reason we ended up here is that they were the only decent place open after 9PM. The music is always way too loud, and the floor is always sticky. It would be cool if it was a real dive bar with great drinks and food but it’s not. Not any more, I’m not coming back even if I have no choice.

I stopped by for some takeout on a weeknight, and the place was somewhat filled. There are places to watch the game(s) or play some pool, and this a UW bar, so it should be fun to stop by for a Husky game. I ended up ordering the 8 piece pressure-fried chicken with jojos, and it was good. The chicken is crisp and not greasy, although I prefer regular French fries to the jojos. It was about $ 20 for the order, so it is a little pricy, but a step up from KFC.

Great place to watch sports and have a beer. Outside seating in the summer. If you enjoy bar food you can’t go wrong! My kids love the burgers and tater tots. The servers are fast and always happy! Update: New owners a few months ago. New servers. Not the same experience. The Décor is the same. Clean and decorated in a UW husky theme and golf heavy. Convenient Issaquah location.
