Been to Fins Bistro several times and it has always been a great dining experience. The seafood and pasta dishes are always very fresh and tasty. The crab bisque and French onion soup is amazing. Great ambiance and atmosphere although can be a bit noisy if you dine while the theater crowd is in before a play next door. Parking can also be a bit challenging when there is a play at theater. Aside from that I highly recommend dinner at Fins as you won’t de disappointed as the wait staff is very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and at the top of their game. Go and enjoy the experience!

We discovered this intimate family owned restaurant on Groupon and I’m glad we did. We were greeted immediately and warmly by our waiter Jerry. We had an exceptionally delicious brunch. I ordered the 3 egg omelet and my boyfriend had their house made corned beef hash. I wish I would have discovered this restaurant before. We will definitely be going back.

This reminds me of those smaller restaurants in San Francisco(Taditch) or NYC(Lupa). Cozy, comfortable, with good service from the staff. The food is wonderful — love Steve’s spaghetti and the fish entrees are wonderful. Have a nice glass of wine or one their specialty«mules», usually themed to the play going on next door at the Village Theater. And finish up with a good cup of coffee and one of their deserts — all in all one of the best restaurant experiences ever.

This is a popular place. Went here with a colleague for dinner on a Wednesday night and didn’t have a reservation. We were told that we’d have to wait over an hour but they offered us seats at the small front bar so we grabbed them. I’m so glad we did! The crab bisque lives up to all the hype. Truly amazing! I had the baked halibut which was cooked perfectly and served over ravioli in a fantastic white wine mornay sauce with a large prawn garnish. Looked as good as it tasted. My colleague got the daily special seafood red curry and raved about it. Decent selection of beer and wine. Super fresh bread with an interesting tepanade. And the seats at the bar give you a front row seat to watch the line chefs work. Definitely will go back next time in town!

We had a great lunch, staff was courteous and attentive. We sat next to the fire and felt really pampered. Would come back again!

Having lunch here today. First visit so that I look out their menu on their website. WATCHOUT! The price in their menu is different from their website. I asked the server if they have lunch menu and she said that it is lunch menu. The menu we have there’s no Seafood Linguine $ 15 I want to order, there’s only Seafood Fettuccine $ 18 instead. Good portion of seafood and pasta, but scallops are too dry and sauce is pretty light. I think $ 18 is a little bit over-priced instead of $ 15. Also, Crab Bisque is not $ 7 now, it’s $ 8. However, it tastes so good!!! We also have Seared Ahi Salad $ 18 which is in their dinner menu on their website. It’s good portion for dinner entrée salad but I prefer smaller portion for lunch menu and lower the price a little bit. Except that, the seared ahi salad tasted very good. Over all, I like the food here, and will come back when I have groupon since it’s over-priced. I think the owner should update their menu and price on their website.

We ate the Eggs Benedict and the house scramble at brunch yesterday. Service from Eric was awesome and food was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Very good place for a quick brunch, and lunch. It was our first visit and we chose this venue for lunch. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on artisan bun, and a Reuben sandwich. The quantity was actually a bit heavy for me. But one of the best sandwiches we’ve had. They also offer a choice of mixed greens salad, and chowder soup for sandwiches, other than fries. Their mixed salad is fresh and unique. Worth a try. The service is very punctual and friendly, we got seated rather fast. It’s a cozy place so can be bit noisy, and also the parking is a bit difficult during peak hours. But all in all, a very nice place with good food, and a good menu. Thumb up!

Stumbled across this place while browsing around on Groupon and it’s less than 20 minutes from my boyfriend’s house, so we decided to do brunch! :) It’s a cute, little place located next to the theater. Super easy to find and parking wasn’t an issue either. We got seated immediately and the server brought out waters as soon as we sat down. We ordered Mimosas to start off with and they were actually really good! I usually expect Mimosas from brunch places to be 80% OJ and 20% champagne, but it was the total opposite yesterday! I couldn’t decide what I wanted for breakfast, so I ordered the Crab’s Egg Benedict AND an omelette. My Benedict was cooked to perfection, but I got too full to eat the omelette. My boyfriend ordered the steak & eggs, which he really enjoyed, even though he is an extremely picky eater. We honestly did not have any complaints and will definitely be returning for brunch in the future.

