Great, and authentic food, coupled with good service. The restaurant is very spacious, and has a good ambiance. I liked that the food wasn’t too creamy or greasy, while retaining its flavor. A few things that could have made me give them a 5 star rating — 1. Have some appetizers in the lunch buffet such as pakoras 2. The section having the pickles and chutneys is very dark, and having some light over that section will help

This is the best Indian lunch buffet I’ve ever had! I’m so glad this place opened, as there are few options in the Issaquah area. Plus, the bonus being it’s awesome. I visited on a weekday right at 11:30 when it opens and there were only two other parties there. But the place gradually started to get busy soon after, and I overheard the party sitting next to me, congratulating the owner for their success. The food was very, very good. I had the Tandoori Chicken, which is my favorite Indian food, and it was delicious. It had hints of the charbroiled flavor on the edges, as well as lemon — so good! The Tikka Masala Chicken was also very good, with its tender texture. There were many offerings for their lunch buffet, and everything I tried was tasty. It’s a good selection. They also bring you out naan shortly after you sit, and the service is exceptional. They are efficient and friendly. And, the lunch buffet is only 10 bucks, which is extremely affordable for this place. They could charge a few bucks more for how good the food is. Bukhara is my new favorite lunch spot in Issaquah.

Finally — an Indian restaurant worthy of the title in Issaquah. You get the impression that they’re still working out some of the kinks around service, but the food itself was as good as any I’ve had(and we’ve eaten a lot of Indian food over the years). We had lamb jalfrezi, the chicken tikka masala, and an aloo chana; the flavors were rich and distinctive. We’ll definitely be making this a regular.

Naans were cold, Saag paneer was salty and shahi paneer filled the dessert quota by being extremely sweet, fish had too much color and no taste and Paneer tikka starter also joined the whole gaudy color but has no taste wagon. Pretty certain their food color doesn’t pass the edible food color bar. To add to this they didn’t take the order properly and forgot an item that was ordered. Our chicken dish lay forgotten at the end of the meal and no one(in our group of 7) was willing to take any of the left overs home. The best part about this restaurant is the lady who serves water, I had 4 – 5 glasses of water just because she was so prompt!!!

Horrrrible service. I know they’re new, but they’re not THAT new. Plenty of servers but no coordination at all. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and the table next to us sat down before us and they only had their appetizers by the time we left. I’d be forgiving if the food was decent, but it was subpar. Huge portions, but greasy and grossly oversalted. On the positive side, the entrees were fairly inexpensive. All the markup is on the bar drinks, which makes it even stranger that no one comes up to you to ask you for your beverage order. Oh, I forgot to mention that they use stryofoam for their takeout containers, which is against the law in Issaquah. I’m sure they’ll do it as long as they can get away with it, but it’s just disheartening to see it happening.

The food is very good and tasty, but they are skimping on the waiting staff, and it shows in the quality and speed of the service. Last time we dined there there were two large tables and the staff was in compete chaos, neglecting everybody else long after they were gone. We didn’t get our drinks, the bread and food took forever. Had to go to the front desk to pay because I was not getting the check. Not sure if I want to go back, probably in a less busy time.

Great new restaurant in Issaquah. We have had both dinner and lunch here and always enjoy our meal! Weekend nights get busy but they have lots of seating and there are cozy booths in the bar area. The service was very friendly and attentive. We like the samosas, they are very good. We always get the Tika Masala, Coconut curry and butter chicken. Always served with rice. We enjoyed all their entrees very much. Always order more, great to have leftovers the next day. Full bar. Gin and tonics are delicious. We did come in once on a weekend and the buffet is great. Lot’s of choices and fresh, delicious options for everyone. So glad Issaquah has a great Indian restaurant. We will be back soon! Plenty of parking on street or across the street. Be patient you will find a spot! Also, they have happy hour specials and great little bar separate from the restaurant that is super cozy. We have ordered take out and it is just as good as eating in!

Definitely the best Indian food around! Love the lamb and their take-out is pretty fast! The buffet is cheap and always delicious, I think I’ve eaten here 10 times since they opened. I recommend the chicken tikka masala, since it’s a go-to American thing to order and theirs is the best. Also, the lamb Mughlai Shahi Korma is amazing but even the mild is a tiny bit spicy(according to my toddler). Friendly service, as well. :)

Stopped in for the lunch buffet 1.5 hours before it ended. $ 10 When we arrived, the restaurant was 30% full. Were seated and went to get food from the buffet. Some of it was cold and a lot of it needed to be refilled. After our first go around, a lot more people showed up for lunch. We got up for round two and nearly half of everything was gone! We waited«in line» by the buffet and watched as kitchen staff constantly ran back and forth attempting to replenish the food. It wasn’t until 10 minutes later that the good stuff was being brought out(i.e. not rice, naan, rice pudding). Food overall was average. Nothing spectacular. Pros about the restaurant? It’s clean, modern looking. Service is alright. I’ve never encountered this at a buffet and don’t plan to again.

