Drove by this place on our way back to Miami. If you’re in a hurry don’t come here. Good took 30 mins for the to come out. Ordered lobster mac and cheese and it was ok. Portion is very small. My husband ordered chicken sandwich and he said it was good but they forgot his onion rings. It would have been a three star but they forgot the onions rings and portion was small.

Meat is a nice place to find a good craft beer and get an excellent Burger. It is a small establishment with limited seating but I would not let that detract from the overall dining experience. We had our beer and burgers outside on the front patio. I ordered the pig and cow burger which was satisfying… 5 oz chorizo patty and a 5 oz beefy burger with beer braised onions. The best of both!

I was excited to try this place given the previous reviews, we ordered the fried green tomatoes(the crust was thick and greasy), the inside out juicy Lucy and truffle fries, lobster po boy. All of the food was cold, I did not finish the burger for fear of Lucy poopey.

Burgers were awesome. Fries were really good as well. Service and execution were lacking. No soda or hot dogs. Burgers were a little over-cooked. Good beer though.

If you like creative fresh food that is very well thought out and prepared you will love MEAT. Everything we have tried is Tasty tasty tasty and very consistent week to week. The beer cheese soup is off the charts. Excellent selection of beer on tap and a super friendly staff. We have eaten here 3 times in the past two weeks and are planning to go back tonite to try more on the menu. My mouth is watering just thinking of this place.

We often drive from Miami to our vacation home in Key West and typically we stop along the Overseas Highway(US1) for fresh seafood. However, on our way back to Miami recently we took some advice and stopped in for lunch. This is a terrific little pub with a fantastic beer selection and one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten. You won’t be disappointed. The classic burger was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and worthy of making a trip out of your way to sup. My advice, in the hot supper months pair your savory burger with a slightly fruity Stiegl radler!

At first this place seemed a bit off putting, you’re told to grab your own menu from a bucket and then proceed to seat where you’d like and then when you’re ready you have to go up to a counter to order. We decided to go sit at the bar and the bartender Gage(hope I got the right spelling) was beyond amazing, my boyfriend wanted to try a new beer so he asked for his guidance and sampled some, Gage gave a great option in the end. The food was pretty good I had the chicken grilled sandwich it was pretty tasty. The place overall had a very authentic feeling and was even visited by Guy Fieri which is enough for me, service was great and the entire experience was very pleasant!

I was initially excited about this place given the high reviews. We arrived for lunch. After eating a lot of fried food and French fries the previous days on our trip down to the Keys we wanted to get something delicious and slightly healthier. We ordered the classic grilled chicken sandwich– it was okay– and a green salad– which was average. My husband couldn’t help but order the pork rinds(not healthy but also not usually on a menu!) which he said he liked a lot. We were starving and it was late afternoon so we were very disappointed at the 50 minute wait for the food to come out. We noticed everyone else seemed to be waiting a while for their orders as well. We were a bit disappointed about the long wait and the average food. We probably should of just stuck to burgers and beers– the high reviews seem to be associated with burgers and beers.

Wow — Definitely our favorite meal while staying up the road in Key Largo(not counting seafood at Key Largo fisheries). This place just does it right Beer — yes please. Best selection of beer between Miami and Key West(and including Key west). A fantastic selection that we could of kept drinking well past our kids ability to watch ipads Food — from awesome kids meals to the best burgers…I can’t say how great our food was. There are so many touristy places i the Keys. This isn’t.. .its just solid good food. I got the Lucy(I believe) Happy Hour — looked awesome(due to the above) though we missed it. DONOT repeat our mistake!

M.E.A.T. is Florida’s best burger by far. I’ve been to both locations — almost a year apart and loved both experiences. The burger to get, the only burger to get, is the inside out juicy lucy. Words alone cannot adequately explain how good this burger is. If I could lick the paper it came on, I would. The fries, cooked in duck fat, are crisp and tasty. This is a must stop for anyone on the keys.

Pretty pricey given the quality, but not a bad place to eat given the alternatives. They also have great drink specials if you happen to make it before the end of happy hour. The salad was standard, pretty light on the chicken. The burger was also pretty typical, cooked to the right temperature and good proportion of meat to condiments.

Very good. Came by once and picked up lobster Mac, which was tasty. This time I picked up a juicy lamb burger, which was on Sunday’s specials. It came topped w a mint chimichurri. Overall excellent and fresh. Their sauces are also homemade down to the ketchup, which I can also appreciate. Try one of their house made sodas too. Will be back again the next time I’m passing through Isla Morada.

Small place… my buddies and myself sat at the counter. Server was friendly and knew his menu. We all ordered the Inside out Juicy Lucy. Burger was done to perfection and very tasty. We also had the Lobster Mac and cheese… not impressed… very salty… also shared the Islamorada fried chicken… although it was very tasty, it was swimming in oil in the basket. To sum up I highly recommend the juicy lucy. period

This is the mothership of my favorite meatery in Boca, where it inhabits the bottom of an unlikely office building. M.E.A.T. Is a wonderful hidden gem tucked into one of the many strip malls that reach out to the sluggish traffic of Overseas Highway with promises of cheap sandals, shells, boat canvas, souvenirs and palm readings. The burgers are amazing, but today I went for their house made pastrami, on special. They cure it like I do at home: Long brine and seasoning times, perfect smoke and of course A++ grade brisket. Katz’s Deli in NYC likes to claim that they hold the world pastrami title, and they cook up tons on the lower East Side of Manhattan. Honestly? M.E.A.T.‘s is better. More tender. Better lean to fat ratio. They have killer truffle fries and a great assortment of craft beers. You order at the counter but the service is first rate. It’s not a view or romance place, but if your inner carnivore is craving a dalliance with deliciousness, this absolutely is your destination stop in the Keys.