Clear separation from the chain restaurant maze around the corner, this downtown find was a refreshing change of pace and a go-to spot for ‘real’ food, drink and atmosphere. The local oysters were incredibly fresh, I collect them myself on both coasts and these were up to snuff, shucked to order. I would have liked a mignionette option to the cocktail sauce but I guess we can’t have everything. I had the spring rolls, and miso black cod over yakisoba(to continue the Asian direction). The spring rolls were not my favorite as they were rolled in Chinese egg roll batter instead of the expected paper thin Thai style rice flour wraps. Therefore the roll over powered the crab and shrimp and really all you could taste was the roll dough and the dipping sauce(an orange thai style dip). They were just OK but I wouldn’t get them again. Followed by miso black cod, which could have been fantastic but it was undercooked and I had to leave a gooey chunk on the plate that I would have loved to eat like the rest of the buttery smooth fish I loved. It may have been frozen as the misoyaki technique requires an overnight treatment and otherwise must be eaten the next day or two. It wasn’t Roys of Honolulu misoyaki lets put it that way — but it was still delicious. The yakisoba bed was tasty but really with a delicate fish the noodles should not have been udon but rather a finer strand pasta(yakisoba soba vs. udon). It was again, still really good and the baby bok choy was snappy and delicious. I will certainly try it again, perhaps for more traditional seafood choices(and report again)

This is a cute place. I had the clam chowder, and crab cakes. The dishes were tasty. The crab cake underlay was too spicy and took away some of the cakes flavor. This place obvious caters to the midday geriatrics. Not for the hip or interesting. .

Entrée arrived before we were half way through our salads. Second time this has happened. These people are all about turning tables… Btw, the salmon is not all that exceptional… Never going back.

I had to write a review about this wonderful little find. We had tickets to see Peter Pan so we made reservations at Fin’s beforehand. I had the NW Trio and is was absolutely delicious. We also tried the clam chowder which was amazing. The berry cheesecake was so fresh and tasty. I will definitely be returning to this great restaurant. If you want to have a wonderful meal in a restaurant with a nice atmosphere… this is your place!

I’ve never had a bad experience at Fins. The food is always delicious and the service is always wonderful. I remember the first time my husband and I had dinner at Fins. After a delicious meal, we ordered some grappa. I don’t think many people order grappa, because our waitress said that the owner would bring it out to us and would be enjoying a glass/shot with us. That was a lot of fun. I love meeting the owners of such fine establishments. I would give Fins Bistro 5 stars, but there was a time that we were told(when I called to make a reservation) that we didn’t need a reservation for the window seating in the back… but there was no seating available there when we arrived. We were seated somewhere else, thankfully. Also, last time we went, my husband ordered swordfish that was a bit overcooked. It was still a lovely dinner experience though. Love this restaurant!

4 words: Best Brunch in Issy! Scrumptious breakfast food, dark coffee, attentive service, and reasonable prices — a rare combination on the Eastside. Our family has been partaking of this weekend brunch spot, as long as Fins has offered it – they are consistent. Bonus: easy spot to meet up with outta-towners, as located on Front Street @ the Village Theatre & plentiful parking during non-performance(most). Btw — We love small children, but we don’t miss them here!

Went there for lunch with my daughter. She found a short hair UNDER the fish she ordered. When I calmly mentioned this to the manager he accused her of putting it there herself(BTW she has long hair). When I expressed my surprise and dissatisfaction to his lack of accountability he became hostile. Though this was a few years ago, each time I think of this place I’m reminded of the single worst experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant anywhere. Even getting food poisoning ranks better.

Last night at Fins I had halibut cheeks cooked in wine and capers. Now who on earth has halibut cheeks? My husband had halibut in peanut sauce– the serving was giant. My pals had Ahi tuna salad and short ribs and they raved too. The owner Zul must hand pick each piece of fish and meat. Every meal I have ever had their has been exquisite and the service is perfect. At Fins you totally get your monies worth. The prices are more than fair. He starts with the best ingredients and the preparation is superb. It is my favorite place to dine because I know it will be great every time. Thank you Zul and crew. Marlene Winter

Slow service, mediocre food, high prices. Brunch is my favorite meal. I was so looking forward to the crab cake benedict but was super disappointed. Both the cake and the hollandaise were shockingly bland. There were large chunks of crab in the cake, but it was flavorless. I will note that the breakfast potatoes were very well done, but the meal was far too expensive to have only enjoyed potatoes. The trout and eggs apparently not anything to write home about either.

We like to go to Fin’s Bistro. Good for both lunch and dinner. It’s in a great Issaquah location on Front Street. Nothing spectatular but consistantly good seafood. There is a small patio for outaide seating. They have a nice wine selection. Mussel appetizer is yummy!