I’m sorry but a buffet has to have food, right?!? Friday 1÷1÷2016 at 1:30 there is no food in the buffet. We wait in line and wait. They refill rice, dessert, naan. But where’s the meat?! Where’s the tandori chicken?!? Very disappointed. Obviously unprepared for real business!

Cheap, tasty, authentic, clean Indian buffet. Came in on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and number of choices I had for the buffet. They had some goat, chicken, daal, naan, and dessert. All were flavorful and temperature of food was kept hot. Waiters and waitresses were attentive and cleaned up plates very efficiently. Water filling speed was A+. Restaurant atmosphere was a little dark, but comfortable. Nice bar towards the back of the restaurant. Glad to have this addition to Downtown Issaquah. 5⁄5 highly recommend and would be back!

The décor is beautiful, the lighting is great, the food is hit or miss, the service is wanting. We arrived on a weeknight when the restaurant was nearly empty. It was strange but they seated the few patrons all against the wall, bunched up together instead of spreading us out to make the restaurant look less empty. Throughout the meal the front desk guy, the manager/bar tender and the 3 – 4 servers were all standing around looking bored. Maybe they were overstaffed on a weeknight? Since we arrived early enough for HH the waiter recommended mutton chops, which were very good. We also had calamari, which came with a spicy sauce, that was very good too. However the waiter did not know which beers were on tap which was lame. Also he was nice but barely audible. For entrees we ordered chicken tikka masala(quite good), coconut chicken curry(meh), butter sauce chicken(okay), goat vindaloo(meh), keema kebab(the weakest dish of all, tasted like boiled meat instead of grilled), plain naan(good), garlic spinach naan(a bit greasy), mango lassi(very good). We ordered one thing for dessert. When it arrived we asked the Mexican waitress what it was called, she said she just calls it «rice pudding». If you are going to work in an Indian restaurant, at least learn the names of the dishes. When we asked her something else she said WHAT?! really loud in a near empty restaurant, which was quite rude. The final bill came out to over $ 120 for 4, which is high for an ethnic restaurant. This is an ethnic restaurant that tries to go upscale but doesn’t quite make it, at least not yet. Some of the dishes could use more flavor. The servers need professional training. I hope they work out the kinks as Issaquah could use a good Indian restaurant.

Overpriced and unimpressive. Service is decent but that may be because they are newly opened and are eager to make a good impression. The décor is nice but be ready to leave smelling like curry and spices from head to toe(maybe they need a better exhaust in the kitchen or better air circulation in the dining area). Very unimpressed(actually, flat out disgusted) by the food. Samosa was raw and doughy inside. Malai Kofta was still cold in the middle probably because it was pulled out of the freezer just before being cooked. The kofta sauce left salt, seasoning, and much more to be desired. Not likely to come back. There are better Indian food options on the eastside.

We ordered the lamb tandoori(not the rack of lamb), dahl Bukhara, and Baingan bharta(eggplant curry), and the Malabar pratha(bread with a curry dippy sauce). The dahl, baingan bharta, and pratha are all excellent. The lamb is very good too, but it is a little too lamby for me. The spices in the curry dishes blend very well. They are tasting but don’t feel greasy(as in swimming in ghee). We are not Indians but are Indian food aficionados. I am very glad that we found this«local» restaurant in Issaquah. Service is attentive, but I think it can be improved as many of the waiters and waitresses don’t seem to know the answers to our questions. I think this restaurant has many vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. There are chicken, fish, prawns, lamb, and goat. It even features a tandoori lobster. There are also some American food selections and margaritas! Beer selection is very good.

Best Indian I’ve ever had hands down. Nice, new, clean and super friendly. Do yourself a favor and order the Naan flatbread with the paneer cheese.(See pic) Everything from the appetizer to the main course(Tikki Masala) came out hot and wonderful. Bring your friends.

Service was very good and the waiters were very attentive. 5 star rating for service. Food selection was mostly vegetarian, only 2 choices of meat– chicken & goat. The chicken tandoori was dried out and the Chicken Tikka Masala only had a few pieces of chicken and sauce left on the serving tray. What’s worst was– EVERYTHING on the buffet table was cold! If the restaurant commits to serving lunch buffet from 11:30am-2:30pm, then the quality of food served should be fresh from open to close.

Finally an authentic north indian restaurant in Issaquah. Really warm and welcoming hosts. Naan and Paranthas are served fresh off the oven and with just the right crispiness. We have been there a few times. The food is really good. Love their Malai Kofta and Daal Bukhara. And the host is always sweet enough to bring in a dessert on the house. The ambience is formal yet comfortable and relaxing. Try their Kingfisher on the tap– India’s most popular lager.

I loved it, and my wife who is slowly expanding her comfort zone for foreign foods loved it as well. She was convinced until now that she would never like Indian cuisine. Lots of diversity in dishes, so we were able to find something that we each liked.