After months of mainly eating pizza, I decided that somethign had to change… I don’t even like pizza like that, I just get it for the convenience because it’s less than a 3 minute walk from work. Anyway, I took to Unilocal hoping to find something that would be appealing to my tastebuds and behold! Initially, what caught my attention was the name of the establishment… M.E.A.T… Meat… I love meat. I love burgers! I read the reviews and for the majority of the part, they are beyond satisfatory. A look at the menu and I am sold. I opt for the Nancy Pants(5 oz Angus Burger served with Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato & House Fries). I call in my order hoping that I can just grab and go. The man that answered the phone was very courteous and once I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order I was greeted by a friendly woman standing at the register. The meal was well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and still by the time I reached my office 10 minutes later. While I didn’t dine there, the atmosohere was so relaxed that I would like to return and dine in.

Whaaaa!!! This place totally rocks!!! We showed up in a small group, at the last hour of service, were quickly intercepted at the door where we ordered our beers and were asked to take a seat. The menu is not long, but the food here is elaborate and needs a description. If you read menus before coming to restaurants, this may prove useful here. For appetizers we had some BBQ chicken wings and some pork rinds, yes, we have no religious beliefs whatsoever, and I ordered the Cow & Pig Burger, because it looked sinful enough for me. So, the chicken wings were very tender. But I mean tender, not overcooked or dried in the least bit. Plus, the homemade BBQ sauce was very good. They came topped with blue cheese crumbles, and I don’t think I dipped them in any sauce. The pork rinds were also good, but I am not a pork rinds aficionado, so even though they were good and didn’t taste burnt or like oil, I didn’t love them. But they were good. Next, the Cow & Pig Burger. This is a beef patty topped with a chorizo patty, so like a double burger, one patty was beef and the other one pork. And this is topped with beer caramelized onion and provolone cheese. I though momentarily about being an absolute beast and adding an egg to this, but I wanted to taste the patties, so I restrained myself. Also, I had been wanting to eat an Argentinian chorizo sandwich(aka choripan), so I wanted to taste the chorizo on my burger. Needless to say, this burger was awesome, cooked medium like I asked, and so full of flavor. The bread was soft, the patties were soft, it was incredible. And the duck fat fries were a very nice side for this burger. Quick fun fact: when it comes to Latin America, every country has a type of chorizo(sausage). There is Argentinian, Uruguayan, Bolivian, Colombian, Brazilian, Mexican, etc. It you are into Latin American gastronomy, you will soon find out that almost every country has a different version of every dish, like empanadas, ceviche, tamal, etc. So, the chorizo that I was hoping to get on my Cow & Pig Burger was the Argentinian type. One of my companions thought the chorizo patty was going to be like a frita, because he is Cuban. But I had read the menu and saw they served it with chimichurri sauce(Argentinian/Uruguayan) so I thought it was going to be that kind. And it was, although not as strong as a traditional Argentinian chorizo, but really good nonetheless. And then we shared a dessert, a Chips Ahoy! bread pudding. It came with a type of caramel sauce, and again, it was deliciously silky and smooth. Being a fried chicken aficionado, and noticing it listed on the menu, I placed an order to go. Now, I know that fried chicken *to go* is a bad deal because it gets soggy, but I had to try it. After all, I had just enjoyed a glorious meal. About the chicken, well, it was well made, it had some Cajun seasoning, maybe buttermilk, something sweet, it was moist, etc. But if you really ask me, it is not their strong suit. The chicken comes with fries though, and those are maddening. Overall, an excellent place to have burgers and hang out with friends. Service is friendly and efficient, prices are good, food is excellent, and it’s all in a laid back area where you can enjoy beers and talk about the weather. I almost forgot. Their shakes are also amazing!

When you think of the Keys, you think of fish… And LOTS of it! I could eat fish all day every day, but after awhile, I start to crave a juicy burger. M.E.A.T. Eatery And Taproom fills that void in seafood loving Islamorada. It’s a casual spot where you can order at the counter and your meal will come soon after. The only thing is that the menu is BIG so if it’s your first time, feel free to take a seat and someone can come take your order. I wanted a burger(although so many of the other sandwiches sounded delicious), and the waitress strongly recommend the Inside-Out Juicy Lucy, pimento cheese and bacon stuffed Angus burger, topped with American cheese, lettuce and tomato… My mouth is drooling just thinking about it. With one bite, the cheese exploded into a river of oozing yellow goodness. I didn’t even care my face was covered in the stuff, I enjoyed every last bite. It came with«house fries» but don’t let this humble name deceive you. They’re cooked in duck fat so you know they’re going to be good. Dipped in the housemade ketchup, I couldn’t stop eating it all. We also got the pork rinds with cilantro lime aioli and wings to start. The wings practically fell off the bone, while the pork rinds(well, mainly the aioli) were addictive. I had to remind myself to save room for the burger! They have a wide variety of beer on draft and BEER milkshakes! Think Guiness blended with Nutella ice cream. Speaking of Nutella ice cream, we got a scoop of that served with our Chips Ahoy bread pudding. To die for. Their bread pudding offering changes all the time and I’d say whatever it is, just order it. The service was super friendly even when we entered a little before it was about to close. They took time to walk through the menu(don’t miss the Specials board) and brought out the food super fast! So yeah, five stars for this burger joint for filling a void in The Keys and being there when those meaty cravings strike!

Super Bude. Nicht der beste Burger meines Lebens. Aber tolle MIlchshakes. Guinness-Nutella-Shake unbedingt probieren. Super lecker! Wenn man wie wir nicht so auf Schickimicki steht sondern es lieber ein wenig rustikaler und lustig mag, sollte man auf jeden Fall hier einkehren. Gute Erfahrung. Wie waren zwei Tage am Stück dort :-)
