Front Street Salon

I have loved this salon from the get-​go. Mark «gets» my hair ever time. All I have to say, for example, is «Paul Westerberg» — and boom, he knows what I want and nails it. In addition, Mark is humorous and infectiously like-​able. I have always recommended this place, and will continue to do so. I do not often write Unilocal reviews; when I do, I mean it. Triple thumbs up.
End note: I just finished writing my review, and just noticed the one negative review. Frankly, It «does not compute» with my experience at Front Street Salon. Not even remotely.

I went to Front Street Salon today for the first time since moving to Issaquah. I was a little nervous when I walked in because I have had bad experiences with males cutting my hair. Mark was very professional and asked if I knew what I wanted to do with my hair. I showed him a picture on my phone, and he was able to replicated it exactly the way I wanted it. He is a great conversationalist and it is obvious that he cares very much about his business and about his friends and family.
I have read other reviews that say it is like being «interrogated» when going for the first time, but I felt it was more a conversation and an attempt to get to know me better and to keep me as a client. And it worked, because I will absolutely be back! In fact, I booked an appointment for a coloring before I left.
Great place, great atmosphere, great experience!

I’m currently sporting a pretty bad haircut that cost me $ 45. Next time I want a 5 minute cut, I’ll just go to SuperMastersGreatClips for $ 12. Then I’ll be able to skip the awkward interaction with The Interrogators.

If you’re looking for a great place to get your haircut where you can cut loose, have great discussions freely, and get a great cut, then this place is for you. I go to Mark and he’s a fun guy and is quite humorous.
Priced well for cuts. I’ve even started taking my son there from time to time.
Recommend calling ahead, as they book quickly.

Danielle and the Front Street salon are incredible. Every time I get my hair cut and/​or colored I get compliments that day and several days after. Danielle is so good at knowing exactly what you really –want — she almost has ESP. I always look forward to my appointment as both Mark and Danielle are so much fun and so great to talk to. This is a very small salon but they totally do hair right. Not only that but they are reasonable. They both really care about their customers and go out of their way to give you a super excellent cut and coloring. They are the best and better than the big buck big salons — eat your heart out Gene Juarez — you should take a lesson from these two on how to do hair and pricing right.

I have been coming to Mark & Danielle to cut my hair for over 12 years. They do a fantastic job every time. They’re super friendly and welcoming and hilarious to listen to as you wait for your appointment.

I’ve been driving from Shoreline to Issaquah for years to see Danielle for my cuts and color/​foils and she always does a great job. I recommend her to anybody that comments or asks about my hair color (red). It’s always fun to join in the ‘conversation of the day’ with Danielle, her partner Mark and their other clientele.
